Background:To compare two swept-source optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)biometers,IOLMaster 700 and ***:This is a retrospective *** measurements of cataract patients performed between March and July 2021 in the Department of Ophthalmology,United Christian Hospital,Hong kong,were *** scheduled for cataract surgery were measured with both SS-OCT devices on the same *** following biometry parameters were compared:keratometry(k),total keratometry(Tk),axial length(AL),central corneal thickness(CCT),anterior chamber depth(ACD),lens thickness(LT),white-to-white(WTW)and the predicted intraocular lens(IOL)power to achieve *** assess the agreement between the devices,Bland-Altman analysis with 95%limits of agreement(LoA)were ***:In total,92 eyes of 47 subjects were measured with both *** were statistically significant differences between the two biometers for most measurements(Pk,AL and IOL power when using the right eyes for *** the left eyes,there were statistically significant differences in the measurements from the two biometers in all parameters except for flat and steep *** ANTERION did not obtain ACD,AL and LT in 2(2.17%),1(1.09%)and 5 cases(5.43%)***:The two biometers showed a clinically acceptable agreement in most *** showed significant differences in most parameters but not clinically relevant except for the Tk and WTW,and these two parameters should not be used interchangeably between the devices.

The mechanism of urea's action in protein denaturation remains largely *** provide an experimental basis for molecular dynamics(MD)simulations on urea-protein interactions,we investigated the effect of urea on human intestinal fatty acid binding protein(hIFABP)by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR).Hydrogen-deuterium exchange(HDX)rates at2 M urea indicate that urea affects hIFABP in a residue-specific manner via direct urea-protein interactions and preferentially weakens hydrogen bonds between highly protected ***-specific effects of urea on NMR peak intensities and chemical shifts further support the presence of direct urea-protein ***(2D)water-rotating frame Overhauser enhancement(ROE)data shows one protein-bound water molecule in contact with Val66 and Trp82,one putative bound water molecule in interaction with Thr76 and E-F loop,and that urea at low concentrations cannot displace these protein-bound water *** urea-nuclear Overhauser effect(NOE)experiments using 15N-urea further show no tightly protein-bound urea *** results thus suggest specific,but weak or transient,urea-protein interactions,supporting the direct interaction model of urea denaturation.

omprehensive Summary,Polymetallaynes are a promising branch of metallopolymers,in which the introduction of metal building blocks to organic conjugated backbones leads to their unique skeletons and versatile ***,the chemical structures,geometric configurations and functional properties in these organometallic systems can be adjusted flexibly by the appropriate selection of metal centers,auxiliary ligands,or bridging *** recent years,both one-dimensional and two-dimensional polymetallaynes have attracted considerable attention owing to their excellent electronic,optical and magnetic ***,the studies on molecular metallaynes provide substantial insights for the exploration of the structure-property-activity relationships in these organometallic acetylide-containing *** recent research progress of polymeric and molecular metallaynes containing platinum,mercury and gold is discussed in this article.A series of functional properties have been realized in these acetylide-containing compounds by the rational structural design and refined synthetic strategies,leading to their emerging applications including energy conversion,nonlinear optics,data storage and memory,as well as chemo/biosensing.

This is the second part of a two-part paper on stability study of data center power systems by impedance-based *** the basis for this application,Part I[1]developed new impedance models for power supplies that are the most dominant loads in data *** second part presents system modeling and analysis methods that can support practical data center power system design to ensure *** proposed methods comprise:1)building distribution network modeling by impedance scaling;2)system modeling and model reduction based on equivalent source impedance;3)system stability analysis in the sequence domain to include zero-sequence dynamics;and 4)expansion of system models and analyses to account for network asymmetry and uneven *** methods are used to characterize practical resonance problems observed in data centers,explain their root causes,and develop *** systems using y-connected power supply units(PSUs),the zero sequence is identified as the weakest link and the first to become *** expanded system model and analysis reveal a new,differential-mode instability that is responsible for high frequency *** guarantee system stability,new impedance-based product and system design specifications are developed based on sufficient conditions derived from the Nyquist stability *** and field measurements are presented to substantiate the proposed methods and conclusions.

Edible bird＇s nest （EBN） is derived from the saliva of certain types of swiflets. It is consumed in many parts of the world for its nutritional and medicinal values. Although many claims have been made on the therapeutic and health- promoting effects of EBN, scientific documentations regarding these effects are very limited in published literature. It is not until recently that the biological effects of EBN are being investigated and evidence-based studies are being conducted. Several studies have found that EBN may enhance cell proliferation and differentiation and various beneficial effects have been reported in vitro as well as in vivo. While these studies point towards the potential use of EBN in the treatment or even prevention of several diseases, the mechanisms of action of EBN remain largely unknown and more explorations are needed. This review is one of the very few scientific reviews onEBN which focuses on recent evidence-based discoveries.
