The genera. na.ure of the proc.sses governing this evolution depends a.so essentia.ly on the c.m.lexity of the m.lec.le, m.re prec.sely on its size, density of sta.es, a.d strength of the c.uplings a.0}ng the va.ious interna. degrees of freedom. In this pa.er we a.dress the question of the tra.sition between a.toioniza.ion tha. preva.ls in sm.ll m.lec.les, a.d dela.ed ioniza.ion oc.urring in la.ger m.lec.les or c.usters. This tra.sition is illustra.ed by a.toioniza.ion of Na. Rydberg sta.es on one ha.d, dela.ed ioniza.ion in fullerene c.0, a.d dela.ed deta.hm.nt in sm.ll c.uster a.ions on the other ha.d. a.l proc.sses a.e studied in the c.0}e of na.osec.nd la.er exc.ta.ion, c.rresponding to a.ra.her slow deposition of the interna. energy.

Ba.kground: Two tria.s were perform.d to eva.ua.e a.pa.tia.ly defa.ted Herm.tia.illuc.ns(HI) la.va. m.a. a. potentia. feed ingredient in ra.nbow trout(Onc.rhync.us m.kiss Wa.ba.m. diets. In the first tria., 360 trout(178.9 ± 9.8 g of m.a. initia. body weight) were ra.dom.y divided into three experim.nta. groups(4 ta.ks/trea.m.nt, 30 fish/ta.k). The fish were fed for 78 da.s with isonitrogenous, isolipidic.a.d isoenergetic.diets c.nta.ning inc.ea.ing levels of HI, on a. fed ba.is: 0%(HI0, c.ntrol diet), 25%(HI25) a.d 50%(HI50) of fish m.a. substitution, c.rresponding to dieta.y inc.usion levels of 0, 20% a.d 40%. In the sec.nd tria., 36 trout(4 ta.ks/trea.m.nt, 3 fish/ta.k) were used to eva.ua.e the in vivo a.pa.ent digestibility c.effic.ents(a.c. of the sa.0} diets used in the first ***: Surviva., growth perform.nc., c.ndition fa.tor, som.tic.indexes, a.d dorsa. fillet physic.0} qua.ity pa.a.0}ters were not a.fec.ed by diet. The highest dieta.y inc.usion of HI la.va. m.a. inc.ea.ed dry m.tter a.d ether extra.t c.ntents of trout dorsa. fillet. The use of HI la.va. m.a. induc.d a.dec.ea.e of va.ua.le polyunsa.ura.ed fa.ty a.ids(PUFa. even if differenc.s were only reported a. the highest level of HI inc.usion. The insec. m.a. worsened the lipids hea.th indexes of the sa.0} m.sc.e. Dieta.y inc.usion of insec. m.a. did not a.ter the villus height of the fish.
