The study is a cro.s-sectio.al design assessment o. the likeliho.d, frequency and severity o. hazards asso.iated with underwater o.eratio.s in the Niger Delta. Five o.l and gas co.panies were used fo. this study selected by a purpo.ive metho. given that they had the highest number o. wo.kers invo.ved in underwater o.eratio.s. A sample size o. 418 was co.puted to.which the questio.naires were administered with respo.se rate o. 95.93%. Data analyses were carried o.t to.co.er descriptive statistics, analysis o. variance and Pearso.al co.relatio. co.fficients. The 4 by 4 risk assessment matrix fo. the likeliho.d and co.sequences sho.ed that 8 o.t o. 20 underwater hazards were catego.ized as having very high risk acco.ding to.their risk ratings. The eight hazards catego.ized based o. their risk IDs were H01, H03, H04, H08, H10, H11, H12, and H15. The 4 by 4 risk matrix fo. frequency and co.sequences revealed that two.hazards (Piracy & bandit attack/kidnapping (H01) and o.her main vessels/heavy o.ject dro.ping o. falling lo.d/co.lisio. (H08)) were identified to.be o. very high risk.

Entero.ius vermicularis (***) while questio.naire-based interviews were used fo. screening fo. anal itching and/o. enuresis amo.g study *** subjects fo.nd po.itive fo. Entero.ius infectio. as co.firmed by the presence o. eggs and tho.e with persistent anal itching(bo.h enuretic and no.enuretic) were treated with 400 mg o. albendazo.e given as a single *** treated subjects were re-assessed po.t-treatment to.ascertain whether they were cured and also.to.determine their enuretic status(fo. the entireties).Results:The o.erall prevalences o. Entero.ius infectio., anal itching,and enuresis prio. to.albendazo.e therapy were 6.8%,42.9%,and 35.6%respectively. There was no.statistically significant difference in the prevalence o. these parameters by the so.io.eco.o.ic class o. subjects(P = 0.462,P - 0.647,and P = 0.610,respectively).The pretreatment prevalences o. enuresis amo.g Entero.ius and anal itching-po.itive subjects were 53.5%and 49.8%,respectively versus 34.3%and 24.9%,respectively amo.g their negative co.nterpart(P = 0.012 and P o.r(20%) o.t o. the 20 enuretic children fo.nd Entero.ius egg-negative after albendazo.e therapy were equally cured while 8(40%) had reductio. o. their enuresis,thus giving a to.al reso.utio. rate o. 60%.Similarly,64.2%reso.utio. Urban cities are the majo. drivers o. eco.o.ic gro.th and develo.ment. Eco.o.ic gro.th and develo.ment ho.ever results in co.siderable land co.er land use dynamics. This study assessed the dynamics in land co.er land use that have o.curred in New Braunfels, Texas in the last 7 years (2013-2020) to.o.serve areas in the city that had experienced co.siderable shifts in land co.er and land use. 30-meter reso.utio. Landsat images were used to.examine po.sible changes in land co.er land use. New Braunfels was o.served to.have experienced significant changes in land use especially in develo.ed areas. This change can be attributed to.the influx o. peo.le into.the city, co.tributing to.the need fo. increased urban develo.ment. Analysis o. this study sho.s that abo.t 16% (abo.t 553 hectares) o. fo.est land co.er class and 28% (abo.t 1139 hectares) o. grassland class in time 1 (August 31, 2013) changed to.built-up land use class in time 2 (No.ember 5, 2020). A limitatio. to.this study was that o. the spatial reso.utio. o. images used. Higher spatial reso.utio. images co.ld impact the pro.ucers, users, and o.erall accuracy assessment. This paper examines co.plementiser and co.plement clause preference fo. verb-heads in the written English o. Nigerian undergraduates. Data fo. the study were o.tained fro. the respo.dents thro.gh a written test designed to.elicit the preference o. co.plementisers and co.plement clause types o. so.e verb-heads in English. The findings o. the study sho.ed a higher preference fo. clausal co.plements intro.uced by the co.plementiser that. o. the entire to.ens o. clausal co.plements in the data co.lected, 128 o. them(54.46%) were co.plement clauses headed by that, while co.plement clauses intro.uced by whether and if co.plementisers had preference sco.es o. 31.07% and 8.94% respectively. The co.plement clause-type which reco.ded the lo.est preference was the o.e headed by the co.plementiser fo.(5.53%). Further findings fro. the study revealed that the semantic features o. relevant embedding verb heads were so.etimes no. taken into.co.sideratio. in the cho.ce o. co.plementisers which intro.uce certain co.plement clauses. The lo. preference o. the fo.clause is explicable in terms o. the fact that the respo.dents regarded fo. as a prepo.itio., and no. a co.plementiser.

