We discuss the spatial limit of the quasi-local mass for certain ellipsoids in an asymptotically flat static spherically symmetric *** ellipsoids are not nearly round but they are of interest as an admissible parametrized foliation defining the Arnowitt–Deser–Misner *** Hawking mass of this family of ellipsoids tends to-∞.In contrast,we show that the Hayward mass converges to a finite ***,a positive mass type theorem is *** limit of the mass has a uniform positive lower bound no matter how oblate these ellipsoids *** result could be extended for asymptotically Schwarzschild *** numerical simulation in the Schwarzschild spacetime illustrates that the Hayward mass is monotonically increasing near infinity.

Neck trauma with a traumatized airway can be challenging for airway management, as the neck is a vital structure. Case Report: We are reporting on a 33-year-old male worker who suffered an industrial accident. A steel cord severely hit his neck. He was brought to our ER immediately. Upon arrival, he was conscious with stable vital signs. A physical examination revealed that his Adam’s apple was penetrated, and the adjacent soft tissue and structures were visible. A CT scan showed an anterior and left lateral neck penetrating injury with an open wound, exposure of the thyroid cartilage, a left thyroid cartilage fracture, and pneumoderma. He was urgently taken to the operating theater for airway stabilization and underwent six hours of exploration of the laryngopharyngeal cavity and closure of the laryngopharyngeal defect. He was then sent to the ICU. After two months in the hospital, he regularly follows up in the outpatient department. Conclusion: Effective decision-making for neck trauma with a compromised airway is crucial to ensure the patient’s safety.

Background: Pediatric pheochromocytoma is very rare, accounting for only about 1% of pediatric hypertension. Case Presentation: We presented a case of pediatric pheochromocytoma in a 12-year-old girl undergoing laparoscopic adrenalectomy, with the aim of highlighting an anesthetic challenge. Conclusion: Preoperative screening of hereditary conditions, investigations for end-organ dysfunction, preoperative blood pressure optimization, intensive intraoperative hemodynamic management and good communication with surgeons were the cornerstones for this successful surgery.

The corrosion rates of additive-manufactured Mg alloys are higher than their as-cast counterparts,possibly due to increased kinetics for the hydrogen evolution reaction on secondary phases,which may include oxide *** Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy demonstrated that MgO inclusions could act as cathodes for Mg corrosion,but their low conductivity likely precludes ***,the density of state calculations through density functional theory using hybrid HSE06 functional revealed overlapping electronic states at the Mg/MgO interface,which facilitates electron transfers and participates in redox *** determination of the hydrogen absorption energy at the Mg/MgO interface reveals it to be an excellent catalytic site,with HER being found to be a factor of 23x more efficient at the interface than on metallic *** results not only support the plausibility of the Mg/MgO interface being an effective cathode to the adjacent anodic Mg matrix during corrosion but also contribute to the understanding of the enhanced cathodic activities observed during the anodic dissolution of magnesium.

Mutations in the leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 gene (LRRK2) are one of the most frequent genetic causes of both familial and sporadic Parkinson’s disease (PD). Mounting evidence has demonstrated pathological similarities between LRRK2-associated PD (LRRK2-PD) and sporadic PD, suggesting that LRRK2 is a potential disease modulator and a thera-peutic target in PD. LRRK2 mutant knock-in (KI) mouse models display subtle alterations in pathological aspects that mirror early-stage PD, including increased susceptibility of nigrostriatal neurotransmission, development of motor and non-motor symptoms, mitochondrial and autophagy-lysosomal defects and synucleinopathies. This review provides a rationale for the use of LRRK2 KI mice to investigate the LRRK2-mediated pathogenesis of PD and implications from current findings from different LRRK2 KI mouse models, and ultimately discusses the therapeutic potentials against LRRK2-associated pathologies in PD.

目的觀察短時程脊髓電刺激在治療神經病理性疼痛的療效。方法回顧性分析本院2015年1月~2019年6月期間,採用短時程脊髓電刺激治療的神經病理性疼痛患者的臨床資料,利用視覺模擬評分(VAS)及簡式McGill疼痛問卷(SF-MPQ)評估術前、術後1週、術後4週、術後12週、術後24週的療效。結果本研究入組21例患者,術後1、4、12、24週療效分別與術前比較,VAS、SF-MPQ結果明顯改善,差異有統計學意義(P0.05),術後12、24週結果相近,差異無統計學意義(P>0.05);術後12、24週VAS較術後1、4週評分增加,差異有統計學意義(P<0.05);術後各時間點SF-MPQ比較,以術後4週改善最明顯,其後依次是術後1週、術後12週、術後24週,SF-MPQ評分均較前一時間點增加,差異有統計學意義(P<0.01)。結論短時程脊髓電刺激可有效減輕神經病理性疼痛,改善患者生活質量,具有臨床應用價值。

目的觀察年齡對腰脊神經根射頻療效的影響。方法回顧性分析本院2020年1月~2022年12月期間,採用脊神經脈衝射頻治療的68例下肢神經根性疼痛患者的臨床資料,年齡介於42歲~92歲(中位數69.5歲),按年齡中位數分為年輕組與年老組,兩組各34例,分析兩組患者術前、術後1週、術後1個月、術後2個月、術後3個月的視覺模擬評分(VAS)及改良MacNab療效評定標準評價術後3個月療效優良率。結果兩組患者術後各時間點的VAS評分均較術前降低,差異有統計學意義(P0.05);術後1週療效相當,VAS評分差異無統計學意義(P>0.05);術後1個月、術後2個月、術後3個月年老組VAS評分低於年輕組,差異有統計學意義(P<0.05);術後3個月MacNab評定療效優良率年老組為85.2%,顯著高於年輕組的50%(P<0.05)。結論腰脊神經脈衝射頻可有效治療下肢神經根性疼痛,尤其是高齡患者療效確切,持續時間較長,可顯著減輕疼痛、改善生活質量、減少手術風險,具有臨床應用價值。
