A new series of high molecular weight amphi-philic graft copolymers PE-g-PEO has been prepared. The esterifications between PE-p-MS-g-MA and PEO with OH group at the chain end are carried out under different condi-tions. The compositions of these graft copolymers are studied by NMR and FTIR. It is found to be a convenient and effi-cient way to prepare high molecular weight PE-g-PEO graft copolymers.

There has been considerable innovation and advancement in the field of exercise and physical activity (pa).In regards to the battle against chronic non-communicable disease,however,we believe the model of pa that would prove most salu-tary is one closely mimicking that of our hunter-gatherer *** the purpose of longevity,the human body and our genetic makeup have been evolutionarily adapted to respond best to moderate amounts of high-intensity interval training,in conjunction with high amounts of low intensity ***,to optimize resiliency and cardiorespiratory fitness,a hunter-gatherer fitness regimen must include cross training targeted at flexibility,balance and *** not com-monly understood,the health benefits from exercise comprise a reverse *** endurance athletes residing on the furthest reaches of the pa spectrum appear to lose a substantial portion of the exercise-related longevity and cardiovascular benefits due to cardiac overuse ***,there is an emerging body of evidence suggesting l.isure time exercise done with peers in a natural environment is significantly superior to that training done in *** idea of the "power of play" lends support to the ancestral model of pa whereby humans are evolutionary adapted to be highly social,outdoor creatures capable of a diverse range of pa at varying intensities.

Machine learning(Ml.is emerging as a powerful tool to predict the properties of materials,including *** Ml models with knowledge of how glass composition affects short-range atomic structure has the potential to enhance the ability of composition-property models to extrapolate accurately outside of their training ***,we introduce an approach wherein statistical mechanics informs a Ml model that can predict the non-linear composition-structure relations in oxide *** combined model offers an improved prediction compared to models relying solely on statistical physics or machine learning ***,we show that the combined model accurately both interpolates and extrapolates the structure of Na_(2)O–SiO_(2)***,the model.is able to extrapolate predictions outside its training set,which is evidenced by the fact that it is able to predict the structure of a glass series that was kept fully hidden from the model during its training.

Climate changes that occur as a result of global warming caused by increasing amounts of greenhouse gases(GHGs)released into the atmosphere are an alarming *** greenhouse gas emissions is critically important for the current and future status of mining *** mining industry is one of the significant contributors of greenhouse *** essence,anthropogenic greenhouse gases are emitted directly during the actual mining and indirectly released by the energy-intensive activities associated with mining equipment,ore transport,and the processing ***,we reviewed both direct and indirect GHG emissions to analyze how mining contributes to climate *** addition,we showed how climate change impacts mineral *** assessment was performed using a GHG inventory model for the gases released from mines undergoing different product life *** also elucidate the key issues and various research outcomes to demonstrate how the mining industry and policymakers can mitigate GHG emission from the mining *** review concludes with an overview of GHG release reduction and mitigation strategies.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATlAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton col.ision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATlAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Occupational and environmental exposures to industrial chemicals are well known to cause hepatotoxicity and liver ***,despite extensive evidence showing that exposure can lead to disease,current research approaches and regulatory policies fail to address the possibility that subtle changes caused by low level exposure to chemicals may also enhance preexisting *** recent years,the conceptual understanding of the contribution of environmental chemicals to liver disease has progressed *** are often target of toxicity of environmental toxicants resulting in mul.isystem disorders involving different cells,tissues,and ***,we review persistent maladaptive changes to mitochondria in response to environmental toxicant exposure as a mechanism of *** better understanding of the mechanism(s) and risk factors that mediate the initiation and progression of toxicant-induced liver disease,rational targeted therapy can be developed to better predict risk,as well as to treat or prevent this disease.

We report a case of intravenous(IV) amiodarone drug induced liver injury(DIlI).The patient received IV N-acetylcysteine(NAC) which resulted in a rapid improvement in liver *** the specific mechanisms for the pathogenesis of IV amiodaroneDIlI and the therapeutic action of IV NAC are both unknown, this case strongly implies at least some *** IV amiodarone is indicated for the treatment of serious cardiac arrhythmias in an intensive care unit setting, some degree of ischemic hepatitis is likely a cofactor in most cases.
