Preliminary analysis on roles of metal–organic compounds in the formation of invisible gold

The paper comprises new analytical data on the nature and occurrence of gold in solid pyrobitumen,closely associated with the main gold-bearing sulfide arsenic ores of the Bakyrchik gold deposit(Kazakhstan),related to post-collisional magmatic-hydrothermal *** mineralization of the deposit occurs mainly in the form of an“invisible”type of gold in the structures of arsenian pyrite and arsenopyrite,and the form of gold-organic compounds of pyrobitumen in carbonaceous-terrigenous sequences of Carboniferous *** and electron microscopic analysis,Raman and FT-Infrared analysis,mineralogical and three-step sequential extraction analysis(NH2OHHCl,H2O2,HNO3?HCl)has been carried out using 9 ore samples(from 3 different types of ores)for a comprehensive study of pyrobitumen and sulfide arsenic ores focusing mainly on organic *** sequentially extracted precious metal content of pyrobitumen reaches up to 7 ppm gold and other metals like Ag 4 ppm,Pt 31 ppb,and Pd 26 ppb,forming metal–organic compounds,while arsenic sulfide minerals incorporate 11 ppm gold,39 ppm Ag,0.49 ppm *** enrichment of gold associating with organic matter and sulfide ore minerals was confirmed in this *** matter was active in the migration of gold and the capture of gold by ***,the reductive organic matter agent released gold,most likely for the sulfide arsenic ore *** was a decisive factor in the concentration,transportation,and preservation of gold in the deposit.

Isolated lymphoid follicles in colon: Switch points between inflammation and colorectal cancer?

Gut-associated lymphoid tissue is supposed to play a central role in both the organization of colonic repair mechanisms and colorectal carcinogenesis. In inflammatory conditions, the number, diameter and density of isolated lymphoid follicles (ILFs) increases. They are not only involved in immune surveillance, but their presence is also indispensable in normal mucosal regeneration of the colon. In carcinogenesis, ILFs may play a dual role. On the one hand they may support tumor growth and the metastatic process by vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling and producing a specific cytokine and cellular milieu, but on the other hand their presence is sometimes associated with a better prognosis. The relation of ILFs to bone marrow derived stem cells, follicular dendritic cells, subepithelial myofibroblasts or crypt formation, which are all involved in mucosal repair and carcinogenesis, has not been directly studied. Data about the putative organizer role of ILFs is scattered in scientific literature.

Injury-associated reacquiring of intestinal stem cell function

Epithelial layer of the intestine relies upon stem cells for maintaining homeostasis and *** types of stem cells are currently defined in intestinal crypts:the cycling crypt base columnar cells and quiescent *** several candidate markers and regulators of rapidly cycling and quiescent stem cells have been identified so far,the exact nature of quiescent cells is still questionable since investigations mainly focused on candidate markers rather than the label-retaining population *** results,however,have streng-thened the argument for functional *** a lineage tracing strategy label-retaining cells(LRCs)of the intestinal epithelium were marked,then followed by a pulse-chase analysis it was found that during homeostasis,LRCs were Lgr5-positive and were destined to become Paneth and neuroendocrine ***,it was demonstrated that LRCs are capable of clonogenic growth by recall to the self-renewing pool of stem cells in case of epithelial *** new findings highlight on the hierarchical and spatial organization of intestinal epithelial homeostasis and the important plasticity of progenitors during tissue regeneration,moreover,provide a motivation for studying their role in disorders like colorectal cancer.

Issues and opportunities of stem cell therapy in autoimmune diseases

The purpose of regenerative medicine is to restore or enhance the normal function of human cells, tissues, and organs. From a clinical point of view, the use of stem cells is more advantageous than differentiated cells because they can be collected more easily and in larger quantities, their proliferation capacity is more pronounced, they are more resistant in cell culture, their aging is delayed, they are able to form a number of cell lines, and they are able to promote vascularization of tissue carriers. The therapeutic use of stem cells for disease modification, immunomodulation, or regenerative purposes are undoubtedly encouraging, but most studies are still in their early stages, and the clinical results reported are not clear with regard to therapeutic efficacy and potential side effects. Uniform regulation of the clinical application of stem cells is also indispensable for this highly customizable, minimally invasive, individualized therapeutic method to become a successful and safe treatment alternative in many different autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders.

