Calcium production and the stellar evolution of first-generation stars remain fascinating mysteries in *** one possible nucleosynthesis scenario,break-out from the hot carbon–nitrogen–oxygen(HCNO)cycle was thought to be the source of the calcium observed in these oldest ***,according to the stellar modeling,a nearly tenfold increase in the thermonuclear rate ratio of the break-out ^(19)F(p,γ)^(20) Ne reaction with respect to the competing ^(19)F(p,α)^(16) O back-processing reaction is required to reproduce the observed calcium *** performed a direct measurement of this break-out reaction at the china Jinping underground *** measurement was performed down to the low-energy limit of E_(c.m.)=186 keV in the center-of-mass *** key resonance was observed at 225.2 keV for the first *** a temperature of approximately 0.1 GK,this new resonance enhanced the thermonuclear ^(19)F(p,γ)^(20) Ne rate by up to a factor of≈7.4,compared with the previously recommended NACRE *** is of particular interest to the study of the evolution of the first stars and implies a stronger breakdown in their“warm”CNO cycle through the ^(19)F(p,γ)^(20) Ne reaction than previously *** break-out resulted in the production of the calcium observed in the oldest stars,enhancing our understanding of the evolution of the first stars.

Background:Buyang Huanwu decoction(BHD)is a traditional Chinese medicine herbal formula used for treating hypertension,particularly in the later stages of hypertension when it is associated with intracerebral *** study aims to investigate the treatment mechanism of BHD to provide a basis for its clinical application in hypertension ***:Network pharmacology analysis and cell culture experiments were performed to explore the potential proteins and mechanisms of action of BHD against *** compounds related to BHD were screened,and relevant targets associated with hypertension and BHD were *** docking technology was used to identify the effective signaling pathway based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and protein-protein interaction network ***,the effects and mechanisms of BHD on salt-sensitive hypertensive endothelial cells were ***:Ninety-three potential therapeutic targets for BHD and salt-sensitive hypertension were found to be closely associated with the PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathway and oxidative *** experiments further indicated the pivotal role of endothelial cells in hypertension,and validation analysis showed that BHD significantly preserved cell morphology,suppressed oxidative stress reactions,activated the PI3K/Akt/eNOS signaling pathways,preserved normal endothelial cell function,and reduced cell ***:BHD effectively activates the PI3K/Akt/VEGF signaling pathway,attenuates oxidative stress-induced injury in endothelial cells exposed to high salt levels,and mitigates apoptosis,supporting the use of traditional Chinese medicine BHD in the treatment of salt-sensitive hypertension.

liquid crystals （LCs） and polymers are extensively used in various electro-optical applications. In this paper, normal mode polymer stabilized cholesteric LC film is prepared and studied. The effects of chiral dopant and monomer concentrations on the electro-optical properties, such as contrast ratio, driving voltage, hysteresis width and response time, are investigated. The reasons of electro-optical properties influenced by the concentrations of the materials are discussed. Through the proper material recipe, the electro-optical properties of polymer stabilized cholesteric LC film can be optimized.

BACKGROUND:Soft pancreatic texture and a small main pancreatic duct are thought to be the most significant risk factors for the occurrence of pancreatic fistula (PF),a common and serious complication after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD).This is in part due to the technical difficulties of pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ) posed by a soft gland with a normal-sized *** deal with this problem,we developed a new anastomotic technique which combines the two most widely used techniques,namely,the invagination technique and the duct-to-mucosa technique,with a modification of the suture route and insertion of a temporary stent ***:Between January 2003 and December 2009,ninetytwo consecutive patients underwent PD in which the new PJ technique was *** and follow-up data of these patients were reviewed for operative details,early postoperative events,and outcomes at 6 months after the *** was defined by the International Study Group on Pancreatic Fistula (ISGPF) guidelines and graded (A,B or C) according to the clinical procedures and ***:In this group of 92 patients,there was only 1 early death from acute renal *** was observed in 11 patients (12.0%),8 in grade A,1 in grade B,and 2 in grade *** the 2 patients in grade C,PF was surgically *** were no early or late deaths attributable to *** months after the operation,all of the patients were free of PJ-related symptoms except for 2,who were found to have ***:Our modified technique is simple and safe in *** data suggest that this technique produces excellent early and medium-term results.

