Synthesis and Characterization of Rare Earth Ion Doped Nano ZnO

Zinc oxide(ZnO) doped with erbium at different concentrations was synthesized by solid-state reaction method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopic(SEM), UVabsorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence(PL) study and vibrating sample magnetometer. The XRD studies exhibit the presence of wurtzite crystal structure similar to the parent compound ZnO in 1% Er^(3+)doped Zn O,suggesting that doped Er^(3+)ions sit at the regular Zn^(2+)sites. However, same studies spread over the samples with Er^(3+)content>1% reveals the occurrence of secondary phase. SEM images of 1% Er^(3+)doped ZnO show the polycrystalline nature of the synthesized sample. UV-visible absorption spectrum of Er^(3+)doped ZnO nanocrystals shows a strong absorption peak at 388 nm due to ZnO band to band transition. The PL study exhibits emission in the visible region, due to excitonic as well as defect related transitions. The magnetizationfield curve of Er^(3+)doped ZnO nanocrystals showed ferromagnetic property at room-temperature.

Cloud computing is an Information Technology deployment model established on *** scheduling states the set of rules for task allocations to an exact virtual machine in the cloud computing ***,task scheduling challenges such as optimal task scheduling performance solutions,are addressed in cloud ***,the cloud computing performance due to task scheduling is improved by proposing a Dynamic Weighted Round-Robin *** recommended DWRR algorithm improves the task scheduling performance by considering resource competencies,task priorities,and ***,a heuristic algorithm called Hybrid Particle Swarm Parallel Ant Colony Optimization is proposed to solve the task execution delay problem in DWRR based task *** the end,a fuzzy logic system is designed for HPSPACO that expands task scheduling in the cloud environment.A fuzzy method is proposed for the inertia weight update of the PSO and pheromone trails update of the ***,the proposed Fuzzy Hybrid Particle Swarm Parallel Ant Colony Optimization on cloud computing achieves improved task scheduling by minimizing the execution and waiting time,system throughput,and maximizing resource utilization.

Classifying the data into a meaningful group is one of the fundamental ways of understanding and learning the valuable information. High-quality clustering methods are necessary for the valuable and efficient analysis of the increasing data. The Firefly Algorithm (FA) is one of the bio-inspired algorithms and it is recently used to solve the clustering problems. In this paper, Hybrid F-Firefly algorithm is developed by combining the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) with FA to improve the clustering accuracy with global optimum solution. The Hybrid F-Firefly algorithm is developed by incorporating FCM operator at the end of each iteration in FA algorithm. This proposed algorithm is designed to utilize the goodness of existing algorithm and to enhance the original FA algorithm by solving the shortcomings in the FCM algorithm like the trapping in local optima and sensitive to initial seed points. In this research work, the Hybrid F-Firefly algorithm is implemented and experimentally tested for various performance measures under six different benchmark datasets. From the experimental results, it is observed that the Hybrid F-Firefly algorithm significantly improves the intra-cluster distance when compared with the existing algorithms like K-means, FCM and FA algorithm.

The core G protein signaling module,which consists of Gαand extra-large Gα(XLG)subunits coupled with the Gβγdimer,is a master regulator of various stress *** this study,we compared the basal and salt stress-induced transcriptomic,metabolomic and phenotypic profiles in Gα,Gβ,and XLG-null mutants of two plant species,Arabidopsis thaliana and Marchantia polymorpha,and showed that G protein mediates the shift of transcriptional and metabolic homeostasis to stress readiness *** demonstrated that such stress readiness serves as an intrinsic protection mechanism against further stressors through enhancing the phenylpropanoid pathway and abscisic acid ***,WRKY transcription factors were identified as key intermediates of G protein-mediated homeostatic *** and mathematical model comparisons between *** and *** revealed evolutionary conservation of transcriptional and metabolic networks over land plant evolution,whereas divergence has occurred in the function of plant-specific atypical XLG *** together,our results indicate that the shifts in transcriptional and metabolic homeostasis at least partially act as the mechanisms of G protein-coupled stress responses that are conserved between two distantly related plants.

