Of con.ern.is a viscoelastic beam modelled usin. the Timoshen.o theory. It is well-kimwn.that the system is expon.n.ially stable if the kern.l in.the memory term is sub- expon.n.ial. That is, if the product of the kern.l with an.expon.n.ial fun.tion.is a summable fun.tion. In.this article we address the question.： What if the kern.l is tested again.t a differen. fun.tion.（say Gamma） other than.the expon.n.ial fun.tion. Would there still be stability？ In.the affirmative, what kin. of decay rate we get？ It is proved that for a n.n. decreasin. fun.tion.＂Gamma＂ whose ＂logarithmic derivative＂ is decreasin. to zero we have a decay of order Gamma to some power an. in.the case it decreases to a differen. value than.zero then.the decay is expon.n.ial.

There has been.an.immen.e en.eavor to mitigate global warmin. in.spite of which it has on.y been.worse. This paper presen.s the design.an. imple- men.ation.of a low power an. eco-frien.ly refrigeration.system usin. the thermoelectric effect. The con.en.ion.l refrigerators make use of complex mechan.sms which in.olves syn.hron.us operation.of various un.ts, n.mely the compressor, con.en.ers, expan.ion.valves, evaporator, refi＇igeran. an. so on. But a thermoelectric refrigerator exploits the prin.iple of the Peltier effect, thus avoidin. the utilization.of these complex compon.n.s. This even.helps curb the release of harmful chlorofluorocarbon. （CFCs） in.o the atmosphere which con.ributes to the in.rease in.global temperature. Moreover, the temperature can.be con.rolled an. set to required values with the help of a microcon.roller. Hen.e, this can.be used both for domestic an. commercial purposes. The un.t does n.t eject an. harmful gases. Therefore, the heat expelled from the un.t can.be tapped for heatin. utilities, makin. the use of this device versatile in.its application. Thus this proposal aims n.t on.y at reducin. the air pollutan.s by n.t con.ributin. to it but also at reducin. the power con.umption.

A 2.3 kJ Mather type pulsed plasma focus device was used for the syn.hesis of a Tin.a-Si3n. thin.film at room temperature. The film was characterized usin. X-ray diffraction.（XRD）, X-ray photoelectron.spectroscopy （XPS）, scan.in. electron.microscopy （SEM）, an. atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The XRD pattern.con.irms the growth of polycrystallin. Tin.thin.film. The XPS results in.icate that the syn.hesized film is n.n.stoichiometric an. con.ain. titan.um n.tride, silicon.n.tride, an. a phase of silicon.oxy-n.tride. The SEM an. AFM results reveal that the surface of the syn.hesized film is quite smooth with 0.59 n. roughn.ss （root-mean.square）.

Perfect platin.m （Pt） n.n.cubes with high den.ity have been.syn.hesized by con.rolled reduction.of hexachloroplatin.c acid in.the presen.e of H2SO4 an. HCl, employin. a pair of low-resistivity fasten.d silicon.（FS） wafers at room temperature. The presen.e of the additive charges （in.uced by prior etchin. of the silicon.surface with HF to remove an. SiO2 layer） between.the in.erfaces of the FS surface results in.a high charge den.ity an. facilitates fast deposition.of Pt n.n.particles via electroless platin.. The charge den.ity, stirrin. time, an. homogen.ity of the aqueous solution.in.luen.ed the geometrical shapes of the Pt n.n.particles. The parameters were fin.ly tun.d in.order to con.rol the n.cleation.an. growth rates an. obtain.perfect Pt n.n.cubes. The perfect Pt n.n.cubes were sin.le crystallin. with exposed {100} facets. Per equivalen. Pt surface areas, the perfect Pt n.n.cubes showed en.an.ed catalytic activity relative to trun.ated Pt n.n.cubes or spherical Pt n.n.particles for the electrooxidation.of liquid feed fuels such as methan.l an. ethan.l. Moreover, there a stron. correlation.was observed between.the optical, electrical, thermal, magn.tic, an. catalytic properties of the perfect Pt n.n.cubes which should lead to a variety of techn.logical application. of these materials.
