Determination of Fe and Zn contents and distributions in natural sphalerite/marmatite by various analysis methods

The contents of Fe and Zn in natural sphalerite samples were determined by chemical titration and spectroscopic techniques(portable X-ray fluorescence(P-XRF) spectrometry, electron probe microanalysis with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EPMA-EDS), electron probe microanalysis with wavelength dispersive spectroscopy(EPMA-WDS), and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(To F-SIMS)). Besides, the distribution of Fe and Zn in sphalerite samples was analyzed by imaging EPMA-WDS and imaging To F-SIMS. The results show that Fe and Zn contents determined by each spectroscopic technique have good linearity with those determined by chemical titration(R^2>0.77), and the R^2 values of Fe are generally greater than those of Zn. The imaging analysis results revealed that Fe and Zn are not uniformly distributed in the sphalerite.

Protein Profile of Human Lung Squamous Carcinoma Cell Line NCI-H226

Objective To construct a database of human lung squamous carcinoma cell line NCI-H226 and to facilitate discovery of novel subtypes markers of lung cancer. Method Proteomic technique was used to analyze human lung squamous carcinoma cell line NCI-H226. The proteins of the NCI-H226 cells were separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and identified by mass spectrometry. Results The results showed that a good reproducibility of the 2-D gel pattern was attained. The position deviation of matched spots among three 2-D gels was 1.95±0.53 mm in the isoelectric focusing direction, and 1.73±0.45 mm in the sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis direction. One hundred and twenty-seven proteins, including enzymes, signal transduction proteins, structure proteins, transport proteins, etc. were characterized, of which, 29 identified proteins in NCI-H226 cells were reported for the first time to be involved in lung cancer carcinogenesis. Conclusion The information obtained from this study could provide some valuable clues for further study on the carcinogenetic mechanism of different types of lung cancer, and may help us to discover some potential subtype-specific biomarkers of lung cancer.

Adsorption of octanohydroxamic acid at fluorite surface in presence of calcite species

The surface properties of fluorite are often affected by dissolved gangue species(e.g.,calcite)during the flotation *** testing with and without the addition of calcite supernatant was conducted using octanohydroxamic acid(OHA)as the *** results revealed that dissolved calcite species significantly affected the flotation behavior of *** transform infrared spectra confirmed that the decrease in flotation recovery was linked to lower OHA *** chemistry analysis indicated that CaCO_(3) and Ca^(2+)from the calcite supernatant were the most favorably adsorbed species,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis confirmed the surface adsorption of calcite *** functional theory simulations provided a detailed analysis of the multidentate adsorption configuration of OHA,which was the most favorable for adsorption on the fluorite *** adsorption energy calculation showed that the calcite dissolved species were more stably adsorbed on the fluorite surface than *** pre-adsorption of calcite dissolved species hindered the adsorption of OHA due to electrostatic repulsion.

Modeling tactile perceived intensity for vibration from a coin eccentric rotating mass motor

Establishing the relationship between vibrotactile parameters and perceived intensity（PI） is of great significance in the regulation of desired sensations, which contribute to haptic interfaces in practical applications. Coin eccentric rotating mass（ERM） motors are routinely utilized due to their lightweight design and efficient ability to evoke strong tactile sensations. By adjusting input voltages, ERMs can yield different stimuli, but the effects of their physical properties on PI remain ***, we developed the physical model of the ERM-skin system and optimized the parameters affecting PI. Moreover, the relationship between stimulus and perception was derived based on Fechner?s law. Three experiments were conducted on fifteen subjects（ten males and five females, aged 24.40 ± 2.87 years） to identify the vibration parameters and corresponding PI to verify the proposed PI model. ERMs in this study were attached to phantom skin/forearm with slim adhesive tape to minimize the interference. Experiment 1 performed vibration calibration with ERM attached to the skin phantom to simulate the actual configuration. Then, the relative and absolute PI of subjects on specific stimuli were acquired in Experiments 2 and *** fitting reliability of the proposed PI model was evaluated on fifteen subjects with R2of 0.73 ± 0.07 and root mean squared error（RMSE） of 1.35 ± 0.28. Overall, the proposed PI model established the quantitative relationship between stimulus parameters（vibration parameters and physical parameters） and subjective PI, which provided theoretical support for ERM optimization and vibrotactile modulation.

