Background:Wernicke encephalopathy(WE)is an acute neurological disease resulting from vitamin B1 deficiency,and there are only very few case reports of WE after liver *** present study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics,etiology,magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)features,treatment and prognosis of patients with WE after liver ***:Twenty-three patients with WE after liver transplantation from the First Affiliated Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Jiangxi Provincial People’s Hospital between January 2011 and December 2021 were retrospectively ***:Among the 23 patients diagnosed with WE after liver transplantation,6(26%)had a classic triad of impaired consciousness,oculomotor palsy and ataxia,and 17(74%)had two *** misdiagno-sis rate was 65%.After treatment with high-dose vitamin B1,19(83%)patients showed improvement,whereas 4(17%)showed no improvement,including 3 with residual short-term memory impairments and 1 with residual spatial and temporal disorientation and ***:The misdiagnosis rate is high in the early stage of WE,and the prognosis is closely asso-ciated with whether WE is diagnosed early and treated ***-dose glucose or glucocorticoids can trigger WE and cannot be administered before vitamin B1 *** B1 is suggested to be used as a prophylactic treatment for patients with WE after liver transplantation.

Rationally constructing metallic Sn-ZnO heterostructure via in-situ Mn doping for high-rate Na-ion batteries

Developing a heterostructure for alloying-based anode for sodium-ion batteries（SIBs） is an efficient solution to accommodate volume change upon sodiation/desodiation and boost sodium storage since it combines the merits of each component. Herein, we report a metallic and microphone-like Sn-Zn0.9Mn0.1O heterostructure via an in-situ Mn doping strategy. Based on theoretical calculations and experimental results, the introduction of Mn into Zn O（a small amount of Mn also diffuses into the Sn lattice） can not only enhance intrinsic electronic conductivity but also reduce the Na+diffusion barrier inside the Sn phase. When evaluated as anode for SIBs, the obtained heterostructures show a high reversible capacity of 395.1 mAh/g at 0.1 A/g, rate capability of 332 mAh/g at 5 A/g, and capacity retention of almost 100%after 850 cycles at 5 A/g, indicating its great potential for high-power application of SIBs.

Online Fault-Tolerant Tracking Control With Adaptive Critic for Nonaffine Nonlinear Systems

In this paper, a fault-tolerant-based online critic learning algorithm is developed to solve the optimal tracking control issue for nonaffine nonlinear systems with actuator ***, a novel augmented plant is constructed by fusing the system state and the reference trajectory, which aims to transform the optimal fault-tolerant tracking control design with actuator faults into the optimal regulation problem of the conventional nonlinear error system. Subsequently, in order to ensure the normal execution of the online learning algorithm, a stability criterion condition is created to obtain an initial admissible tracking policy. Then, the constructed model neural network(NN) is pretrained to recognize the system dynamics and calculate trajectory control. The critic and action NNs are constructed to output the approximate cost function and approximate tracking control,respectively. The Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation of the error system is solved online through the action-critic framework. In theoretical analysis, it is proved that all concerned signals are uniformly ultimately bounded according to the Lyapunov *** tracking control law can approach the optimal tracking control within a finite approximation error. Finally, two experimental examples are conducted to indicate the effectiveness and superiority of the developed fault-tolerant tracking control scheme.

Controlled cationic ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide by organic ion pair:novel approach to isotactic-rich and crystalline polylactide

living/controlled cationic ring-opening polymerization(ROP)of L-lactide is a promising approach to isotactic-rich and crystalline poly(L-lactide).In contrast with the unsubstituted lactones,L-LA can not be polymerized by organic Lewis acids or carbenium ions,and the state of the art in this field is the cationic ROP of L-LA catalyzed by BrФnsted acid/alcohol system via activated monomer ***,we reported the first example of controlled cationic ROP of L-LA by using Meerweintype ion pair[Me_(3)O]^(+)[B(C_(6)F_(5))_(4)]^(-)as the catalyst.[Me_(3)O]^(+)[B(C_(6)F_(5))_(4)]^(-)promoted rapid L-LA cationic polymerization in the absence of alcohol,producing isotactic-rich and crystalline PLLA without transesterification and epimerization side *** activated chain end mechanism,involving twice S_(N)2 substitution and configuration-inversion(S→R→S)with the assistance of released Me_(2)O,was proposed and further verified by density functional theory and control *** work expands the catalytic toolbox of isotactic-rich and crystalline polylactide *** represents a unique example of cationic-controlled polymerization of L-LA catalyzed by an organic ion pair.

