Dear Editor, Male reproductive development is an essential biological process for flowering plants and crucial for crop seed produc- tion. Formation of the male reproductive organ, the anther, involves a number of developmental events, including sta- men meristem specification, generation of sporogenous cells and their differentiation into microspore mother cells （MMCs）, meiosis, microspore （pollen） maturation, and polli- nation （Ma, 2005）. The formation of microspores and their development into mature pollen grains require cooperative interactions between gametophytic （microspores） and sporo- phytic （anther wall） cells, with the innermost cell layer, the tapetum, playing the most crucial role （Ma, 2005）. The crystallographic and magnetic properties are presented for van der Waals antiferromagnetic FePS_3. High-quality single crystals of millimeter size have been successfully synthesized through the chemical vapor transport method. The layered structure and cleavability of the compound are apparent, which are beneficial for a potential exploration of the interesting low dimensional magnetism, as well as for incorporation of FePS_3 into van der Waals heterostructures. For the sake of completeness, we have measured both direct current(dc) and alternating current(ac) magnetic *** paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic transition occurs at approximately T_N 115 K. The effective moment is larger than the spin-only effective moment, suggesting that an orbital contribution to the total angular momentum of the Fe^(2+) could be present. The ac susceptibility is independent of frequency, which means that the spin freezing effect is *** anisotropy of out-of-plane and in-plane susceptibility has been shown, demonstrating the Ising-type magnetic order in FePS_3 system.

This editorial discusses a recently published paper in the World Journal of *** research focuses on p53's regulatory mechanism for controlling ferroptosis,as well as the intricate connection between ferroptosis and liver *** is a specific form of programmed cell death that is dependent on iron and displays unique features in terms of morphology,biology,and genetics,distinguishing it from other forms of cell *** can affect the liver,which is a crucial organ responsible for iron storage and *** evidence indicates a robust correlation between ferroptosis and the advancement of liver disorders.P53 has a dual effect on ferroptosis through various distinct signaling ***,additional investigations are required to clarify the regulatory function of p53 metabolic targets in this complex association with *** the future,researchers should clarify the mechanisms by which ferroptosis and other forms of programmed cell death contribute to the progression of liver *** and controlling important regulatory factors associated with ferroptosis present a promising therapeutic strategy for liver disorders.

Objective： Atherosclerotic plaques and neovascularization play an important role in the course of coronary atherosclerosis. This study evaluated the effect of recombinant endostatin on experimental atherosclerotic plaques and neovasculanzation in rabbits. Methods： Eighteen healthy male rabbits were divided into three groups： control group, atherosclerotic model group, and recombinant endostatin treated group. The atherosclerotic model was es- tablished via a high-cholesterol diet after balloon catheter injury. The subject weights, serum total cholesterol, creatine kinase-myocardial band fraction （CKMB）, and matrix metalloproteinase-2 （MMP-2） were measured. Six weeks after treatment, the aortic roots were taken for pathological assay. The thickness ratio of the intima to media was measured by hematoxylin and eosin （HE） staining, and the number of neovessels was measured by immunohistochemistry via monoclonal antibody CD31 staining. Results： The weight, plasma total cholesterol, and CKMB were not significantly different between the atherosclerotic model group and the recombinant endostatin treated group, but much higher than those of the control group （P〈0.05）. The thickness ratio of the intima to media in the recombinant endostatin treated group was distinctly less than that in the atherosclerotic model group （P〈0.05）. The number of neovessels decreased dramatically （P〈0.05） and the content of MMP-2 decreased slightly without statistical difference （P〉0.05） in the recombinant endostatin treated group, compared to the atherosclerotic model group. Conclusions： Recombinant en- dostatin is able to inhibit the growth of neovascularization in the atherosclerotic plaque and the development of plaque.

　　Both proteinogenic and non proteinogenic α-amino acids are of particular interest as constituents of peptide factors, peptidomimetics and antibiotics for the construction of modern selective drugs. [1] Furthemore, α-amino acid derivatives are interesting building units for chiral-pool syntheses of enantiomerically pure natural products. [2] Numerous efforts in modern organic synthesis are centered on the synthesis of enantiomerically pure α-amino acids. [3] During the past three decades efficient methods of asymmetric synthesis of α-amino acids have been developed; most of them are based on electrophilic transformations of organometallic intermediates. liver fibrosis is a wound-healing response following chronic liver injury caused by hepatitis virus infection,obesity,or excessive *** is a dynamic and reversible process characterized by the activation of hepatic stellate cells and excess accumulation of extracellular *** fibrosis could lead to cirrhosis and even liver cancer,which has become a significant health burden *** studies have revealed that noncoding RNAs(ncRNAs),including microRNAs,long noncoding RNAs and circular RNAs,are involved in the pathogenesis and development of liver fibrosis by regulating signaling pathways including transforming growth factor-βpathway,phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B pathway,and Wnt/β-catenin *** in serum or exosomes have been reported to tentatively applied in the diagnosis and staging of liver fibrosis and combined with elastography to improve the accuracy of *** mimics,ncRNAs in mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes,and lipid nanoparticles-encapsulated ncRNAs have become promising therapeutic approaches for the treatment of liver *** this review,we update the latest knowledge on ncRNAs in the pathogenesis and progression of liver fibrosis,and discuss the potentials and challenges to use these ncRNAs for diagnosis,staging and treatment of liver *** these will help us to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of ncRNAs in liver fibrosis.

Atom transfer radical polymerization （ATRP） of methyl methacrylate （MMA） employing ethyl 2-bromoisobutyrate （EBiB）/ CuBr as the initiating system was investigated at 50 ℃ in the absence of any additional ligand in the three room temperature ionic liquids （RTILs）, 1-methyl-imidazolium acetate （[mim][CH3COO]）, 1-methylimidazolium propionate （[mim][CH3CH2COO]） and 1-methylimidazolium butyrate （[mim][CH3CH2CH2COO]）, respectively. All the polymerization in the three RTILs proceeded in a well-controlled manner. The sequence of the apparent polymerization rate constants was kapp（[mim][CH3COO]）〉 kapp（[mim] [CH3CH2COO]）〉 kapp （[mim][CH3CH2CH2COO]）.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a major global health *** is no effective vaccine and the current treatment regimen with pegylated interferon α and ribavirin is associated with significant adverse ***,there is an urgent need to identify new antiviral targets for HCV *** recent years,a grow,ing number of microRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to be able to regulate HCV replication and infection by interacting with the HCV genome directly or by regulating host innate immunity to build a nonspecific antiviral state within *** this review,we discuss HCV virology and standard of care followed by miRNA in general,and then give a brief overview of miRNAs involved in HCV infection and discuss their potential application as a therapeutic option for the treatment of HCV infection.
