Multiple gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type: A case report

BACKGROUND In recent years, there have been reports of a new histological type of gastric cancer, termed gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland (GA-FG). This disease entity presents differentiation towards the fundic gland, especially chief cellpredominant differentiation (GA-FG-CCP). GA-FG-CCP easily invades into the submucosa but rarely shows metastasis. The reports mostly describe primarily single lesions. Herein, we report a case with multiple lesions, and summarize the clinicopathologic characteristics of multiple cases. CASE SUMMARY A 55-year-old woman underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy screening. Two whitish lesions on the anterior wall of the gastric corpus and the gastric fundus were detected. The patient had previously received Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. The mucosa was characterized as grade C-2 atrophic gastritis. We diagnosed the patient with multiple GA-FG (GA-FG-CCP) by hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining and immunohistochemical staining of the endoscopic biopsy. Upon performing endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), one lesion was not found, but the scar from the biopsy was visible;the mucularis mucosa of the biopsy and ESD-resected specimen were intact. The two lesions showed no lymphatic nor venous invasion. The resection performed appeared to be relatively curative. CONClUSION Cases of multiple GA-FG-CCP are very rare in clinical practice. Most of its clinicopathologic characteristics are similar to those of a single lesion. Our case provides diagnostic and therapeutic information about GA-FG-CCP with multiple lesions.

A homogeneous and compact super-aligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)-reinforced nickel-matrix composite was successfully prepared by electrodeposition. The mechanical properties of the laminar SACNT/Ni composites were substantially improved compared with those of pure nickel. With increasing content of SACNTs, the tensile strength of the composite increased and the elongation decreased because of the high-strength SACNTs bearing part of an applied load and the fine-grained strengthening mechanism. The nanohardness of the SACNT/Ni composites was improved from 3.92 GPa(pure nickel) to 4.62 GPa(Ni-4 vol%SACNTs). The uniform distribution of SACNTs in the composites and strong interfacial bonding between the SACNTs and the nickel matrix resulted in an improvement of the mechanical properties of the SACNT/Ni composites. The introduced SACNTs refined the nickel grains, increased the amount of crystal twins, and changed the preferred orientation of grain growth.

The Ba,Y and A1 co-doped li_(7)la_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)(llZO)was prepared by the solid-state reaction *** of sintering on the crystallographic structure,morphology,total conductivity,relative density and contractibility rate of the prepared solid electrolyte was studied,*** sintered samples were characterized by X-ray diffractometer(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS)and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES)techniques,*** cubic garnet phase Ba,Y and Al co-doped llZO is obtained,and the room-temperature total conductivity of the Ba,Y and Al co-doped llZO solid electrolyte is improved significantly by eliminating the grain boundary resistances and improving the densifications with controlling sintering temperature(T)and time(t),*** at 1160-1190℃for 12 h and at 1190℃for6-15 h,respectively,the Ba,Y and Al co-doped llZO solid electrolytes are cubic garnet *** at1180-1190℃for 12 h and at 1190℃for 12-18 h,respectively,SEM images of the cross section of the Ba,Y and Al co-doped llZO solid electrolytes exhibit the distinctively flattened morphology without any noticeable grain *** total conductivity,relative density and contractibility rate of li_(6.52)la_(2.98)-Ba_(0.02)Zr_(1.9)Y_(0.1)Al_(0.2)O_(12)solid electrolyte are 2.96×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1),94.19%and 18.61%,respectively.

We demonstrated a novel method to measure the unloaded quality factor(Q factor) of high-Q resonant cavities. This method was used to obtain data with low errors and calculate the unloaded Q factor. This procedure was more reliable than traditional methods. The data required for the method were near the resonant frequency,not at the half-power points of the reflection coefficient curve or Smith chart. We applied the new method to measure a resonant cavity with an unloaded Q factor of^100,000, obtaining good agreement between the measured and theoretical results.

Designer chromosomes are artificially synthesized ***,these chromosomes have numerous applications ranging from medical research to the development of ***,some chromosome fragments can interfere with the chemical synthesis of designer chromosomes and eventually limit the widespread use of this *** address this issue,this study aimed to develop an interpretable machine learning framework to predict and quantify the synthesis difficulties of designer chromosomes in *** the use of this framework,six key sequence features leading to synthesis difficulties were identified,and an e Xtreme Gradient Boosting model was established to integrate these *** predictive model achieved high-quality performance with an AUC of 0.895 in cross-validation and an AUC of 0.885 on an independent test *** on these results,the synthesis difficulty index(S-index)was proposed as a means of scoring and interpreting synthesis difficulties of chromosomes from prokaryotes to *** findings of this study emphasize the significant variability in synthesis difficulties between chromosomes and demonstrate the potential of the proposed model to predict and mitigate these difficulties through the optimization of the synthesis process and genome rewriting.

The critical factors that limit the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur(li-S)batteries are mainly the“shuttle effect”of polysulfides and the slow redox reaction between lithium polysulfides(liPSs).Herein,a nano-sphere-type material selfassembled from tin disulfide nanosheets is designed and applied to the li-S cell separator in this *** SnS_(2)@PP modified separator not only acts as a dual restriction for liPSs by chemisorption and physical *** the same time,it improves the catalytic activity of the redox reaction between *** SnS_(2)has extremely high electrochemical ***,a portion of the lithium ions can be inserted into SnS_(2)to form li_(x)SnS_(2)and contribute to the capacity during the first discharge of the *** addition,li_(x)SnS_(2)possesses a high degree of stability,and it does not undergo further de-alloying reactions even at the high potential of the li-S *** benefit is that the steady-state li_(x)SnS_(2)acts as a lithium-containing *** can form special li^(+)channels on the surface of the separator,thus greatly improving the efficiency of li+*** results showed that the SnS_(2)@PP-based cell exhibited extremely high initial discharge specific capacity(1477 m Ah g^(-1)at 0.1 C)and excellent rate performance(631 m Ah g^(-1)at 5 C).Even after 1000 cycles at 2 C,the cell exhibited a low decay rate of 0.06%per cycle on *** addition,the superior electrochemical performance was obtained even with a high sulfur loading of 5.1 mg cm^(-2)and low electrolyte of E/S=8μl mg^(-1).
