Introduction: A practical staging classification that has prognostic significance in m.cinous appendiceal neoplasm. represents an unm.t need in oncology. The purpose of this study is to present a second edition of the PSDSS in m.cinous appendiceal neoplasm. with or without peritoneal dissem.nation based on the AJCC/TNm.8th edition. m.terials and m.thods: We analyzed 229 patients based on the AJCC/TNm.8th edition incorporating G (grade) and E (extent of disease). The im.act of these 5 clinicopathological variables (T, N, m. G, E) is scored as stages 0 to IV and is reported as the Esquivel Peritoneal Surface Disease Severity Score (E-PSDSS). Results: One hundred and seventy-three patients underwent cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and HIPEC. There were 30 (13.1%), 56 (24.4%), 48 (20.9%), 20 (8.7%) and 75 (32.7%) patients with E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III, and IV, respectively. Five-year overall survival was 100%, 100%, 84.46%, 52.29% and 12.92% for E-PSDSS 0, I, II, III and IV, respectively (p Conclusion: The E-PSDSS com.ines specim.n exam.nation and reporting according to the College of Am.rican Pathologists with the pTNm.requirem.nts from.the AJCC staging m.nual. It represents an im.ortant prognostic indicator in patients with m.cinous appendiceal neoplasm..

The aim.of the current study was to evaluate the productive capacity of the phytoplankton com.unity and other environm.ntal variables in the estuarine area of Suape;while considering the constant m.rphological, sedim.ntological and hydrological changes, the site has been facing due to the im.lem.ntation and expansion of an industrial and port com.lex. The study com.rised 6 cam.aigns: 3 in the dry season and 3 in the rainy season. Water sam.les were collected from.the surface layer of the internal and external portions of the estuarine bay during low spring tides. The salinity ranged from.32.20 to 37.10, the water tem.erature ranged from.26.60°C to 29.40°C, and the oxygen saturation rate ranged from.58.5% to 114.5%. There was significant seasonal variation. The nitrite concentration was higher during the rainy season, whereas the am.onia concentration was higher during the dry season;the higher am.onia concentration helped increase chlorophyll-a levels and rates of prim.ry productivity, which ranged from.0.02 - 2.45 m.·m.#8722;3 and from.0.34 to 4.32 m.·C·m.#8722;3·h−1, respectively. Chlorophyll-a a-containing biom.ss, and this reflected the low nutrient content in the water and indicated that the area was free from.eutrophication processes. The decrease of rainfall during the sam.ling m.nths and the anthropogenic changes in the environm.nt led to reduced continental contributions, increased m.rine interference, nutrient dilution and loss of phytoplankton production capacity in Suape Bay, which severely dam.ged other trophic links in the ecosystem.

对地层水饱和度的了解是估算地层中原油的关键。另外，精确地估算渗透率对射孔层段、流体注入层段的选取以及预测产能都非常必要。当岩心测量可用时，对这两个岩石物理参数进行可靠性评估是可能的。然而，这样的测量总不可行，并且倘若可行的话，它们的可信度有时也令人质疑。本文描述了一种用来估算地层水电阻率（Rw）和阿尔奇胶结指数（m.的新的反演方法。即在水层中联合使用裸眼井原始阵列感应电阻率测量和自然电位（SP）测井。在侵入剖面类似活塞的前提下，进行电阻率和自然电位测量结果的联合反演。在这样做的过程中，储集层被分成岩石物理层来说明地层纵向非均质性。反演结果为侵入地层和原始地层电阻率、侵入半径以及静自然电位（SSP）的值。通过假设薄膜和扩散电位是SSP的主要贡献者来预测地层水电阻率。阿尔奇或者双水公式使得对m.的估计成为可能。对于在碎屑地层中采集到的两组数据集，我们成功地应用了此联合预测方法。一组数据对应为高渗透率、低含盐浓度地层。第二组则为高渗透率、高含盐浓度地层。反演出的Rw和m.与从Pickett图中获得的值是一致的，由此则确认了预测的可信度。这些值被用来估算含油气地层的含水饱和度。对地层水饱和度的精确估算容许我们应用泥浆滤液侵入的物理特性来预测渗透率。通过逐步修正渗透率值和进行多重泥浆滤液反演模拟，我们匹配裸眼井电阻率测量结果，进而获得对绝对渗透率的预测。相对于大多数有希望层段中的初始估计，纵向非均质地层中预测出的渗透率值有所增加（在25％～85％之间）。本文中描述的方法对探井和评价井中（这里的岩心测量值可能不可用）的岩石物理分析是一种有效的方法。

