A combined geophysical and lithological study on eruptive history and Quaternary lacustrine stratigraphy of a maar in Leizhou Peninsula, China

As the second common type of volcanic vent on Earth, maar-diatreme volcanoes and their post-eruptive lacustrine sediments are a main focus of volcanology, palaeolimnology, palaeoclimatology and palaeontology. A number of maar-type volcanoes have been found in Leizhou Peninsula, South China, but little is known about their eruption processes and detailed stratigraphy of the post-eruptive sediments. We present a combined geophysical and geological analysis to study the eruptive history and post-eruptive sediment stratigraphy of a large maar, the elliptical(1.8 × 3.0 km^(2)) Jiudouyang(JDY) maar. The lacustrine stratigraphy revealed by drilling cores shows that the JDY maar lake has three major stages of evolution:(i) deep-lake sedimentary environment characterized by high autochthonous diatom productivity;(ii) shallow lake to swamp with very low water levels, characterized by a high total organic carbon(TOC) and abundant wood fragments;and,(iii) intermittent shallow lake and alluvial deposits composed of clay minerals and sand. The electrical resistivity tomography(ERT) values and lithological features are highly consistent, which clearly reveal the presence of ca. 50 m thick lacustrine sediments, directly underlain by a ca. 70 m thick basaltic lava rather than diatreme breccia in the crater. This infill sequence implies an alternation of eruption style from phreatomagmatic to Strombolian and/or lava flow, due to high magma flux and ascent rate of the Hainan Plume during the middle Pleistocene. The ERT data also reveal the initial phreatomagmatic crater floor at ca. 120 m depth. The initial crater had a large diameter/depth ratio(ca. 17), with an elongated shape(major axis to minor axis = 0.6), implying possible lateral vent migration during the eruption. Sodium-ion batteries （SIBs） with organic electrodes are an emerging research direction due to the sustainability of organic materials based on elements like C,H,O,and sodium ***,organic electrode materials for SIBs are mainly used as cathodes because of their relatively high redox potentials（>1 V）.Organic electrodes with low redox potential that can be used as anode are ***,a novel organic anode material （tetrasodium 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylate,Na4TDC） has been developed with low redox potential （<0.7 V） and excellent cyclic *** three-sodium storage mechanism was demonstrated with various in-situ/ex-situ spectroscopy and theoretical calculations,showing a high capacity of 208 mAh/g and an average decay rate of merely 0.022%per ***,the Na4TDC-hard carbon composite can further acquire improved capacity and cycling stability for 1200 cycles even with a high mass loading of up to 20 mg *** pairing with a thick Na3V2（PO4）3cathode (20.6 mg cm-2),the as-fabricated full cell exhibited high operating voltage （2.8 V）,excellent rate performance and cycling stability with a high capacity retention of 88.7% after 200 cycles,well highlighting the Na4TDC anode material for SIBs.

Non-volatile memory-based computing-in-memory (nvCIM) paradigm has been extensively studied to boost the energy efficiency of neural network accelerators in edge ***,the degradation of inference accuracy induced by the non-ideal characteristics across circuits,arrays,and devices is becoming a crucial *** this work,we establish a hardware characteristic behavior model to analyze the impact of nvCIM non-ideal characteristics on neural network *** we propose a hardware aware training and weight mapping correction methods to mitigate inference accuracy *** simulation verification,about 95%inference accuracy degradation is recovered by adopting the proposed mitigation method for various non-ideal characteristics and various neural network *** feasibility of the proposed method is further proved in an experimental example with a flash-based LeNet recognition system.

Recent research has demonstrated the impact of physical activity on the prognosis of glioma patients,with evidence suggesting exercise may reduce mortality risks and aid neural *** role of the small ubiquitin-like modifier(SUMO)protein,especially post-exercise,in cancer progression,is gaining attention,as are the potential anti-cancer effects of *** used machine learning to create the exercise and SUMO-related gene signature(ESLRS).This signature shows how physical activity might help improve the outlook for low-grade glioma and other *** demonstrated the prognostic and immunotherapeutic significance of ESLRS markers,specifically highlighting how murine double minute 2(MDM2),a component of the ESLRS,can be targeted by *** underscores the intricate relationship between natural compounds such as nutlin-3 and immune *** comprehensive CRISPR screening,we validated the effects of specific ESLRS genes on low-grade glioma *** also revealed insights into the effectiveness of Nutlin-3a as a potent MDM2 inhibitor through molecular docking and dynamic ***-3a inhibited glioma cell proliferation and activated the p53 *** efficacy decreased with MDM2 overexpression,and this was reversed by Nutlin-3a or *** using a low-grade glioma mouse model highlighted the effect of physical activity on oxidative stress and molecular pathway ***,both physical exercise and Nutlin-3a administration improved physical function in mice bearing tumors derived from MDM2-overexpressing *** results suggest the potential for Nutlin-3a,an MDM2 inhibitor,with physical exercise as a therapeutic approach for glioma *** research also supports the use of natural products for therapy and sheds light on the interaction of exercise,natural products,and immune regulation in cancer treatment.