Deciphering the role of mtH_(2)O_(2) in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury mechanisms with low-background super-resolution fluorogenic probe

Proton transport in unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3-α) for easily prepared electrochemical devices

BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αceramics exhibit superior conductivity among related ***,the hightemperature sintering makes it difficult to prepare electrochemical devices with a BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αmultilayer film,and very few studies have examined the conductivity and transport properties of unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-α.In nominally dry conditions,the instability of this material in a watercontaining atmosphere can be minimized,allowing the unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αto be applied in some particular test environment as a component of electrochemical ***,the conductivity of unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αin dry conditions was measured via AC impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range of 500-800℃.The unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αexhibits high conductivity and hydration ability,as well as low proton activation *** addition,it shows high oxygen vacancy and low proton transport numbers at high temperature,limited by its grain *** work provides insights into the conductivity and proton transport of unsintered BaCe_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)-αand demonstrates its potential as a proton-conducting electrolyte.

Barrierless reactions of C2 Criegee intermediates with H_(2)SO_(4)and their implication to oligomers and new particle formation

The formation of oligomeric hydrogen peroxide triggered by Criegee intermediate maybe contributes significantly to the formation and growth of secondary organic aerosol(SOA).However,to date,the reactivity of C2 Criegee intermediates(CH_(3)CHOO)in areas contaminated with acidic gas remains poorly ***,high-level quantum chemical calculations and Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics(BOMD)simulations are used to explore the reaction of CH_(3)CHOO and H_(2)SO_(4)both in the gas phase and at the airwater *** the gas phase,the addition reaction of CH_(3)CHOO with H_(2)SO_(4)to generate CH_(3)HC(OOH)OSO_(3)H(HPES)is near-barrierless,regardless of the presence of water *** simulations showthat the reaction at the air-water interface is even faster than that in the gas *** calculations reveal that the HPES has a tendency to aggregate with sulfuric acids,ammonias,and water molecules to form stable clusters,meanwhile the oligomerization reaction of CH_(3)CHOO with HPES in the gas phase is both thermochemically and kinetically ***,it is noted that the interfacial HPES−ion can attract H_(2)SO_(4),NH_(3),(COOH)_(2)and HNO_(3)for particle formation from the gas phase to the water ***,the results of this work not only elucidate the high atmospheric reactivity of C2 Criegee intermediates in polluted regions,but also deepen our understanding of the formation process of atmospheric SOA induced by Criegee intermediates.

The paper presents experimental investigation results of crack pattern change in cement pastes caused by external sulfate attack(ESA).To visualize the formation and development of cracks in cement pastes under ESA,an X-ray computed tomography(X-ray CT)was used,i e,the tomography system of Zeiss Xradia 510 *** results indicate that X-CT can monitor the development process and distribution characteristics of the internal cracks of cement pastes under ESA with attack *** addition,the C3A content in the cement significantly affects the damage mode of cement paste specimens during sulfate *** damage of ordinary Portland cement(OPC)pastes subjected to sulfate attack with high C3A content are severe,while the damage of sulfate resistant Portland cement(SRPC)pastes is much smaller than that of OPC ***,a quadratic function describes the correlation between the crack volume fraction and development depth for two cement pastes immermed in sulfate solution.

An Objective Synoptic Analysis Technique for the Identification of Tropical Cyclone Remote Precipitation in China and Its Application

At present,the identification of tropical cyclone remote precipitation(TRP)requires subjective participation,leading to inconsistent results among different researchers despite adopting the same identification ***,establishing an objective identification method is greatly *** this study,an objective synoptic analysis technique for TRP(OSAT_TRP)is proposed to identify TRP using daily precipitation datasets,historical tropical cyclone(TC)track data,and the ERA5 reanalysis *** method includes three steps:first,independent rain belts are separated,and those that might relate to TCs'remote effects are distinguished according to their distance from the ***,the strong water vapor transport belt from the TC is identified using integrated horizontal water vapor transport(IVT).Third,TRP is distinguished by connecting the first two *** TRP obtained through this method can satisfy three criteria,as follows:1)the precipitation occurs outside the circulation of TCs,2)the precipitation is affected by TCs,and 3)a gap exists between the TRP and TC rain *** diagnosis analysis,compared with subjective TRP results and backward trajectory analyses using HYSPliT,indicates that OSAT_TRP can distinguish TRP even when multiple TCs in the Northwest Pacific are ***,we applied the OSAT_TRP to select typical TRPs and obtained the synoptic-scale environments of the TRP through composite analysis.
