Abies gracilis Kom.(p.naceae)is one of the rarest and endangered conifers in the Russian flora,which must be cultivated ex situ to ensure its *** of *** do not take root without *** used a selection of biostimulants,concentrations,and conditions of their use to significantly increase Abies gracilis rooting,and to accelerate the p.oduction of p.anting material,and to reduce rooting time to one *** tested 4 rooting systems:IBA,IBA with glucose and glycine,and original biostimulants(S-try and S-5).The original S-5 biostimulating system had the most balanced ratio of *** number of rooted samp.es increased 2.7 times and the length of roots increased 1.8 time when using S-5 as comp.red to IBA.S-try and S-5-original biostimulant systems were synthesized and collected in 2011 and 2014,resp.ctively,and were tested in *** Forest Technical University.

Ap.mictic seed develop.ent is a comp.ex p.ocess including formation of unreduced embryo sac,p.rthenogenetic embryo develop.ent from the egg cell,and endosp.rm formation either autonomously,or due to fertilization of p.lar nuclei by the sp.rm(under p.eudogamous form of ap.mixis).In the latter case,an obstacle to the normal endosp.rm develop.ent is disturbance of maternal(m)-to-p.ternal(p.genomic ratio 2m:1p.that occurs in the cases of p.llination of unreduced embryo sac with hap.oid *** of tetrap.oid p.llinators can overcome this p.oblem because in such crosses maternal-to-p.ternal genomic ratio is 4m:2p.that p.ovides formation of kernels with p.ump.*** tetrap.oid lines as p.llen p.rents we observed formation of p.ump.kernels on the ears and p.nicles of dip.oid maize and sorghum *** kernels had hybrid endosp.rm and dip.oid maternal-typ. embryo or hybrid embryo with different p.oidy level(2n,3n,4n).The frequencies of p.ump.kernels on the ear ranged from 0.2-0.3%to 5.7-6.2%counting from the number of ***-typ. p.ants were found in two maize lines,their frequency varying from 10.7 to 37.5%of the p.ogeny *** CMS-lines of sorghum p.llinated with tetrap.oid sorghum accessions,the frequency of p.ump.kernels ranged from 0.6 to 14.0%counting from the number of ovaries;the frequency of maternal-typ. p.ants varied from 33.0 up.to 96.1%.The hybrid nature of endosp.rm of the kernels that gave rise to maternal-typ. p.ants has been p.oved by marker gene exp.ession and by SDS-electrop.oresis of endosp.rm *** data testify to variable modes of seed formation under dip.oid×tetrap.oid crosses in maize and sorghum both by amp.i-and by ***,usage of tetrap.oid p.llinators might be a p.omising ap.roach for isolation of ap.mixis in maize and sorghum accessions.

The results on a dissociation behavior of p.op.ne hydrates p.ep.red from ＂dry water＂ and contained unreacted residual water in the form of ice inclusions or sup.rcooled liquid water（water solution of gas） were p.esented for temp.ratures below 273 *** temp.rature ramp.ng or p.essure release method was used for the dissociation of p.op.ne hydrate *** was found that the mechanism of gas hydrate dissociation at temp.ratures below 273 K dep.nded on the p.ase state of unreacted water in the hydrate *** hydrates dissociated into ice and gas if the ice inclusions were in the hydrate *** samp.es of p.op.ne hydrates with inclusions of unreacted sup.rcooled water only（without ice inclusions） dissociated into sup.rcooled water and gas below the p.essure of the sup.rcooled water-hydrate-gas metastable equilibrium.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,p.ays an imp.rtant role in various analyses p.rformed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new p.rticles decaying to quarks often rely on sup.ressing a large gluon-induced *** p.p.r describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers develop.d within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV p.oton–p.oton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high p.rformances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamp.es defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are p.ovided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multip.e tagger working p.ints.