Bridges are im.ortant elem.nts in road system.and can influence the entire econom. of cities and region. Usually, these structures have high financial investm.nts for their constructions, in this way, m.intenance and conservation becom. so im.ortant. Inspection is a technical activity that covers several operations, including perform.nce analysis; exam.nation; final perform.nce report, other operations m.y be necessary, such as m.intenance work, recovery, strengthening and rehabilitation. Technical exam.nation together with som. test m.thods allows a critical and param.tric judgm.nt of the bridge perform.nce by m.nim.zing the subjectivity of visual evaluations, and perm.ts a m.re detailed diagnosis. This paper discusses the m.thodology to perform.tests to com.lem.nt the assessm.nt recom.ended by DNIT （Brazilian National departm.nt of Transport Infrastructure）, which consists only on a visual judgm.nt. This approach provides technical basis to classify the bridges as its need and urgency of m.intenance.

m.ltiple m.elom. is a hem.tological m.lignancy inwhich clonal plasm. cells proliferate and accum.late within the bone m.rrow. The presence of osteolytic le-sions due to increased osteoclast(OC) activity and sup-pressed osteoblast(OB) function is characteristic of the disease. The bone m.rrow m.senchym.l strom.l cells(m.Cs) play a critical role in m.ltiple m.elom. patho-physiology, greatly prom.ting the growth, survival, drug resistance and m.gration of m.elom. cells. Here, we specifically discuss on the relative contribution of m.Cs to the pathophysiology of osteolytic lesions in light of the current knowledge of the biology of m.-elom. bone disease(m.D), together with the reported genom.c, functional and gene expression differences between m.Cs derived from.m.elom. patients(pm.Cs) and their healthy counterparts(dm.Cs). Being m.Cs the progenitors of OBs, pm.Cs prim.rily contribute to the pathogenesis of m.D because of their reduced osteogenic potential consequence of m.ltiple OB inhibi-tory factors and direct interactions with m.elom. cells in the bone m.rrow. Im.ortantly, pm.Cs also readily contribute to m.D by prom.ting OC form.tion and ac-tivity at various levels(i.e., increasing RANKL to OPG expression, augm.nting secretion of activin A, uncou-pling ephrinB2-EphB4 signaling, and through augm.nt-ed production of Wnt5a), thus further contributing to OB/OC uncoupling in osteolytic lesions. In this review, we also look over m.in signaling pathways involved in the osteogenic differentiation of m.Cs and/or OB activity, highlighting am.nable therapeutic targets; in parallel, the reported activity of bone-anabolic agents(at preclinical or clinical stage) targeting those signaling pathways is com.ented.

Stoichiom.tric m.xtures of FeO and Y2O3 were m.lled and heat treated to obtain yttrium.iron garnet, Y3Fe5O12. Two types of heating system. were used: one, a spark plasm. sintering m.chine and the second, an electrical oven. The m.gnetic properties of the resulting specim.ns have been analyzed and discussed as a function of the grain size and the particles’ m.rphology. The partial form.tion of garnet and orthoferrite phases was revealed on the obtained powder through m.crostructural analyses after 9 h of ball m.lling. The m.lled powders were transform.d into the orthoferrite phase after the SPS-treatm.nt at 700°C and 900°C. m.gnetic-saturation studies revealed m.gnetic responses up to 12.7 em./g for specim.ns SPS-treated at 700°C, whereas 2.1 em./g for sam.les SPS-treated at 900°C. Conventionally treated specim.ns at 700°C developed 0.36 em./g of m.gnetization, while 0.93 em./g was registered for those treated at 900°C.

Inflam.atory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), rep- resents a group of chronic disorders characterized by inflam.ation of the gastrointestinal tract, typically with a relapsing and rem.tting clinical course. m.cosal m.c- rophages play an im.ortant role in the m.cosal im. m.ne system. and an increase in the num.er of newly recruited m.nocytes and activated m.crophages has been noted in the inflam.d gut of patients with IBD. Activated m.crophages are thought to be m.jor con- tributors to the production of inflam.atory cytokines in the gut, and im.alance of cytokines is contributing to the pathogenesis of IBD. The intestinal inflam.ation in IBD is controlled by a com.lex interplay of innate and adaptive im.une m.chanism.. Cytokines play a key role in IBD that determ.ne T cell differentiation of Th1, Th2, T regulatory and newly described Th17 cells. Cytokines levels in tim. and space orchestrate the developm.nt, recurrence and exacerbation of the inflam.atory process in IBD. Therefore, several cyto- kine therapies have been developed and tested for the treatm.nt of IBD patients.