An EPQ Model with Imperfect Production Systems with Rework of Regular Production and Sales Return

The Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) model is commonly used by practitioners in the fields of production and inventory management to assist them in making decision on production lot size. The common assumptions in this model are that all units produced are perfect and shortages are not allowed. But, in real situation the defective items will be produced in each cycle of production and shortages and scrap are possible. These assumptions will underestimate the actual required quantity. Hence, the defective items can not be ignored in the production process. Rework process is necessary to convert those defective into finished goods. This study proposes EPQ model that incorporates both imperfect production quality and falsely not screening out a proportion of defects, thereby passing them on to customers, resulting in defect sales returns. To active this objective a suitable mathematical model is developed and the optimal production lot size which minimizes the total cost is derived. An illustrative example is provided and numerically verified. The validation of result in this model was coded in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks consist of nodes which are wireless and get organized based on the transmission requirement. These nodes are mobile nodes, so they communicate with each other without any fixed access point. This type of network faces several attacks because of its mobility nature. In MANET, black hole attacks may cause packet dropping or misrouting of packets during transmission from sender to receiver. This may lead to performance degradation in the network. To surmount this issue, we propose the modified secret sharing scheme to provide the data protection from unauthorized nodes, consistency of data and genuineness. In this algorithm, initially the identification of black hole attacks is achieved and followed by data protection from malicious nodes and also this scheme checks for the reality of the data. Here, we detect the misbehaviour that is dropping or misrouting using verifiable secret sharing scheme. The proposed algorithm achieves the better packet delivery ratio, misbehaviour detection efficiency, fewer packets overhead and end-to-end delay than the existing schemes. These can be viewed in the simulation results.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the predominant impairment of neurons in the hippocampus and the formation of amyloid plaques,hyperphosphorylated tau protein,and neurofibrillary tangles in the *** overexpression of amyloid-βprecursor protein(APP)in an AD brain results in the binding of APP intracellular domain(AICD)to Fe65 protein via the C-terminal Fe65-PTB2 interaction,which then triggers the secretion of amyloid-βand the consequent pathogenesis of ***,targeting the interaction between APP and Fe65 can offer a promising therapeutic approach for ***,exosome,a type of extracellular vesicle with diameter around 30–200 nm,has gained much attention as a potential delivery tool for brain diseases,including AD,due to their ability to cross the blood–brain barrier,their efficient uptake by autologous cells,and their ability to be surface-modified with target-specific receptor ***,the engineering of hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes to overexpress Fe65,enabled the development of a novel exosome-based targeted drug delivery system,which carried Corynoxine-B(Cory-B,an autophagy inducer)to the APP overexpressed-neuron cells in the brain of AD *** Fe65-engineered HT22 hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes(Fe65-EXO)loaded with Cory-B(Fe65-EXO-Cory-B)hijacked the signaling and blocked the natural interaction between Fe65 and APP,enabling APP-targeted delivery of ***,Fe65-EXO-Cory-B induced autophagy in APP-expressing neuronal cells,leading to amelioration of the cognitive decline and pathogenesis in AD mice,demonstrating the potential of Fe65-EXO-Cory-B as an effective therapeutic intervention for AD.

Wind energy witnessed tremendous growth in the past decade and emerged as the most sought renewable energy source after solar energy. Though the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT) is preferred for multi-megawatt power generation, Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) is as competitive as HAWT. The current study aims to summarize the development of VAWT, in particular, Darrieus turbine from the past to the project that is underway. The reason for the technical challenges and past failures are discussed. Various configurations of VAWT have been assessed in terms of reliability, components and low wind speed performance. Innovative concepts and the feasibility to scale up for megawatt electricity generation, especially in offshore environments are investigated. This paper is a modest attempt to highlight the state-of-the-art information on the ongoing developments focusing on decentralized power generation. This review is envisioned as an information hub for the major developments in VAWT and its technical advancements so far.