分别以硅二氧化硅和锗 -二氧化硅复合靶作为溅射靶 ,采用磁控溅射技术在p型硅衬底上淀积了含纳米硅的氧化硅薄膜和含纳米锗的氧化硅薄膜 .各样品分别在氮气氛中经过 30 0至 110 0℃不同温度的退火处理 .使用高分辨透射电子显微镜可以观察到经 90 0和 110 0℃退火的含纳米硅的氧化硅薄膜中的纳米硅粒 ,和经 90 0和 110 0℃退火的含纳米锗的氧化硅薄膜中的纳米锗粒 .经过不同温度退火处理的含纳米硅的氧化硅和含纳米锗的氧化硅薄膜的光致发光谱均具有相似的峰型 ,且它们的发光峰位均位于 5 80nm(2 .1eV)附近 .可以认为含纳米硅的氧化硅和含纳米锗的氧化硅薄膜的光发射主要来自于SiO2 层中发光中心上的复合发光。

Although it is believed that glioma is derived from brain tumor stem cells, the source and molecular signal pathways of these cells are still unclear. In this study, we used stable doxycycline-inducible transgenic mouse brain tumor models （c-myc/SV40Tag＋/Tet-on＋） to explore the malignant trans- formation potential of neural stem cells by observing the differences of neural stem cells and brain tumor stem cells in the tumor models. Results showed that chromosome instability occurred in brain tumor stem cells. The numbers of cytolysosomes and autophagosomes in brain tumor stem cells and induced neural stem cells were lower and the proliferative activity was obviously stronger than that in normal neural stem cells. normal neural stem cells could differentiate into glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive and microtubule associated protein-2-positive cells, which were also negative for nestin. However, glial fibrillary acidic protein/nestin, microtubule associated protein-2/nestin, and glial fibrillary acidic protein/microtubule associated protein-2 double-positive cells were found in induced neural stem cells and brain tumor stem cells. Results indicate that induced neural stem cells are similar to brain tumor stem cells, and are possibly the source of brain tumor stem cells.

AIM. To investigate the influence of HLA-DRB1 alleles and HBV genotypes on inberferon-α therapy for chronic hepatitis B. METHODS： HLA-DRBI＊03, ＊07, ＊09,＊12, ＊15 alleles were determined using polymerase chain reaction/sequence specific primer （PCR/SSP） technique in 126 patients with chronic hepatitis B and 76 normal control subjects in Shandong Province, and HBV genotypes were determined by nested-PCR analysis using type-specific primers in 126 patients. RESULTS： The positivity of HLA-DRB1＊07 allele in chronic hepatitis B group was significantly higher than that in normal control group （X^2 = 6.33, P〈0.025, RR = 2.37）. Among the 126 patients, genotype B was found in 38 （30.2%）, genotype C in 69 （54.8%）, and mixed genotype （B＋C） in 19 （15.0%）, genotypes D-F were not found. Among the 46 DRB1＊07（＋） patients, 7 were responders and 39 were non-responders among them （X^2 = 6.71, P〈0.05）. The positivity of HLADRB1＊07 and prevalence of HBV genotype C were significantly higher in non-responders than in responders. CONCLUSION： High positivities of HLA-DRB1 ＊07 allele and HBV genotype C are closely associated with the lower response to interferon-α therapy for chronic hepatitis B.

Objective: To explore the way to lower the morbidity and mortality of patients after pancreaticoduodenec- tomy. Methods: Between march 1998 and march 2001, 26 patients with periampullary tumors received pancre- aticoduodenectomy (PD) with Roux-Y anastomosis to reconstruct the digestive tract. Of these patients, 6 had ductal cell carcinoma at the head of the pan- creas, 8 distal common bile duct carcinoma, 5 amp- ullar adenocarcinoma of the Vater, 6 duodenal ade- nocarcinoma, and 1 duodenal malignant lynphoma. A 30-40 cm free vascularized segment of the proxi- mal jejunum was taken and pulled up to the bed of the duodenum for end-to-end pancreaticojejunosto- my, end-to-side choledocojejunostomy or side-to-side jejunojejunostomy by a single loop. Results: The operative mortality was zero. Postoper- ative intraabdominal hemorrhage occurred in 2 pa- tients, but no leakage during pancreaticojejunostomy or choledocojejunostomy as well as abdominal infec- tion. The patients were discharged from the hospital on the tenth to fourteenth day after operation. Fol- low-up for 5 to 36 months (mean 21 months) re- vealed chronic steatorrhea and malnutrition in one patient (3.85%), and good digestive function and normal nutritional status in 25 (96.15%). No bile reflux gastritis, retrograde infection, anastomotic ul- cer, and dumping syndrome were observed. Conclusion: Our results show that this procedure can effectively reduce the morbidity and mortality of pa- tients after PD.
