Ma.igna.t glioma. a.e the most deva.ta.ing tumors in clinica. pra.tice a.d na.e poorest surviva., Immunologica. trea.ment of such pa.ients ma. likely increa.e the surviva. a.d qua.ity of life. Dendritic cells （DCs）, most potent a.tigen presenting cells in combina.ion with ora. chemothera.eutic a.ents ma. be tried for pa.ients giving consent to such trea.ment. We ha.e successfully combined the two thera.ies in a. a.ult ma.e pa.ient who wa. on downhill course a.ter being opera.ed on once with post opera.ion chemothera.y a.d ra.iothera.y for glioma.in the left pa.ieta. a.ea. He received five dendritic cell thera.y va.cines in combina.ion with ora. chemothera.y a.d responded dra.a.ica.ly ha.ing nea. norma. qua.ity of life for a. a.ditiona. five months with this regime, increa.ing the surviva. a.ter opera.ion to 11 months. This thera.y is continuing with ra.iologica. betterment of the lesion. The DCs a.e ma.ured with a.tigen extra.ted from wa. embedded tissue a. 6th da. of culture. We feel tha. the trea.ment ca. be given to more number of pa.ients to esta.lish its effica.y for the drea.ed ca.cer gliobla.toma.multiforme.

Striped hyena.Hya.na.hya.na. is a.nea.-threa.ened la.ge ca.nivore known to occur in a.id a.d semi-a.id la.dsca.es in ma.y pa.ts of the world. Its popula.ion is declining globa.ly a.d ecologica. informa.ion is required urgently to meet their conserva.ion needs. We studied the diet pa.tern of the striped hyena.in the semi-a.id Gir Na.iona. Pa.k a.d Sa.ctua.y（GNPS）, western India. Prey items ea.en by the striped hyena.were identified from sca.s. a.ound 44.4% sca.s represented single to three ma.ma.ia. preys while 55.6% of them represented four preys to seven preys. a.va.iety of food items were identified including ma.ma.s, birds, insects a.d vegeta.le ma.ters. Sca.s a.a.ysis showed tha. 63.91% diet of striped hyena.wa. contributed by wild prey items, 20.94% by domestic prey a.d 3.31% by birds, wherea. vegeta.le a.d insects contributed 9.92% a.d 1.93%, respectively. Diet diversity of the striped hyena.computed by the Sha.non-Weiner Index（H） wa. found to be 2.64. The presence of domestic ma.ma.s in the sca. rema.ns implied tha. the striped hyena.might frequently visit huma. ha.ita.ion in sea.ch for food a.d hence, a.potentia. conflict between huma. a.d wildlife might a.ise. Reducing the dependence of hyena.on domestic livestock is a.cha.lenge to ensure the surviva. of striped hyena.outside the protected a.ea.

The studies on wa.ped product ma.ifolds with extrinsic geometric point of view were intensified a.ter the B.Y. Chen＇s work on CR-wa.ped product subma.ifolds of Ka.hler ma.ifolds （cf. [6], [7]）. La.er on, simila. studies were ca.ried out in the setting of 1.c.K. ma.ifolds a.d nea.ly Ka.hler ma.ifolds （el. [3], [11]）. In the present a.ticle, we investiga.e a.la.ger cla.s of wa.ped product subma.ifolds of 1.c.K. ma.ifolds, ensure their existence by constructing a. exa.ple of such ma.ifolds a.d obta.n some importa.t properties of these subma.ifolds. With rega.d to the CR-wa.ped product subma.ifold, a.specia. ca.e of generic wa.ped product subma.ifolds, we obta.n a.cha.a.teriza.ion under which a.CR-subma.ifold is reducesd to a.CR-wa.ped product subma.ifold.

Crop performa.ce on degra.ed soil needs specia. ma.a.ement pra.tices to overcome soil qua.ity limita.ions. In a.2-yea.(from summer 2006 to winter 2007–2008) field tria. on a.modera.ely degra.ed a.fisol in Swa.i District(34°7′12′′N, 72°28′20′′E), Pa.ista.,the effects of three cropping pa.terns, cerea.-cerea.(CC), cerea.-legume(CL), a.d cerea.-cerea. a.d legume intercrop(CLI), were tested in ma.n plots under four fertiliza.ion trea.ments in sub-plots, including no fertiliza.ion(control), fa.mers' pra.tice(FP, 60:45 kg ha.(-1) N:P_2O_5), recommended dose(RD, 120:90:60 kg ha.(-1) N:P_2O_5:K_2O), a.d integra.ed nutrient ma.a.ement(INM, 20 t ha.(-1) fa.mya.d ma.ure integra.ed with 50% N, 100% P, a.d K of recommended dose), using a.split-plot ra.domized complete block design. The performa.ce of CL wa. superior tha. CC in pla.t height, lea. a.ea.index(La.), cob length, gra.n yield, biologica. yield, a.d gra.n protein(8%, 26%, 8%, 5%, 10%, a.d 8% increa.es, respectively), while CLI confirmed significa.t improvement only in La.(25%) over CC. Response to nutrient inputs from a.l sources wa. in the order of INM > RD > FP > control, a.d the ma.imum net economic return by INM(23% a.d 2.5 times higher tha. RD a.d FP, respectively) indica.ed severe deficiency of both ma.ro-a.d micro-nutrients in the soil a. well a. degra.ed physica. properties. Increa.es in soil orga.ic ma.ter, tota. N, tota. minera. N, a.a.la.le P a.d K, tota. porosity, a.d a.a.la.le wa.er-holding ca.a.ity by 6%, 34%, 24%, 50%, 13%, 5%, a.d 7%, respectively, a.d decrea.e in soil bulk density by 4% a.ter four crop sea.ons indica.ed optimistic cha.ges in soil qua.ity a. a.result of the combined effects of fertiliza.ion from orga.ic a.d inorga.ic sources a.d legumes within crop rota.ion.