Restricted Summability of Fourier Transforms and Local Hardy Spaces

A general summability method, the so-called θ-summability is considered for multi-dimensional Fourier transforms. Under some conditions on θ, it is proved that the maximal operator of the θ-means defined in a cone is bounded from the amalgam Hardy space W（hp, e∞） to W（Lp,e∞）. This implies the almost everywhere convergence of the θ-means in a cone for all f ∈ W（L1, e∞） velong to L1.

Disagreements in the therapeutic use of mesenchymal stem cellderived secretome

In a recent article,the authors provide a detailed summary of the characteristics and biological functions of mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs),as well as a discussion on the potential mechanisms of action of mSC-based *** describe the morphology,biogenesis,and current isolation techniques of exosomes,one of the most important fractions of the mSC-derived *** also summarize the characteristics of mSC-derived exosomes and highlight their functions and therapeutic potential for tissue/organ regeneration and for kidney,liver,cardiovascular,neurological,and musculoskeletal diseases,as well as cutaneous wound *** the fact that mSCs are regarded as an important pillar of regenerative medicine,their regenerative potential has been demonstrated to be limited in a number of pathological *** negative effects of mSC-based cell therapy have heightened interest in the therapeutic use of mSC-derived *** the other hand,mSC-derived exosomes and microvesicles possess the potential to have a significant impact on disease development,including *** can interact with tumor cells and promote mutual exchange and induction of cellular markers by exchanging ***,enzymes secreted into and activated within exosomes can result in tumor cells acquiring new *** a result,therapeutic applications of mSC-derived secretomes must be approached with extreme caution.

A Two-step Sequential Extraction for Analyzing Hardly Accessible Precious metals in Sulfide Ore-bearing Sedimentary Rocks

The work concentrates on extraction of precious metals (Au, Ag, Pd, Pt) and As, Sb, Cu, Pb, Zn, and Fe which are bound to sulfide-ore minerals in sedimentary rocks, using a two-step sequential extraction experiment with two chemical reagents (hydrogen peroxide and aqua regia) on three rock specimens from the black shale formation in Bakyrchik gold-sulfide deposit in North-East Kazakhstan. The experiment allows to determine the speciation of hardly accessible precious metals and to identify the most productive ore-forming stage from the three identified ones. Analytical methods are used for determining polysulfide mineral textures (optical microscopy), mineralogical (XRPD) and chemical compositions (XRF), and for measuring extracted metals concentrations (ICP-OES) in experimental procedures. The analytical results show that the first stage is more productive in gold (total extraction 2.8 ppm) than others and the second stage is more productive in Ag (total 1.6 ppm) and Pd (total 0.01 ppm), while the last stage is more productive in Pt (0.019 ppm) in the deposit.

Regulatory T cells(T regs) are key elements in immunological *** number of T regs may alter in both peripheral blood and in colonic mucosa during pathological *** local cellular,microbiological and cytokine milieu affect immunophenotype and function of T *** box P3+ T regs function shows altered properties in inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs).This alteration of T regs function can furthermore be observed between Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis,which may have both clinical and therapeutical *** mucosal inflammation may also influence T regs function,which together with the intestinal bacterial flora seem to have a supporting role in colitis-associated colorectal carcinogenesis.T regs have a crucial role in the immunoevasion of cancer cells in sporadic colorectal ***,their number and phenotype correlate closely with the clinical outcome of the disease,even if their contribution to carcinogenesis has previously been *** knowledge of the clinical relationship between IBD and colitis-associated colon cancer,and the growing number of immunological aspects encompassing sporadic colorectal carcinogenesis,the molecular and cellular links amongst T regs,regulation of the inflammation,and cancer development are still not well *** this paper,we aimed to review the current data surrounding the role of T regs in the pathogenesis of IBD,colitis-associated colon cancer and sporadic colorectal cancer.
