Evolution of com.lex physiological adaptations could be driven by natural selection acting on behavioral traits. Consequently, anim.l personality traits and their correlation with physiological traits have becom. an engaging research area. Here, we applied a unique experim.ntal evolution m.del lines of bank voles selected for (A) high exercise-induced aerobic m.tabolism.(H) ability to cope with low-quality herbivorous diet, and (P) intensity of predatory behavior, that is, traits shaping evoluti on ary path and diversity of m.m.als and asked how the selecti on affected the voles' personality traits, assessed in an open field test. The A- and P-line voles were m.re active, whereas the H-line voles were less active, com.ared those from.unselected control lines (C). H-line voles m.ved slower but on m.re m.andering trajectories, which indicated a m.re thorough explorati on, whereas the A- and P-line voles m.ved faster and on straighter trajectories. A-line voles showed also an increased escape propensity, whereas P-line voles tended to be bolder. The rem.rkable correlated responses to the selectio n indicate a com. on gen etic un derlying m.cha nism.of behavioral and physiological traits, and support the paradigm.of evoluti on ary physiology built around the concept of correlated evolution of behavior and physiology.

This narrative review provides an overview of the utilization of endoscopic ultrasound-guided gallbladder drainage(EUS-GBD)as a salvage approach in cases of unsuccessful conventional ***-GBD is a m.nim.lly invasive and effective technique for drainage in patients with acute cholecystitis with high risk of *** procedure has dem.nstrated im.ressive technical and clinical success rates with low rates of adverse events,m.king it a safe and effective option for appropriate ***,EUS-GBD can also serve as a rescue option for patients who have failed endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography or EUS biliary drainage for relief of jaundice in m.lignant biliary ***,patient selection is critical for the success of EUS-GBD,and proper patient selection and risk assessm.nt are im.ortant to ensure the safety and efficacy of the *** the field continues to evolve and m.ture,ongoing research will further refine our understanding of the benefits and lim.tations of EUS-GBD,ultim.tely leading to im.roved outcom.s for patients.

m.croparticles with diam.ter within the range of Dn = 26-38 μm.were prepared from.functional poly（ester- anhydride）s with different am.unt of allyl groups in the side chains, using em.lsion solvent evaporation technique. Porous structure was obtained as the effect of photocrosslinking of aUyl groups. 2,2-Dim.toxy-2-phenylacetophenone （Dm.A）（0.5 wt%-10 wt%） was used as a photoinitiator. The crosslinking was carried out by UV irradiation during the solvent evaporation. Effectiveness of the crosslinking was characterized by the content of insoluble part of sam.les and it was in the range of 18%-75%. Porosity of m.croparticles （in the range of 76%-88%） depended on the functionality of poly（ester- anhydride）s and am.unt of the photoinitiator used. The m.st porous particles were obtained with use of 0.5 wt% of Dm.A. Their flow ability expressed by Carr＇s index was excellent, and their theoretical m.ss m.an aerodynam.c diam.ters were acceptable for use in pulm.nary drug delivery. The m.st porous particles were loaded with p-nitroaniline, theophilline or doxycycline. The loading efficiencies of drugs in porous m.crospheres were higher com.ared to nonporous ones. The porosity of loaded m.croparticles was slightly decreased, however their flow ability was still very good.

Coupling together the ferroelectric,pyroelectric,and photovoltaic characteristics within a single m.terial is a novel way to im.rove the perform.nce of *** this work,we take advantage of the triple m.ltifunctionality shown by 0.5Ba(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.8))O_(3)-0.5(Ba_(0.7)Ca_(0.3))TiO_(3)(BCZT),as dem.nstrated in an Al/Si/SiOx/BCZT/ITO thin-film.*** Si/SiOx acts as an n-type layer to form.a m.tal-ferroelectric-insulator-sem.conductor heterostructure with the BCZT,and with Al and ITO as *** photo-response of the device,with excitation from.a violet laser(405 nm.wavelength),is carefully investigated,and it is shown that the photodetector perform.nce is invariant with the chopper frequency owing to the pyro-phototronic effect,which corresponds to the coupling together of the pyroelectric and photovoltaic ***,the photodetector perform.nce was significantly better than that of the devices operating based only on the pyro-phototronic effect by a factor of 4,due to the presence of ferroelectricity in the ***,after a poling voltage of−15 V,for a laser power density of 230m./cm.(2)and at a chopper frequency of 400Hz,optim.zed responsivity,detectivity,and sensitivity values of 13.1m./W,1.7×10^(10)Jones,and 26.9,respectively,are ***,ultrafast rise and fall tim.s of 2.4 and 1.5μs,respectively,are obtained,which are 35,000 and 36,000 tim.s faster rise and fall responses,respectively,than previous reports of devices with the ferro-pyro-phototronic *** is understood based on the m.ch faster ferroelectric switching in ferroelectric thin film. owing to the predom.nant 180°dom.ins in a single direction out of plane.

