Extend ethylene aromatization single-event kinetic modeling with physical and chemical descriptor based on ZSM-5 catalyst

The ethylene aromatization is critical for the methanol to aromatics and light alkane dehydroaromatization *** single-event microkinetic(SEMK)model combining the linear free energy theory and solid acid distribution concept were established and extend for the ethylene aromatization process,which can reduce the kinetic parameters and simplify the reaction network by comparison with the SEMK model including subtype elementary steps based on the type of carbenium *** introducing deactivation parametersφinto the model and applying the linear free energy model to the deactivation experimental data,the obtained deactivation parametersφindicate that the carbon deposition precursors have the greatest impact on reducing the reaction rate of single-molecular reactions and the smallest impact on the hydrogen transfer ***,according to the change of reaction enthalpy,effect of carbenium ion structure on methylation,ethylation,cyclization and endo-βscission was investigated by introducing linear free energy concept into the SEMK *** effect of different acid strengths on elementary steps was investigated based on the acid strength distribution model,it was found that the methylation and oligomerization reactions,the ali-βscission reaction,endo-βscission reaction and the cyclization reaction were more sensitive to strong acidity *** physisorption and chemisorption heat are separated from the protonation heat in the linear free energy kinetic model and the acid strength distribution kinetic model,and the absolute values of the obtained physisorption and chemisorption heat increase with the carbon number of carbenium ***,the parameters of the acid strength distribution kinetic model were applied to propane dehydroaromatization on H-ZSM-5 and the ethane dehydroaromatization on Zn/ZSM-5 to confirm the independence of parameters in the SEMK model with the similar reaction network.

Relationship between hydrogenation degree and pyrolysis performance of jet fuel

Understanding the relationship between the chemical composition and pyrolysis performance of endothermic hydrocarbon fuel(EHF) is of great significance for the design and optimization of advanced EHFs. In this work, the effect of deep hydrogenation on the pyrolysis of commercial RP-3 is *** with different hydrogenation degrees were obtained by the partially and completely catalytic hydrogenation and their pyrolysis performances were investigated using an apparatus equipped with an electrically heated tubular reactor. The results show that with the increase of hydrogenation degree, fuel conversion almost remains constant during the pyrolysis process(500-650°C, 4 MPa);however, the heat sink increases slightly, and the anti-coking performance significantly improves, which are highly related to their H/C ratios. Detailed characterisations reveal that the difference of the pyrolysis performance can be ascribed to the content of aromatics and cycloalkanes: the former are prone to initiate secondary reactions to form coking precursors, while the latter could act as the hydrogen donor and release hydrogen, which will terminate the radical propagation reactions and suppress the coke deposition. This work should provide the guidance for upgrading EHFs by modulating the composition of EHFs.

The secular variation of inner zone high energy proton environment in the SAA

A long-term variation of the inner zone high-energy proton environment at low orbits was investigated by DSTM using the adiabatic approximation of charge particle motion with NASA standard radiation models as reference states. The DST results show that over the past three decades the fluxes of high-energy protons at ～1000 km in the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) noticeably increased, the center region of proton SAA apparently moved westward and expanded. Calculations of the L-shell averaged lifetime of high-energy protons indicate that the DST pro-vides a reasonable means for estimation of the secular variation of inner zone proton environ-ment.

Strategy of Sb-substitution is carried out on the template structure Na4Sn0.67M0.33S4(M=Si,Ge),which affords a series of quinary sulfide-based sodium fast ionic conductors formulated as Na4-x[Sn0.67M0.33]1-xSbxS4(M=Si,x=0.1,0.2,0.3;M=Ge,x=0.2.).Among them,the highest ambient ionic conductivity(1.75×10^-4 S cm^-1)is achieved when M=Si and x=*** new fast ionic conductor Na3.8[Sn0.67Si0.33]0.8Sb0.2S4 is isostructural to its structure template Na4Sn0.67Si0.33S4 and thus crystallizes in the space group of I41/*** is shown that the incorporation of Sb improves the ionic *** study of lattice parameters shows that the improvement of the ion conductivity by Sbsubstitution is mainly due to the enlarged crystal ***,using Na3.8[Sn0.67Si0.33]0.8Sb0.2S4as solid electrolytes,room temperature all-solid-state sodium battery of Se0.05S0.95@pPAN/Na3Sn is realized,which proves the novel fast ionic conductor a potential candidate to apply in sodium solid state *** work not only extends the scope of Na4[Sn0.67Si0.33]S4,the I41/acd space group template,but also deepens the understanding of the lattice size effect on the structure and property relationship by aliovalent substitution.