AZD1775 synergizes with SLC7A11 inhibition to promote ferroptosis

Tumor suppressor p53-mediated cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair may exert cytoprotective effects against cancer therapies, including WEE1 inhibition. Considering that p53 activation can also lead to multiple types of cell death, the role of this tumor suppressor in WEE1 inhibitor-based therapies remains disputed. In this study, we reported that nucleolar stress-mediated p53 activation enhanced the WEE1 inhibitor AZD1775-induced ferroptosis to suppress lung cancer growth. Our findings showed that AZD1775 promoted ferroptosis by blocking cystine uptake, an action similar to that of Erastin. Meanwhile, inhibition of WEE1 by the WEE1 inhibitors or si RNAs induced compensatory upregulation of SLC7A11, which conferred resistance to ferroptosis. Mechanistically, AZD1775 prevented the enrichment of H3K9me3, a histone marker of transcriptional repression, on the SLC7A11 promoter by repressing the expression of the histone methyltransferase SETDB1, thereby enhancing NRF2-mediated SLC7A11 transcription. This finding was also validated using the H3K9me3 inhibitor BRD4770. Remarkably, we found that the nucleolar stress-inducing agent Actinomycin D(Act. D) inhibited SLC7A11 expression by activating p53, thus augmenting AZD1775-induced ferroptosis. Moreover, the combination of AZD1775 and Act. D synergistically suppressed wild-type p53-harboring lung cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo. Altogether, our study demonstrates that AZD1775 promotes ferroptosis by targeting cystine uptake but also mediates the adaptive activation of SLC7A11 through the WEE1-SETDB1 cascade and NRF2-induced transcription, and inhibition of SLC7A11 by Act. D boosts the anti-tumor efficacy of AZD1775 by enhancing ferroptosis in cancers with wild-type p53.

对川芎菌核病菌的生物学特性进行了初步研究，结果表明：川芎菌核病菌在PSA和麦麸培养基上生长最好，在麦麸培养基上产菌核数量最多；菌落生长最适温度25℃，最适pH7～8。菌丝能对各种形式的碳氮源加以利用，最适碳源为蔗糖，氮源为硝酸钠，胰蛋白胨产菌核最好，光照对菌丝生长影响较小。子囊孢子的萌发适温10～30℃、pH7，菌核和子囊孢子的致死温度分别为70℃和50℃。不同地理来源的菌核萌发产盘率受到温度及覆土深度的影响。菌核和子囊孢子的致死温度分别为70℃和50℃。

BACKGROUND Blonanserin(BNS)is a well-tolerated and effective drug for treating *** To investigate which types of patients would obtain the most benefit from BNS *** A total of 3306 participants were evaluated in a 12-week,prospective,multicenter,open-label post-marketing surveillance study of *** psychiatric rating scale(BPRS)scores were calculated to evaluate the effectiveness of BNS,and its safety was assessed with the incidence of adverse drug *** regression was used to screen the influencing factors for the reduction of BPRS total score,and logistic regression was used to identify patients with a better response to *** The baseline BPRS total score(48.8±15.03)decreased to 27.7±10.08 at 12 weeks(P<0.001).Extrapyramidal symptoms(14.6%)were found to be the most frequent adverse drug *** acute phase,baseline BPRS total score,current episode duration,number of previous episodes,dose of concomitant antipsychotics,and number of types of sedative-hypnotic agents were found to be independent factors affecting the reduction of BPRS total score after treatment ***,patients in the acute phase with baseline BPRS total score≥45,current episode duration<3 months,and≤3 previous episodes derived greater benefit from 12-week treatment with *** Patients in the acute phase with more severe symptoms,shorter current episode duration,fewer previous episodes,and a lower psychotropic drug load derived the greatest benefit from treatment with BNS.