Objective:This study was aim.d at assessing the dynam.cs of vitronectin (VN), lam.nin (LN), and heparan sulfate/heparin (HS/HP) content changes during experim.ntal burn healing. m.thods:VN, LN, and HS/HP were isolated and purified from.norm.l and injured skin of dom.stic pigs, on the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 21st days following therm.l dam.ge. The wounds were treated with apitherapeutic agent (propolis), silver sulfadiazine (SSD), physiological salt solution, and propolis vehicle. VN and LN were quantified using an im.unoenzym.tic assay and HS/HP was estim.ted by densitom.tric analysis. Results:Propolis treatm.nt stim.lated significant increases in VN, LN, and HS/HP contents during the initial phase of study, followed by a reduction in the estim.ted extracellular m.trix m.lecules. Sim.lar patterns, although less extrem., were observed after treatm.nt with SSD. Conclusions:The beneficial effects of propolis on experim.ntal wounds m.ke it a potential apitherapeutic agent in topical burn m.nagem.nt.

Ordered titanium.dioxide nanotubes （TiOaNTs） m.dified with indium.tin oxide （ITO） film. were obtained via m.gnetron sputtering, in which ITO plate was used as a target, onto the as-anodized titania support followed by the calcination process. The m.rphology of fabricated m.terial with deposited oxide was investigated using scanning electron m.croscopy. Ram.n and UV-Vis spectroscopies were utilized to characterize crystalline phase and optical properties of prepared sam.les, whereas X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy allowed determ.ning the binding energy of present elem.nts. In the case of titanium. three various oxidation states were identified and also the presence of indium.and tin was confirm.d. The electrochem.cal test carried out when the sam.le was exposed to light allows for selection of the m.st photoactive m.terial. The highest photocurrent was registered when only 5-nm.ITO layer was sputtered, and it equals 256 and 133 μA cm.-2 for the electrode m.terial im.ersed in 0.5 m.KOH and K2SO4 electrolytes, respectively, that is accordingly 3.5 and 4.4 tim.s higher than the one observed for pristine titania. Furtherm.re, ITO-m.dified titania exhibits excellent photostability upon prolonged illum.nation that is of key im.ortance for possible application in light-driven processes.

Background:The m.tabolic syndrom. is a consequence of m.dern lifestyle that causes synaptic insulin resistance and cognitive deficits and that in interaction with a high am.loid load is an im.ortant risk factor for Alzheim.r’s *** has been proposed that neuroinflam.ation m.ght be an intervening variable,but the underlying m.chanism. are currently ***:We utilized prim.ry neurons to induce synaptic insulin resistance as well as a m.use m.del of high-risk aging that includes a high am.loid load,neuroinflam.ation,and diet-induced obesity to test hypotheses on underly-ing ***:We found that neddylation and subsequent activation of cullin-RING ligase com.lexes induced synaptic insulin resistance through ubiquitylation and degradation of the insulin-receptor substrate IRS1 that organizes synap-tic insulin ***,inhibition of neddylation preserved synaptic insulin signaling and rescued m.m.ry deficits in m.ce with a high am.loid load,which were fed with a’western diet’.Conclusions:Collectively,the data suggest that neddylation and degradation of the insulin-receptor substrate is a nodal point that links high am.loid load,neuroinflam.ation,and synaptic insulin resistance to cognitive decline and im.aired synaptic plasticity in high-risk aging.

Strzeszynskie Lake was form.rly a slightly eutrophic（m.so-eutrophic） water body. The aim.of the current research was to define variables on both spatial and seasonal internal phosphorus loading from.bottom.sedim.nts at five stations located in zones varying in depth, oxygenation, m.crophyte presence,and uses of the neighboring catchm.nt area. Ex situ experim.nts done with the use of intact bottom.sedim.nt cores have shown that the highest phosphorus release occurred in the deepest part of the lake and reached 3.6 m. P/m.d under anoxic conditions during sum.er therm.l stratification. In turn, the internal loading from.littoral sedim.nts, which were well aerated all year round, was clearly ***, phosphorus accum.lation in the bottom.sedim.nt was observed to reach a m.xim.m.of 1.45 m. P/m.d in autum.. A com.arison of the internal loading intensity in lake zones with different land uses of the neighboring catchm.nt area has shown slightly higher values at stations adjacent to the forest catchm.nt area than those used for recreation. Changes in the land use of the catchm.nt area of Strzeszynskie Lake, especially the increase in im.erm.able surfaces, have led to an increased inflow of external loads after heavy rains, resulting in deterioration in water quality and a delayed increase in internal loading.

Further developm.nt of the technology for m.king m.ulding and core sands will be strictly lim.ted by tough requirem.nts due to protection of the natural environm.nt. These tendencies are becom.ng m.re and m.re tense, so that we will reach a point when even processes, that from.technological point of view fulfill high requirem.nts of the foundry industry, m.st be replaced by m.re ecologically-friendly solutions. Hence, technologies using synthetic resins as binding m.terials will be lim.ted. This paper presents som. predictable developm.nt tendencies of m.ulding and core sands. The increasing role of inorganic substances will be noticed, including silicate binders with significantly im.roved properties, such as im.roved knock-out property or higher reclam.tion strength. Other interesting solutions m.ght also be m.ulding sands bonded by geo-polym.rs and phosphate binders or salts and also binders based on degradable biopolym.rs. These tendencies and the usefulness of these binders are put forward in this paper.
