Nitrogen, phosphorus co-doped carbon cloth as self-standing electrode for lithium-iodine batteries

Rechargeable lithium-iodine (Li-I2) battery is a promising energy storage system because of the high energy and power density. However, the shuttle effects of iodine species and the unstable features of l2 block the practical applications of Li-I2 batteries. Herein, a dual heteroatom doped porous carbon cloth is fabricated as the host material for lithium iodide (Lil). Specifically, the self-standing nitrogen, phosphorus co-doped carb on cloth with high Lil loading exhibits a large specific capacity (221 mAh·g^-1 at 1 C), excelle nt rate capability (95.8% capacity rete ntion at 5 C) and superior I ong cycli ng stability (2,000 cycles with a capacity rete ntion of 96%). Electrochemical kin etic an alysis con firms the domi nant contribution of capacitive effects at high sean rates, which is responsible for the good high-rate performance. The improved electrochemical performance mainly stems from two unique features of nitrogen, phosphorus co-doped porous carbon cloth. Heteroatom doping provides extra active sites for strong adsorption of iodine species while the highly porous structure with large surface area favors the capacitive effects at high rates. This work provides a facile yet efficient approach to regulating both redox reaction and capacitive effects via adjusting surface composition and pore structure of carbon materials for en hanced battery performance.

High-precision Measurements of Cosmic Curvature from Gravitational Wave and Cosmic Chronometer Observations

Although the spatial curvature has been measured with very high precision,it still suffers from the well-known cosmic curvature *** this paper,we use an improved method to determine the cosmic curvature,by using the simulated data of binary neutron star mergers observed by the second generation space-based DECi-hertz Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory(DECIGO).By applying the Hubble parameter observations of cosmic chronometers to the DECIGO standard sirens,we explore different possibilities of making measurements of the cosmic curvature referring to a distant past:one is to reconstruct the Hubble parameters through the Gaussian process without the influence of hypothetical models,and the other is deriving constraints onΩkin the framework of the non-flatΛcold dark matter *** is shown that in the improved method DECIGO could provide a reliable and stringent constraint on the cosmic curvature(ΩK=-0.007±0.016),while we could only expect the zero cosmic curvature to be established at the precision ofΔΩK=0.11 in the second model-dependent ***,our results indicate that in the framework of methodology proposed in this paper,the increasing number of well-measured standard sirens in DECIGO could significantly reduce the bias of estimations for cosmic *** a constraint is also comparable to the precision of Planck 2018 results with the newest cosmic microwave background(CMB)observations(ΔΩK≈0.018),based on the concordanceΛCDM model.

目的探讨联合应用光谱核型分析技术（spectral karyotyping，SKY）和微阵列比较基因组杂交技术（microarray-based comparative genomic hybridization，array-CGH）在诊断复杂疑难的环状染色体畸变中的价值。方法对1例常规G显带染色体核型分析疑诊为46，XY，r（15）？的8岁男性生长发育迟缓患儿依次应用SKY及array-CGH技术常规进行制片杂交，并通过相应的显微摄像系统和计算机软件分析结果。结果SKY技术明确了该患儿环状染色体来源于15号染色体，array-CGH技术明确患儿15q26．3末端存在约594kb的缺失，染色体基因位点编码范围为99689349—100282878。结论联合应用现代分子细胞遗传学技术可以从细胞到分子水平精确诊断复杂疑难的环状染色体病例，是常规染色体核型分析的有益补充，也有利于细胞遗传学向分子水平深入。

Areas of the global major river plumes

River plumes are the regions where the most intense river-sea-land interaction occurs, and they are char- acterized by complex material transport and biogeochemical processes. However, due to their highly dy- namic nature, global river plume areas have not yet been determined for use in synthetic studies of global oceanography. Based on global climatological monthly averaged salinity data from the NOAA World Ocean Atlas 2009 （WOA09）, and monthly averaged salinity contour maps of the East and South China Seas from the Chinese Marine Atlas, we extract the monthly plume areas of major global rivers using a geographic information system （GIS） technique. Only areas with salinities that are three salinity units lower than the average salinity in each ocean are counted. This conservative estimate shows that the minimum and max- imum monthly values of the total plume area of the world＇s 19 largest rivers are 1.72× 106 kin2 in May and 5.38× 106 klTl2 inaugust. The annual mean area of these river plumes （3.72× 106 knl2） takes up approximately 14.2% of the total continental shelves area worldwide （26.15 × 106 km2）. This paper also presents river plume areas for different oceans and latitude zones, and analyzes seasonal variations of the plume areas and their relationships with river discharge. These statistics describing the major global river plume areas can now provide the basic data for the various flux calculations in the marginal seas, and therefore will be of useful for many oceanographic studies.

