With the increasing demand for beauty and health,clear aligners(CAs)have been widely applied among patients with ***,patients treated with CAs also face some potential complications,such as demineralization,dental caries,and periodontal *** addition,some patients have additional needs to improve their quality of life,such as bleaching *** order to prevent or solve these problems,the modification of CAs is a promising method because their extensive long-term contact with tooth surfaces makes them ideal devices for implementing adjuvant medical *** this review,we discuss various advanced CAs with medical functions based on the clinical needs of *** far as we know,the additional functions of CAs mainly include antibacterial,remineralization,whitening,and accelerating tooth *** functions are achieved by two major pathways,the combination of CAs with drugs/biomaterials and increasing the capacity or affinity of *** addition,we discuss the current limitations of in vitro experiments which are designed to explore the effectiveness and properties of novel CAs,and the challenges of bringing a multifunctional appliance from proposal to clinical *** the end of this review,we provide insights into the broader prospects for the improvement of CAs.

As a type of new carbon-based nanomaterials,carbon dots(CDs)possess exceptional optical properties,making them highly desirable for use in fluorescent ***,the CDs with deep-red(DR)or near-infrared(NIR)emission have rarely been *** this work,we prepared deep-red emissive fluorine-doped carbon quantum dots(F-CDs)by introducing a precursor simultaneously containing fluorine and *** synergistic effect of nitrogen doping and D-π-A pattern production contributed to the maximum emission of F-CDs at 636 nm with an absolute quantum yield of 36.00%±0.68%.Moreover,we designed an F-CDs-based fluorescence assay to determine the content of hypochlorite(ClO^(-)),with a limit of detection(LOD)as low as 15.4 nmol/L,indicating the high sensitivity of F-CDs to ClO^(-).In real samples,the F-CDs-based fluorescent sensor exhibited excellent sensitivity and selectivity in the detection of ClO^(-),with an error below 2%,suggesting their great potential in daily *** cancer cell imaging,the F-CDs not only demonstrated high sensitivity to ClO^(-)but also exhibited excellent mitochondria targeting,as evidenced by the high Pearson's correlation coefficient(PCC)of 0.93 in colocalization *** work presented here suggests the great potential of replacing commercial dyes with F-CDs for highly specific mitochondria labeling and cell imaging.

The recurrence of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)after surgical resection continues to pose a major challenge to cancer *** HNSCC exhibits a low response rate to immune checkpoint blockade(ICB),while photothermal therapy(PTT)can increase the infiltration of immune cells to make tumors more susceptible to cancer *** this regard,we designed and constructed a novel multifunctional nanocomposite comprised of oxidized bacterial cellulose(OBC),thrombin(TB),and gold nanocages(AuNCs)containing anti-programmed death 1(PD-1)antibody(αPD-1@AuNCs),which allows the combination of therapies with remarkable postoperative antitumor immunity to control local tumor ***αPD-1@AuNCs displayed high light-to-heat conversion efficiency and induced pyroptosis under near infrared(NIR)irradiation,which activated a potent antitumor immune *** importantly,the therapeutic system could induce tumor pyroptosis and enhance antitumor immune response by increasing T-cell infiltration and reducing the immune suppressive cells,when combined with local ICB therapy,which effectively avoided the tumor recurrence in a HNSCC postoperative mice ***,the newly developed multifunctional nanocomposites could be a promising candidate for the treatment of postoperative HNSCC.

We explore the end point of the helical instability in a finite density, finite magnetic field background discussed by Kharzeev and Yee. The nonlinear solution is obtained and identified with the （magnetized） chiral density wave phase in the literature. We find there are two branches of solutions, which match the two unstable modes found before. At large chemical potential and magnetic field, the magnetized chiral density wave can be thermodynamically preferred over the chirally symmetric phase and chiral symmetry breaking phase. Interestingly, we find an exotic state with vanishing chemical potential at large magnetic field. We also attempt to clarify the role of anomalous charge in the holographic model.

