AIM:To identify factors that influence long-term liver function following radiofrequency ablation(RFA)in patients with viral hepatitis-related hepatocellular ***:A total of 123 patients with hepatitis B virus-or hepatitis C virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(n=12 and n=111,respectively)were *** rates of worsening Child-Pugh(CP)scores(defined as a 2-point increase)were ***:CP score worsening was confirmed in 22patients over a mean follow-up period of 43.8±*** analysis identified CP class,platelet count,and aspartate aminotransferase levels as significant predictors of a worsening CP score(P=0.000,P=0.011 and P=0.024,respectively).In contrast,repeated RFA was not identified as a risk factor for liver function ***:Long-term liver function following RFA was dependent on liver functional reserve,the degreeof fibrosis present,and the activity of the hepatitis condition for this ***,in order to maintain liver function for an extended period following RFA,suppression of viral hepatitis activity is important even after the treatment of HCC.

Chronic hepatitis B infection induces progressive liver disease. Before nucleos(t)ide analogs(NUCs) became established as a safe and effective treatment for hepatitis B,it was difficult to suppress the activity of the hepatitis B virus(HBV). Currently,many patients withhepatitis or cirrhosis associated with HBV are treated with NUCs for an extended period of time,and the effects,benefits,and limitations of these treatments have been apparent. This article reviews HBV-related cirrhosis,its natural course and survival,histological improvement after NUC treatments,treatment effects for decompensated cirrhosis,the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) after NUC treatments,and the efficacy of NUC treatments before and after the treatment of patients for HBV-related HCC. Of particular interest are the histological improvements,including regression of fibrosis,that have been achieved with NUC treatments. Liver function of patients with decompensated cirrhosis has significantly improved regardless of the type of NUC applied,and treatment with NUCs has reduced the incidence of HCC in cirrhotic patients. However,cirrhosis remains the strongest risk factor for HCC occurrence following NUC treatments,and the long-term cumulative incidence of HCC after NUC treatments remains high. When recurrence does occur,it is important to reconsider the treatment modality according to the degree of improved liver function that was achieved.

Background: Miriplatin is a slow-release, lipophilic platinum complex, developed to produce a superior antitumor effect for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the miriplatin suspension is highly viscous and can form an embolism in the hepatic artery, which can result in insufficient antitumor effect. Thus, reducing the viscosity of the suspension compound by combining it with the less-viscous cisplatin suspension might reduce or even prevent vessel embolism, while providing the quick-release effects of cisplatin. Purpose: To compare the outcomes of therapy using miriplatin plus cisplatin and cisplatin monotherapy in transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for HCC. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated a total of 87 patients with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage A or B HCC who received conventional TACE using a combination of platinum agents (cisplatin and miriplatin) (n = 50) or cisplatin alone (n = 37) for the first time from September 2006 to December 2012. Short term therapeutic effect was measured by dynamic computed tomography 1 - 3 months after TACE, in reference to the modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors. Treatment-related adverse effects were graded by the National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria (ver. 4.0). 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates were calculated. Subgroup analyses were performed by Child-Pugh classification and BCLC criteria. Results: Median duration of follow-up was 35 months (range 7 - 90). Median overall survival was 38 months. Patients who had combination therapy had better 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates: 100%, 56.7%, and 26.2%, respectively, compared to monotherapy: 100%, 42.1%, and 9.0%, respectively (p = 0.034). No serious complication or treatment-related mortality was observed in both groups. Conclusion: TACE using miriplatin plus cisplatin was related to a prolonged survival, with comparable adverse effects of TACE using cisplatin alone.