Virus-encoded microRNAs (miRNAs) are a new kind of miRNAs that regulate the expression of target gene in host cells or viruses through inducing cleavage of mRNA, repressing translation, etc., and change the processes of host cells or replicate viruses to escape or resist immune surveillance of host and protect viruses themselves. It has become a hot topic to discover viral genes encoding miRNAs and their target genes, and to identify their functions. This review provides background information on the history of virally encoded miRNAs including their genomic distribution, functions and mechanisms. In addition, we discuss the similarities and differences between virus- and host-encoded miRNAs, the future directions of researches in viral miRNAs and their applications in diseases control and therapy.

A Unified Method Based on SPA and Timing Attacks on the Improved RSA

Nowadays the modular multiplications in many kinds of smartcards are utilized Montgomery's algorithm modular multiplier, so traditional SPA to RSA becomes invalid. An improved attack method is proposed based on SPA which just depends on the fact that there exist some subtle differences in each loop during the operation of cd mod n. At same time, compared with the traditional SPA, it doesn't need to select the clear text or some known message. Using this method, attacks can easy to discover the mode of RSA implementation and extract the bits of decryption key just based on a few collected traces. From the real attack test on several main kinds of smartcard, the private keys of RSA stored inside can be analyzed successfully.

Energy-resolved spin filtering effect and thermoelectric effect in topological-insulator junctions with anisotropic chiral edge states

Topological edge states have crucial applications in the future nano spintronics *** this work,circularly polarized light is applied on the zigzag silicene-like nanoribbons resulting in the anisotropic chiral edge *** energy-dependent spin filter is designed based on the topological-insulator(TI)junctions with anisotropic chiral edge *** resonance transmission has been observed in the TI junctions by calculating the local current *** some strong Fabry–Perot resonances are found leading to the sharp transmission ***,the weak and asymmetric resonance corresponds to the broad transmission *** addition,a qualitative relation between the resonant energy separation TR and group velocity vf is derived:TR=πhvf n/L,that indicated TR is proportional to vf and inversely proportional to the length L of the *** different TR between the spin-up and spin-down cases results in the energyresolved spin filtering ***,the intensity of the circularly polarized light can modulate the group velocity ***,the intensity of circularly polarized light,as well as the conductor-length,play very vital roles in designing the energy-dependent spin *** the transmission gap root in the Fabry–Perot resonances,the thermoelectric(TE)property can be enhanced by adjusting the gap.A schedule to enhance the TE performance in the TI-junction is proposed by modulating the electric field(Ez).The TE dependence on Ez in the nanojunction is investigated,where the appropriate Ez leads to a very high spin thermopower and spin figure of *** TI junctions have potential usages in the nano spintronics and thermoelectric devices.

Impacts of hydraulic redistribution on eco-hydrological cycles： A case study over the Amazon basin

Hydraulic redistribution(HR)refers to the process of soil water transport through the low-resistance pathway provided by plant *** has been observed in field studies and proposed to be one of the processes that enable plants to resist water ***,most land-surface models(LSMs)currently do not include this underground root *** this study,a HR scheme was incorporated into the Community Land Model version 4.5(CLM4.5)to investigate the effect of HR on the eco-hydrological *** paired numerical simulations(with and without the new HR scheme)were conducted for the Tapajos National Forest km83(BRSa3)site and the *** for the BRSa3 site in the Amazon showed that HR during the wet season was small,<0.1 mm day^(–1),transferring water from shallow wet layers to deep dry layers at night;however,HR in the dry season was more obvious,up to 0.3 mm day^(–1),transferring water from deep wet layers to shallow dry layers at *** incorporating HR into CLM4.5,the new model increased gross primary production(GPP)and evapotranspiration(ET)by 10%and 15%,respectively,at the BRSa3 site,partly overcoming the *** the Amazon,regional analysis also revealed that vegetation responses(including GPP and ET)to seasonal drought and the severe drought of 2005 were better captured with the HR scheme incorporated.