Curative effect of Xuebijing injection on severe pulmonary contusion

OBJECTIVE： To investigate the curative effects of Xuebijing （XBJ） injection, a Chinese patent medi- cine, on severe pulmonary contusion （PC）. METHODS： Sixty-three patients with PC were ran- domized to conventional therapy plus XBJ injec- tion （n=33） or conventional therapy alone （n=30）. Between groups differences in corticosteroid treat- ment, immune regulation therapy, hemofiltration, infusion volume, transfusion volume and antibiotic period were measured, as were intensive care unit（ICU）-free time, ventilation time, 28-day mortality rate and incidence of ventilation-associated pneu- monia （VAP）. Serum concentrations of procalcito- nin （PCT）, tumor necrosis factor-a （TNF-a）, interleu- kin （IL）-6, and 11_-10, white blood cell （WBC） counts and percentages of human leukocyte antigen DR/ CD14＋（HLA-DR/CD14＋） peripheral blood mononu- clear cells were compared. Markers of ventilation were determined by blood gas analysis and ventila- tor parameters. RESULTS： WBC counts and serum concentrations of PCT, TNF-a, 11.-6 and IL-10 were reduced signifi- cantly more quickly, and CD14＋ percentage was in- creased significantly earlier, in the XBJ group than in the control group （P〈0.05 each）. The level of ven- tilation and oxygenation index were ameliorated earlier in the XBJ than in the control group （P〈 0.05）. XBJ treatment significantly reduced ICU-free time, ventilation time and incidence of VAP （P〈0.05 each）, but had no effect on 28-day mortality rate （P〉0.05）. CONCLUSION： XBJ treatment can shorten ICU-free and ventilation times and reduce the incidence of VAP, improving outcomes in patients with severe PC. XBJ may act by regulating inflammation and im- munity, alleviating systemic inflammatory response syndrome induced by trauma.

本研究在青海省西宁市城郊二十里铺莫家泉湾气象站开展了完整的2年(2014和2015年)大气无机氮干沉降和混合沉降(湿沉降加部分干沉降)监测.干沉降估算通过被动采样器采集的NH_3和NO_2浓度和Geos-Chem全球化学模式模拟的气体干沉降速率相乘获得;混合沉降的测定采用雨量器.结果表明,气态NH_3和NO_2年均浓度分别为8.8μg·m-3和19.6μg·m-3,且2015年NH_3月均浓度显著高于2014年.NH_3浓度的季节变化呈现春夏高、秋冬低的特征,而NO_2浓度季节变化幅度较小.降水中NH_4^+-N和NO-3-N年均浓度为2.2 mg·L^(-1)和1.8 mg·L^(-1),秋季降水NH_4^+-N浓度比其他季节低55%,而NO-3-N浓度在秋冬季比春夏季高约26%.气态NH_3和NO_2的干沉降量分别为9.0 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1)和2.8 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1),降水中NH_4^+-N和NO-3-N的混合沉降量分别为7.6 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1)和6.2 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1).还原态氮(NH_3和NH_4^+-N)在氮沉降中占主导地位.大气氮素总沉降(干沉降加混合沉降)量为25.6 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1),为城郊农田提供重要的环境养分;但这一氮素输入量超过了陆地生态系统氮沉降临界负荷[10~20 kg·(hm^2·a)^(-1)],意味着研究区周边林地(如北山)和水体生态系统面临"氮饱和"的环境风险.

Co-seismic Faults and Geological Hazards and Incidence of Active Fault of Wenchuan Ms 8.0 Earthquake,Sichuan,China

There are two co-seismic faults which developed when the Wenchuan earthquake happened. One occurred along the active fault zone in the central Longmen Mts. and the other in the front of Longmen Mts. The length of which is more than 270 kin and about 80 km respectively. The co-seismic fault shows a reverse flexure belt with strike of N45°-60°E in the ground, which caused uplift at its northwest side and subsidence at the southeast. The fault face dips to the northwest with a dip angle ranging from 50° to 60°. The vertical offset of the co-seismic fault ranges 2.5-3.0 m along the Yingxiu- Beichuan co-seismic fault, and 1.5-1.1 m along the Doujiangyan-Hanwang fault. Movement of the coseismic fault presents obvious segmented features along the active fault zone in central Longmen Mts. For instance, in the section from Yingxiu to Leigu town, thrust without evident slip occurred; while from Beichuan to Qingchuan, thrust and dextral strike-slip take place. Main movement along the front Longmen Mts. shows thrust without slip and segmented features. The area of earthquake intensity more than IX degree and the distribution of secondary geological hazards occurred along the hanging wall of co-seismic faults, and were consistent with the area of aftershock, and its width is less than 40km from co-seismic faults in the hanging wall. The secondary geological hazards, collapses, landslides, debris flows et al., concentrated in the hanging wall of co-seismic fault within 0-20 km from co-seismic fault.

Seismic Damage Characteristics of the Wenchuan Great Earthquake on May 12,2008 and Suggestions for Disaster Prevention

The paper introduces the tectonic background, focal mechanism and distribution of aftershock of the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12,2008. The earthquake is considered to be the result of long-term interaction between the eastward movement of the Bayan Har Block and the Sichuan Basin. Most of the earthquake energy was released in an area （the seismic source body） 330kin long,52km wide and 20km deep over 100s. Energy release in the source body was extremely uneven, and strong ground motion in the epicenter area shows obvious asymmetrical character in the time and space scale. The high-intensity area is distributed along the source body, and the intensity distribution bears an obvious anomalous characteristic. The investigation results indicate that more than 90 percent of casualties caused by this earthquake were in the areas of intensity IX or above. Houses, schools and hospitals etc. suffered serious damage. Lifelines such as transportation, water conservation etc. also suffered significant damage. Besides, earthquake-triggered avalanches, landslides, mud-rock flows and so on were extremely serious. The tremendous earthquake disaster highlighted the deficiencies in disaster prevention and mitigation management, scientific earthquake research, technology and application of earthquake disaster prevention, and publicity of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction.