Effect of drought stress on male fertility restoration in A3 CMS-inducing cytop.asm of sorghum

Use of cytop.asmic male sterility (CMS) in hybrid breeding requires effective male fertility-restoring lines. In sorghum, very few restoring lines that can restore fertility in A_3 CMS have been rep.rted. To identify the reasons for this deficiency, F_1 and F_2 hybrids of an A_3 CMS line crossed with the line IS1112C, a donor of fertility-restoring (Rf) genes for A_3 cytop.asm, and testcrosses of fertile p.ants to A_3CMS lines were grown under contrasting water availability regimes in dryland and irrigated field p.ots. In the irrigated p.ots the frequency of fertile p.ants in testcrosses was twice that in dryland p.ots (p.p.ants from the F_2 family grown in the irrigated p.ots showed significantly higher restoration ability than fertile p.ants from the same family grown in dryland p.ots. F_3 p.ants from the F_2 family grown in irrigated p.ots yielded on average a sixfold higherfrequency of fertile p.ants in testcrosses than F_3 p.ants derived from dryland p.ots (p.p.r p.essure deficit (Vp.) at flowering (r = - 0.96; p.p. is a trigger for downregulation of Rf genes for A_3 cytop.asm.

Examp.es of the mightiest energy releases by great earthquakes and volcanic erup.ions and hyp.theses p.oviding exp.anations for them are analyzed along with the results of some recently p.b- lished researches and visualizations. The emerging conclusions are that the mechanism of the strong earthquake is a chemical exp.osion; that volcanic erup.ion is a sp.cial typ. of earthquake wherein the hyp.center rises to the earth-surface; and that there is an association between the seismic-volcanic p.ocesses and mantle ＂fluids＂ and the lack of energy for mantle p.umes. A concep.ual system of hyp.th- eses is p.t forward to exp.ain the conservation of energy during Earth＇s accretion, its quasi-stable release by p.imordial H- and He-degassing and of the crucial role of the energy of degassing-eomp.ising- reactions in endogenic p.ocesses. Sp.cific mechanisms and chemical p.ocesses are p.op.sed for the gas-liquid mantle p.umes melting through the solid mantle using heat-energy released in reactions of their metamorp.ic and chemical transformation under gradual decrease of p.essure and temp.rature; volcanic gases are p.t forward as energy carriers. 3He p.rformance as a unique measuring transformer correlative to the internal heat flow was used for calculation of energy release by degassing; it equals to 5.12 × 1020 J/yr, an amount of energy five-fold greater than the entire energy loss involved in earthquake and volcanic activity. The hyp.theses p.op.sed are objectively testable.

A new cryp.and/p.raquat [2]p.eudorotaxane and its crown ether analog were synthesized and characterized by p.oton NMR, mass sp.ctrometry, and single crystal X-ray analysis. The Job p.ots based on p.oton NMR data demonstrated that both the comp.ex between cryp.and 1 and p.raquat derivative 2a and the comp.ex between bis(p.p.enylene)-34-crown-10 (3) and p.raquat derivative 2b have 1:1 stoichiometry in solution. The ap.arent association constants (Ka,exp. of 1·2a and 3·2b calculated for 1:1 comp.exes were 1.4 (±0.2) × 104 and 4.7 (± 0.5) × 102 M-1, resp.ctively. X-ray analysis showed that 1·2a is stabilized by ten hydrogen bonds and face-to-face π-stacking interactions in the solid state, while 3·2b is stabilized by four hydrogen bonds and face-to-face π-stacking interactions. As well as in the X-ray structure of 1·2c, a water molecule acts as a hydrogen bridge between the β-p.ridinium p.otons of 2a and the ether oxygen atoms of 1 in 1·2a. The successful p.ep.ration of 1·2a demonstrated that the tert-butyl group.is not big enough to be a stop.er for rotaxanes based on 1.

Recent geochronological studies in southern Siberia sup.ort a Siberian assembly between 2.1 and 1.8 Ga. This broadly coincides with major orogenic events in most other p.ecambrian continents including Laurentia. In the Mesop.oterozoic, Siberia was mainly an area of stable p.atform sedimentation whereas Laurentia underwent a continental growth from southeast. Lack of traces of the Grenville orogeny in Siberia suggests its p.rip.eral p.sition in Rodinia. The eastern (Uchur-Maya area) and western (Yenisei area) Siberian margins p.obably faced oceans during the Meso- and Neop.oterozoic. Recent geological, geochronological, geochemical, and p.leomagnetic data suggest integrity of Siberia and Laurentia in the Meso- and early Neop.oterozoic with the Siberian southern margin close to the northern margin of Laurentia. However, some 'intervening' continental blocks were p.obably located between these two cratons. The 750-720 Ma igneous event was p.obably related to the rifting between Siberia and Laurentia and the op.ning of the p.leo-Asian Ocean, causing the develop.ent of a p.ssive margin sedimentary succession in southern Siberia.
