The testicular prosthesis can be an afterthought for providers when performing an orchiectomy for testicular cancer,torsion,atrophic testis,or ***,data suggest that patients find the offer of a testicular prosthesis and counseling regarding placement to be extremely important from both a pragmatic and a psychosocial *** two-thirds of men undergoing orchiectomy are offered an implant at the time of orchiectomy and of those offered about one-third move forward with prosthesis *** relatively low acceptance rate is in stark contrast with high patient satisfaction and low complication rates for those who undergo the *** most common postoperative patient concerns are minor and involve implant positioning,size,and ***,we provide an up-to-date review of modern preoperative evaluation,patient selection,expectation management,surgical technique,and expected outcomes for testicular prostheses.

Non-edible oils obtained from chosen non-conventional woody plants are considered as potential raw materials for biodiesel *** plants mostly grow in *** characteristics of these oils as raw material are very much in tune with the properties of biodiesel such as long-chain hydrocarbon,having an adequate level of unsaturation with branched *** primary methods are being followed to make biodiesel from vegetable *** are direct use through blending,microemulsion,thermal cracking(pyrolysis)and ***-edible oil would eliminate the issue of food vs *** biodiesel manufactured from oils of woody plants may partially reduce the demand for liquid-fuel energy and addresses the environmental consequences of using fossil *** from a total of 17 species of woody plants(Angiosperms)belonging to 14 families are considered in this *** habit,habitat and geographical distribution of each species are also *** physico-chemical properties of their oil,with special reference to the fatty-acid profile that ultimately decides the characteristics of the biodiesel prepared from them,are reviewed.

Objective:To identify the sandfly fauna and analyze ecology of sandfly vector(s)of visceral leishmaniasis in three districts of Somali Regional State,southeast ***:Sandflies were collected from four sampling habitats,including indoor,peri-domestic,farm field and mixed forest using light and sticky traps in July 2016,and February and April 2017 in Liben and Dawa zones in the Somali Regional State,southeastern ***:In total,4367 sandfly specimens,belonging to 12 species(three Phlebotomus *** nine Sergentomyia spp.)were ***(P.)heischi,***,and *** constituted 45.7%,31.1%,and 23.1%of the sandfly collection,*** were significant differences in the median number of ***,and *** captured per CDC trap/night between the three sampling districts(P<0.05).In light trap capture,collection habitats had significant effects on the abundance of ***,and ***(P<0.05).More median numbers of ***,and *** species were collected in agricultural fields followed by mixed forest and peri-domestic *** and *** were caught more in outdoor than indoor habitats,suggesting exophilic ***:The study demonstrated that the presence of *** and *** are probable vectors of visceral leishmaniasis in this new *** findings of our study will improve the understanding of the dynamics of visceral leishmaniasis transmission and will facilitate the implementation of integrated disease control measures based on ecological knowledge of visceral leishmaniasis vector in Liben and Dawa zones and its surrounding regions.

We studied the habitat use of mountain nyala Tragelaphus buxtoni in the northern edge of the Bale Mountains Na- tional Park, Ethiopia. The aims of this study were to：（1） measure and quantify habitat-specific stem bite diameters of mountain nyala foraging on common natural plant species in two major habitat types （i.e. grasslands versus woodlands）, and （2） quantify the bite rates （number of bites per minute） and the activity time budgets of mountain nyala as functions of habitat type and sex-age category. We randomly laid out three transects in each habitat type. Following each transect, through focal animal obser- vations, we assessed and quantified stem diameters at point of browse （dpb）, bite rates, and time budgets of mountain nyala in grasslands versus woodlands. Stem dpb provide a measure of natural giving-up densities （GUDs） and can be used to assess fora- ging costs and efficiencies, with greater stem dpb corresponding to lower costs and greater efficiencies. The results showed that stem dpb, bite rates, induced vigilance, and proportion of time spent in feeding differed between habitats. In particular, mountain nyala had greater stem dpb, higher bite rates, and spent a greater proportion of their time in feeding and less in induced vigilance in the grasslands. In addition, adult females had the highest bite rates, and the browse species Solanum marginatum had the greatest stem dpb. Generally, grasslands provide the mountain nyala with several advantages over the woodlands, including of- fering lower foraging costs, greater safety, and more time for foraging. The study advocates how behavioural indicators and natural GUDs are used to examine the habitat use of the endangered mountain nyala through applying non-invasive techniques. We conclude that the resulting measures are helpful for guiding conservation and management efforts and could be applicable to a number of endangered wildlife species including the mountain nyala .

Rare earth doped upconversion nanoparticles can be considered as the spice of research in the field of luminescence nanomaterials due to their unique optical properties such as near-infrared *** works have been reported about biomedical applications of 980 nm excited and Yb^3+-sensitized upconversion ***,980 nm excitation wavelength overlaps with the absorption band of water molecules in the biological environment,leading to overheating effect that can induce thermal damages of normal cells and ***,Nd^3+-sensitized upconversion nanoparticles which can be excited with 808 nm has been widely investigated as alternative nanoparticles that can surmount this issue of overheating *** though Nd^3+-sensitized upconversion nanoparticles can reduce the overheating effect by 20 fold as compared to Yb^3+-sensitized counterpart,there are several factors that reduce the upconversion luminescence *** this review article,photon energy harvesting and transferring mechanisms in Nd^3+,Yb^3+and emitter ions co-doped upconversion nanoparticles under 808 nm excitation are briefly *** that affect upconversion luminescence intensity and quantum yield of Nd^3+-sensitized upconversion nanoparticles are also ***,some of the important strategies that have been recently utilized to boost upconversion luminescence intensity of Nd^3+sensitized upco nversion nanoparticles are tho roughly ***,the future challenges in the area and our perspectives are in sight.