Background:Immune checkpoint inhibitors play an important role in the treatment of solid tumors, but the currently used immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1), and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) show limited clinical efficacy in many breast cancers. B7H3 has been widely reported as an immunosuppressive molecule, but its immunological function in breast cancer patients remains unclear.Methods:We analyzed the expression of B7H3 in breast cancer samples using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas Program (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. MicroRNAs were selected using the TarBase, miRTarBase, and miRBase databases. The regulatory role of the microRNA hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was investigated through dual-luciferase reporter assays, which identified the specific action sites of interaction. The expression levels of B7H3 and hsa-miR-214-3p in human breast cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were quantified using Western blotting and quantitative PCR (qPCR). experiments were performed to observe the effects of modulating the expression of B7H3 or hsa-miR-214-3p on breast cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis. Additionally, the regulatory impact of hsa-miR-214-3p on B7H3 was examined. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and flow cytometry were employed to assess the effects of co-cultured breast cancer cells and normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) on immune cells and associated cytokines.Results:In breast cancer tissues, the expression level of B7H3 is inversely correlated with that of hsa-miR-214-3p, as well as with the regulatory effects on breast cancercell behavior. Hsa-miR-214-3p was found to inhibit breast cancer cell growth by downregulating B7H3. Effect of compression direction on the dynamic recrystallization behavior of continuous columnar-grained CuNi10Fe1Mn alloy

The dynamic recrystallization（DRX） behavior of continuous columnar-grained（CCG） Cu Ni10Fe1 Mn alloy was investigated by hot compression along the solidification direction（SD） and perpendicular to the solidification direction（PD）. Specimens were compressed to a true strain of 0.8 at temperatures ranging from 25°C to 900°C and strain rates ranging from 0.01 to 10 s-1. The results indicate that DRX nucleation at grain boundaries（GBs） and DRX nucleation at slip bands（SBs） are the two main nucleation modes. For SD specimens, C-shaped bending and zig-zagging of the GBs occurred during hot compression, which made DRX nucleation at the GBs easier than that at the SBs. When ln Z ≤ 37.4（Z is the Zener–Hollomon parameter）, DRX can occur in SD specimens with a critical temperature for the DRX onset of;50°C and a thermal activated energy（Q） of 313.5 k J·mol-1. In contrast, in PD specimens, the GBs remained straight, and DRX nucleation occurred preferentially at the SBs. For PD specimens, the critical temperature is about 700°C, Q is 351.7 k J·mol-1, and the occurrence condition of DRX is ln Z ≤ 40.1. The zig-zagging of GB morphology can significantly reduce the nucleation energy at the GBs; as a result, DRX nucleation occurs more easily in SD specimens than in PD specimens.

Study on the Bubble Growth and Departure with A Lattice Boltzmann Method

For the growth and departure of bubbles from an orifice, a free energy lattice Boltzmann model is adopted to deal with this complex multiphase flow phenomenon. A virtual layer is set at the boundary of the flow domain to deal with the no-slip boundary condition. Effects of the viscosity, surface tension, gas inertial force and buoyancy on the characteristics of bubbles when they grow and departure from an orifice in quiescent liquid are studied. The releasing period and departure diameter of the bubble are influenced by the residual gas at the orifice, and the interaction between bubbles is taken into consideration. The relations between the releasing period or departure diameter and the gravity acceleration show fair agreements with previous numerical and theoretical results. And the influence of the gas outflow velocity on bubble formation is discussed as well. For the bubbles growing in cross-flow field, effects of the cross-flow speed and the gas outflow velocity on the bubble formation are discussed, which is related to the application in ship resistance reduction. And optimal choice of the ship speed and gas outflow velocity is studied. Cases in this paper also prove that this high density ratio LBM model has its flexibility and effectiveness on multiphase flow simulations.

钢管混凝土系杆拱桥在各类桥梁工程中应用广泛,具有刚度大、跨越能力强、造型优美等优点。传统支架设计中,经过预应力张拉后,系梁与支架能够共同承担施加的荷载,其中荷载包括拱肋支架自重和钢管混凝土自身重力。利用Midas/Civil软件对盘扣式支架-系杆拱和支架-梁柱建立三维有限元模型,研究其在不同施工荷载作用下支架-梁柱和支架-系杆拱的受力特性和变形趋势,总结了在施工后期工况中支架的荷载分布规律,相关研究结论可为实际桥梁工程提供参考。
