Solar energy is a widely used type of renewable *** arrays are used to harvest solar *** major goal,in harvesting the maximum possible power,is to operate the system at its maximum power point(MPP).If the irradiation conditions are uniform,the P-V curve of the PV array has only one peak that is called its *** when the irradiation conditions are non-uniform,the P-V curve has multiple *** peak represents an MPP for a specific irradiation *** highest of all the peaks is called Global Maximum Power Point(GMPP).Under uniform irradiation conditions,there is zero or no partial *** the changing irradiance causes a shading effect which is called Partial *** conventional and soft computing techniques have been in use to harvest solar *** techniques perform well under uniform and weak shading conditions but fail when shading conditions are *** this paper,a new method is proposed which uses Machine Learning based algorithm called Opposition-Based-Learning(OBL)to deal with partial shading *** studies on different cases of partial shading have proven this technique effective in attaining MPP.

Dynamic Stability Improvement of Decentralized Wind Farms by Effective Distribution Static Compensator

Dynamic instability of decentralized wind energy farms is a major issue to deliver continuous green energy to electricity *** instability is caused by variations of voltage and frequency parameters due to intermittencies in wind ***,droop control and inverter-based schemes have been proposed to regulate the voltage by balancing reactive power,while inertial control,digital mapping tech-nique of proportional-integral-differential(PID)controller and efficiency control strategy have been developed to regulate the *** this paper,voltage stability is improved by a new joint strategy of distribution static compensator(DSTATCOM)six-pulse controller based reactive power management among decentralized wind turbines and controlled charging of capacitor *** frequency stability is ensured by a joint coordinated utilization of capacitor bank and distributed wind power turbines dispatching through a new DSTATCOM six-pulse controller *** both strategies,power grid is contributed as a backup source with less *** new joint strategies for voltage and frequency stabilities will enhance the stable active power delivery to end users.A system test case is developed to verify the proposed joint *** test results of the proposed new schemes are proved to be effective in terms of stability improvement of voltage,frequency and active power generation.

Biochars reduce irrigation water sodium adsorption ratio

Irrigation water quality plays a vital role in sustaining crop productivity and feeding a growing world *** many countries,continued agricultural water reuse can lead to greater water-soluble salt concentrations,and in particular Na;finding means by which irrigation water Na,and thus sodium adsorption ratios(SAR),can be reduced would reduce the rate at which soil sodification *** biochars,containing a variety of organic functional groups and electrochemistries,were examined for their potential to sorb and remove Na from simulated irrigation water,and subsequently reduce water *** batch experiments examined the role that wheat straw biochar,lodgepole pine biochar,Kentucky bluegrass biochar,and hemp biochar played in terms of sorbing sodium over time or application *** the four biochars examined,hemp biochar had the lowest oxidation-reduction potential(ORP;~0-100 mV),sorbed the greatest Na amount(up to 923 mg kg^(−1)),and released Ca and Mg(up to 115 and 63 mg kg^(−1),respectively)into solution,all of which led to a significant reduction in water SAR(from 8.8 to 7.3;17% decrease).Sodium sorption onto hemp biochar better fit a Langmuir versus a Freundlich isotherm,yet followed a pseudo-second-order model better than a pseudo-first-order kinetic *** data suggest that Na ions formed a monolayer on the hemp biochar surface,influenced by associations withπelectrons,but given time the Na ions may diffuse into biochar pores or more slowly interact with biochar-borneπ*** biochar shows promise in reducing the SAR of Na-impacted *** investigations should focus on additional laboratory,greenhouse,and field trials with hemp biochar and other biochars designed to have similar or superior properties for sorbing excess irrigation water Na and improving crop growth.

Objective:To assess the pharmaceutical quality of different brands of metronidazole manufactured,available and prescribed by the doctors of Peshawar,***:Different film-coated metronidazole products manufactured by multinational and national pharmaceutical industries and prescribed by the doctors were collected from Peshawar,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,*** hysico-chemical properties were assessed,which included friability,hardness,disintegration,dissolution and weight variation tests according to the the United States Pharmacopoeia(USP)***:All the brands showed a average weight of 5.74 g for 13 tablets(products A-M).Product J had the highest weight and products D and E failed the hardness,friability and disintegration time according to USP *** M,K and G,L failed disintegration test and dissolution test,*** variation of all the products proved statistically that they were in accordance with the standards of ***:The study suggested that products A,F,H and J passed all the tests according to the USP standards while the rest of them did not fulfill the standards specification.
