Treadmill exercise in combination with acousto-optic and olfactory stimulation improves cognitive function in APP/PS1 mice through the brain-derived neurotrophic factor-and cygb-associated signaling pathways

A reduction in adult neurogenesis is associated with behavioral abnormalities in patients with Alzheimer's ***,enhancing adult neurogenesis represents a promising therapeutic approach for mitigating disease symptoms and ***,nonpharmacological interventions aimed at inducing adult neurogenesis are currently *** individual non-pharmacological interventions,such as aerobic exercise,acousto-optic stimulation,and olfactory stimulation,have shown limited capacity to improve neurogenesis and cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease,the therapeutic effect of a strategy that combines these interventions has not been fully *** this study,we observed an age-dependent decrease in adult neurogenesis and a concurrent increase in amyloid-beta accumulation in the hippocampus of amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 mice aged 2-8 *** deposition became evident at 4 months,while neurogenesis declined by 6 months,further deteriorating as the disease ***,following a 4-week multifactor stimulation protocol,which encompassed treadmill running(46 min/d,10 m/min,6 days per week),40 Hz acousto-optic stimulation(1 hour/day,6 days/week),and olfactory stimulation(1 hour/day,6 days/week),we found a significant increase in the number of newborn cells(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive cells),immature neurons(doublecortin-positive cells),newborn immature neurons(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive/doublecortin-positive cells),and newborn astrocytes(5'-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine-positive/glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells).Additionally,the amyloid-beta load in the hippocampus *** findings suggest that multifactor stimulation can enhance adult hippocampal neurogenesis and mitigate amyloid-beta neuropathology in amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 ***,cognitive abilities were improved,and depressive symptoms were alleviated in amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1 mice

Pt-based nanocatalysts offer excellent prospects for various ***,the low loading of Pt with excellent performance for efficient and stable nanocatalysts still presents a considerable *** this study,nanocatalysts with ultralow Pt content,excellent performance,and carbon black as support were prepared through in-situ ***~2-nm particles uniformly and stably dispersed on carbon black because of the strong s-p-d orbital hybridizations between carbon black and Pt,which suppressed the agglomeration of Pt *** unique structure is beneficial for the hydrogen evolution *** catalysts exhibited remarkable catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction,exhibiting a potential of 100 mV at 100 mA·cm^(-2),which is comparable to those of commercial Pt/c *** activity(1.61 A/mg)was four times that of a commercial Pt/c catalyst(0.37 A/mg).The ultralow Pt loading(6.84wt%)paves the way for the development of next-generation electrocatalysts.

Failure Modes of Lead Free Solder Bumps Formed by Induction Spontaneous Heating Reflow

The shear failure modes and respective failure mechanism of Sn3.5Ag and Sn3.0Ag0.5cu lead-free solder bumping on Au/Ni/cu metallization formed by induction spontaneous heating reflow process have been investigated through the shear test after aging at 120℃ for 0, 1, 4, 9 and 16 d. Different typical shear failure behaviors have been found in the loading curves （shear force vs displacement）. From the results of interracial morphology analysis of the fracture surfaces and cross-sections, two main typical failure modes have been identified. The probabilities of the failure modes occurrence are inconsistent when the joints were aged for different times. The evolution of the brittle NiaSn4 and cu-Ni-Au-Sn layers and the grains coarsening of the solder bulk are the basic reasons for the change of shear failure modes.

Plasmonic tandem heterojunctions enable high-efficiency charge transfer for broad spectrum photocatalytic hydrogen production

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-cdS/Mo2c@c heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the cdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-cdS （c-cdS） and hexagonal-cdS （h-cdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-cdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2c@c helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-cMc photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of cdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

Amperometric Glucose Sensor Based on Batch cuO-Modified Screen-Printed Silver-carbon Electrodes

cuO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via a two-jet electrospun method,and then screen-printed on silver-carbon electrodes,forming cuO-modified Ag-c(cuO/Ag-c)disposable strip *** natural environment condition for glucose detection,the obtained cuO/Ag-c electrodes show a high sensitivity of 540 nA·mM^(-1)·cm^(-2),and a low limit of detection(0.68 mM)in a wide linear response range of 0.68 mM and 3 mM(signal/noise=3),*** addition,the cuO/Ag-c electrodes also exhibit excellent anti-interference,air stability and *** a result,the fabrication of cuO nanoparticles via an electrospun process and the technique of screen-printed electrodes are of great significance for glucose detection.

Numerical analysis of a magnetohydrodynamic duct flow with flow channel insert under a non-uniform magnetic field

This study performs a numerical analysis of three-dimensional liquid metal(LM) magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) flows in a square duct with an FcI in a non-uniform magnetic field. The current study predicts detailed information on flow velocity, Lorentz force, pressure, current and electric potential of MHD duct flows for different Hartmann numbers. Also, the effect of the electric conductivity of FcI on the pressure drop along the main flow direction in a non-uniform magnetic field is examined. The present study investigates the features of LM MHD flows in consideration of the interdependency among the flow variables.

Analytical and Numerical Modelling of FRP Debonding from concrete Substrate under Pure Shearing

External bonding of fiber reinforced polymer （FRP） composites on the concrete structures has been proved to be an effective and efficient way to strengthen concrete structures. For a FRP strengthened concrete beam, it is usually observed that the failure occurs in the concrete and a thin layer of concrete is attached on the surface of the debonded FRP plate. To study the debond behavior between concrete and FRP composites, an analytical model based on the three-parameter model is developed to study the debonding behavior for the FRP-to-concrete joint under pure shearing. Then, nonlinear FEM analysis is conducted to verify the PrOposed analytical model. The FEM results shows good agreement with the results from the model. Finally, with the analytical model, sensitivity analyses are performed to study the effect of the interracial parameters or the ~eometric parameters on the debondin~ behavior.

cONVERGENcE OF FINITE VOLUME ScHEMES FOR HAMILTON-JAcOBI EQUATIONS WITH DIRIcHLET BOUNDARY cONDITIONS

We study numerical methods for time-dependent Hamilton-Jacobi equations with weak Dirichlet boundary conditions. We first propose a new class of abstract monotone approximation schemes and get a convergence rate of 1/2 . Then, according to the abstract convergence results, by newly constructing monotone finite volume approximations on interior and boundary points, we obtain convergent finite volume schemes for time-dependent Hamilton-Jacobi equations with weak Dirichlet boundary conditions. Finally give some numerical results.