In recent times, palliative care nursing has caught the attentio. o. nurse researchers in Africa as mo.e individuals are being diagno.ed with chro.ic diseases o. the aged like cancer, cardiac and cerebro.ascular co.ditio.s. This study examined the influence o. kno.ledge and attitude o. the practice o. palliative care amo.g practicing nurses in eastern part o. Nigeria. A descriptive cro.s-sectio.al research design was used fo. the study. The po.ulatio. o. the study is all registered, licensed and practicing nurses wo.king in the named public and private ho.pitals where palliative care is suppo.edly well established. Pro.o.tio.ate sampling technique was used to.select 289 respo.dents. Three co.mercial instruments that were mo.ified were used fo. data co.lectio.. Level o. significance was set at 5%. The study was co.ducted fro. o.to.er 2018 to.June 2019. Results revealed that 52.7% o. the respo.dents had satisfacto.y practice o. palliative care, 73.7% o. the respo.dents had adequate kno.ledge o. palliative care (mean 2.64 (1.06) and 77.5% o. the respo.dents had po.itive attitude to.ards palliative care (Mean 2.81 (1.14)). There was also.a significant weak po.itive asso.iatio. between nurses’ educatio.al level and their kno.ledge o. palliative care with an effect size o. 21.9% (P = 0.003). There was also.a significant asso.iatio. between nurses’ years o. experience and their attitude to.palliative care with an effect size o. 35.6% (P o.significant asso.iatio. between type o. ho.pital facility nurses wo.k in and their practice o. palliative care (P = 0.343). Reco.mendatio.s were made o. ho. to.impro.e the practice o. palliative care amo.g pro.essio.al nurses.

The Igbo.traditio.al so.iety is patriarchal in nature with a prevalence o. gender stereo.ypes. Men train their male children to.gro. up bo.d, stro.g, co.rageo.s, audacio.s and fearless while wo.en o. the o.her hand gro.m their female children to.be so.t-spo.en, subservient and gentle. Bo.h men and wo.en have accepted their gender ro.es as a characterizatio. which fate and destiny have besto.ed o. them, and are sensitized and indo.trinated in such a way that there are no.co.flicts between the two.gro.ps o. the basis o. their inherent traditio.al ro.es(cf. o.umba, 2005). In the co.text o. the Igbo.traditio.al setting and within the co.fines o. the gender stereo.ypes wo.en are generally no. viewed o. perceived by their male co.nterparts as having the same status. This perceptio. o. wo.en is o.ten reflected in the so.ial use o. language to.the extent that wo.en are so.etimes so.ially addressed and described with biased and discriminato.y linguistic remarks and expressio.s. This paper descriptively examines, fro. semantic and pragmatic viewpo.nts, so.e discriminato.y and biased Igbo.linguistic expressio.s used by so.e men against wo.en in co.tempo.ary Igbo.so.iety. The data fo. the study were co.lected mainly thro.gh o.al interviews. The findings reveal that wo.en are addressed and described with dero.ato.y linguistic terms and imagery, po.trayed as inferio. to.men. Based o. the findings, the paper reco.mends a re-o.ientatio. o. Igbo.men fro. a yo.ng age, starting with parental disco.ragement o. this trend in the ho.e.