Implementation of an opposing jet in design of a hypersonic blunt body significantly modifies the external flowfield and yields a considerable reduction in the aerodynamic *** study aims to investigate the effects of flowfield modeling parameters of injection and freestream on the flow structure and aerodynamics of a blunt body with an opposing jet in hypersonic ***-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)equations with a Shear Stress Transport(SST)turbulence model are employed to simulate the intricate jet flow *** utilizing a Non-Intrusive Polynomial Chaos(NIPC)method to construct surrogates,a functional relation is established between input modeling parameters and output flowfield and aerodynamic quantities in *** indices in sensitivity analysis are introduced to represent the relative contribution of each *** is found that variations in modeling parameters produce large variations in the flow structure and *** jet-to-freestream total-pressure ratio,jet Mach number,and freestream Mach number are the major contributors to variation in surface pressure,demonstrating an evident location-dependent *** penetration length of injection,reattachment angle of the shear layer,and aerodynamic drag are also most sensitive to the three crucial parameters *** comparison,the contributions of freestream temperature,freestream density,and jet total temperature are nearly negligible.

Photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting is considered as an ideal technology to produce *** carrier migration is one of the most important roles in the whole process of PEC water *** includes bulk transfer inside of the photoelectrode and the exchange at the solid-liquid *** energy barriers during the migration process lead to the dramatic recombination of photogenerated hot carrier and the reducing of their redox ***,an applied bias voltage should be provided to overcome these energy barriers,which brings the additional loss of *** researches indicate that some methods for the regulation of photogenerated hot carrier,such as p-n junction,unique transfer nanochannel,tandem nanostructure and Z-Scheme transfer structure et al.,show great potential to achieve high-efficient PEC water overall splitting without any applied bias *** to now,many reviews have summarized and analyzed the methods to enhance the PEC or photocatalysis water splitting from the perspectives of materials,nanostructures and surface modification ***,few of them focus on the topic of photogenerated carrier transfer regulation,which is an important and urgent developing *** this reason,this review focuses on the regulation of photogenerated carriers generated by the photoelectrodes and summarizes different advanced methods for photogenerated carrier regulation developed in recent *** comments and outlooks are also provided at the end of this review.

The major cytotoxic agent with most current photosensitizers used in photodynamic therapy(PDT)is widely believed to be singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)).Determination of the ^(1)O_(2) quantum yields for porphyrin-based photosensitizers,including hematoporphyrin derivative(HiPorfin),hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether(HMME)and photocarcinorin(PsD-007)in air-saturated dimethylformamide(DMF)solutions were performed by the direct measurement of their near-infrared *** addition,^(1)O_(2) quencher sodium azide was employed to confirm the ^(1)O_(2) generation from the investigated *** maximal ^(1)O_(2) luminescence occurs at about 1280 nm with full width at half maximum of 30 *** ^(1)O_(2) quantum yields were found to be 0.61±0.03,0.60±0.02 and 0.59±0.03 for HiPorfin,HMME and PsD-007,*** results provide that these porphyrin-based photosensitizers produce ^(1)O_(2) under irradiation,which is of significance for the study of their photodynamic action in PDT.

In aircraft assembly, interlayer burr formation in dry drilling of stacked metal materials is a common problem. Traditional manual deburring operation seriously affects the assembly qual- ity and assembly efficiency, is time-consuming and costly, and is not conducive to aircraft automatic assembly based on industrial robot. In this paper, the formation of drilling exit burr and the influ- ence of interlayer gap on interlayer burr formation were studied, and the mechanism of interlayer gap formation in drilling stacked aluminum alloy plates was investigated, a simplified mathematical model of interlayer gap based on the theory of plates and shells and finite element method was established. The relationship between interlayer gap and interlayer burr, as well as the effect of feed rate and pressing force on interlayer burr height and interlayer gap was discussed. The result shows that theoretical interlayer gap has a positive correlation with interlayer burr height and preloading nressing force is an effective method to control interlaver burr formation.