Background and Aims:As practice patterns and hepatitis C virus(HCV)genotypes(GT)vary geographically,a global real-world study from both East and West covering all GTs can help inform practice policy toward the 2030 HCV elimination *** study aimed to assess the effectiveness and tolerability of DAA treatment in routine clinical practice in a multinational cohort for patients infected with all HCV GTs,focusing on GT3 and ***:We analyzed the sustained virological response(SVR12)of 15,849 chronic hepatitis C patients from 39 Real-World Evidence from the Asia Liver Consortium for HCV clinical sites in Asia Pacific,North America,and Europe between 07/01/2014–07/01/***:The mean age was 62±13 years,with 49.6%*** demographic breakdown was 91.1%Asian(52.9%Japanese,25.7%Chinese/Taiwan residents,5.4%Korean,3.3%Malaysian,and 2.9%Vietnamese),6.4%White,1.3%Hispanic/Latino,and 1%Black/***,34.8%had cirrhosis,8.6%had hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and 24.9%were treatment-experienced(20.7%with interferon,4.3%with direct-acting antivirals).The largest group was GT1(10,246[64.6%]),followed by GT2(3,686[23.2%]),GT3(1,151[7.2%]),GT6(457[2.8%]),GT4(47[0.3%]),GT5(1[0.006%]),and untyped GTs(261[1.6%]).The overall SVR12 was 96.9%,with rates over 95%for GT1/2/3/6 but 91.5%for ***12 for GT3 was 95.1%overall,98.2%for GT3a,and 94.0%for ***12 was 98.3%overall for GT6,lower for patients with cirrhosis and treatment-experienced(TE)(93.8%)but≥97.5%for tretment-naive patients regardless of cirrhosis *** multivariable analysis,advanced age,prior treatment failure,cirrhosis,active HCC,and GT3/4 were independent predictors of lower SVR12,while being Asian was a significant predictor of achieving ***:In this diverse multinational realworld cohort of patients with various GTs,the overall cure rate was 96.9%,despite large numbers of patients with cirrhosis,HCC,TE,and GT3/***12 for GT3/6 with cirrhosis and TE was lower but st

AIM： To determine the efficacy of an interferon alpha and ribavirin combination treatment for Japanese patients infected with hepatitis C virus （HCV） of genotype 2, a multi-center study was retrospectively analyzed. METHODS： In total, 173 patients with HCV genotype 2 started to receive interferon-alpha subcutaneously thrice a week and 600-800 mg of ribavirin daily for 24 wk. RESULTS： The overall sustained virological response （SVR）, defined as undetectable HCV RNA in serum, 24 wk after the end of treatment, was remarkably high by 84.4%, （146/173） by an intention-to-treat analysis. A significant difference in SVR was found between patients with and without the discontinuation of ribavirin （46.9% vs 92.9 %）, but no difference was found between those with and without a dose reduction of ribavirin. A significant difference in SVR was also found between patients with less than 16 wk and patients with 16 or more weeks of ribavirin treatment （34.8 % vs 92.0 %）. CONCLUSION： The 24-wk interferon and ribavirin treatment is highly effective for Japanese patients with HCV genotype 2. The significant predictor of SVR is continuation of the ribavirin treatment for up to 16

目前学界普遍认为,柳田国男对于作为传承资料的表演艺术,即民俗表演艺术研究,是持否定态度的。各地流传下来的歌谣、舞蹈、戏剧等表演艺术,也就是所谓的民俗表演艺术,在20世纪30年代前后开始成为民俗学的研究对象。柳田国男一开始也曾参与其中,将表演艺术看作是民间传承的研究资料,并且对其抱有关注及期待。之后,在以本田安次为代表的研究者们的努力下,战前以及战后的民俗表演艺术研究很快就取得了深层次的发展。只是这种表演艺术研究受到戏剧学(理论)的过多影响,似乎未能达到柳田国男的期许。柳田国男在表演艺术研究领域留下了诸多影响深远的著述,例如论及祭祀表演艺术的作用及功能的《日本的节日》(1942年),着眼于民间宗教者及表演艺术家的《女性的灵力》(1927年)、《巫女考》(1913—1914年)、《毛坊主(1)考》(1913—1914年)、《俗圣(2)沿革史》(1921年)等。就上述关于柳田国男对表演艺术的研究,笔者希望通过将其与几乎是同时代且同样在民俗学界举足轻重的折口信夫取得的研究进行比较,来阐明柳田国男表演艺术研究的特质,进而选取处于城市化进程中的民间表演艺术为对象,探索以民俗学的方法来进行研究的可能性。
