A robust optimal framework is designed herein to mitigate the oscillatory dynamics in a doubly fed induction generator(DFIG)even in the presence of network disturbances and input *** address uncertain dynamics,herein,a novel transformation formula is developed for a wind energy conversion *** unscented Kalman filter is applied to estimate the un-measured internal states of the wind energy conversion system using terminal *** detailed convergence and stability analyses of the presented framework are investigated to validate its ***,comparative modal analyses are carried out to demonstrate the improvement in the damping of critical low-frequency oscillatory modes using the presented *** simulation results demonstrate satisfactory performance under various operating scenarios,such as increasing and decreasing wind speed and varying the terminal *** comparative performance is demonstrated to validate the effectiveness of the presented framework over that of the state-of-the-art frameworks.

An enormous amount of long non-coding RNAs（lnc RNAs） transcribed from eukaryotic genome are important regulators in different aspects of cellular events. Cytoplasm is the residence and the site of action for many lncRNAs. The cytoplasmic lncRNAs play indispensable roles with multiple molecular mechanisms in animal and human cells. In this review, we mainly talk about functions and the underlying mechanisms of lncRNAs in the cytoplasm. We highlight relatively well-studied examples of cytoplasmic lncRNAs for their roles in modulating mRNA stability,regulating m RNA translation, serving as competing endogenous RNAs, functioning as precursors of microRNAs, and mediating protein modifications. We also elaborate the perspectives of cytoplasmic lncRNA studies.

Oscillating flow around a circular cylinder in the vicinity of a plane wall was investigated by solving the two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with a finite element Galarkin residual method. The effect of the gap G/D between the cylinder surface and the wall on the flow behavior was studied. For the case of G/D 〈 0.25, the periodicity in the flow is attributed to both the outer shear layer instability and the oscillating frequency. As G/D 〉 0.25, vortex shedding occurs and the periodicity in the flow is mainly due to the competition of the oscillating frcqucncy and the vortex shedding frequency from an isolated stationary cylinder.

From the unified statistical thermodynamics of quantum gases, the virial coefficients of ideal Bose and Fermi gases, trapped under generic power law potential are derived systematically. From the general result of virial coefficients, one can produce the known results in d = 3 and d = 2. But more importantly we found that, the virial coefficients of Bose and Fermi gases become identical(except the second virial coefficient, where the sign is different)when the gases are trapped under harmonic potential in d = 1. This result suggests the equivalence between Bose and Fermi gases established in d = 1(J. Stat. Phys. DOI 10.1007/s10955-015-1344-4). Also, it is found that the virial coefficients of two-dimensional free Bose(Fermi) gas are equal to the virial coefficients of one-dimensional harmonically trapped Bose(Fermi) gas.

In this study,a six-phase induction asymmetric induction motor(SPAIM)was examined,whose performance surpasses that of its three-phase counterpart,with regard to the torque density,torque pulsation,fault tolerance,power rating per inverter lag,and noise ***-encoder-less direct torque control(DTC)for SPAIM with virtual voltage vectors(VVVs)and a modified sliding mode observer(MSMO)are *** SPAIM model was developed using a stationaryα-βframe for *** conventional DTC of the SPAIM drive is a simple extension of DTC for a 3-Φmotor drive that yields higher distortion in the stator *** mitigate the large amount of distortion in the stator current,VVVs were used to significantly reduce the harmonic content in the stator ***,to overcome the large amount of chattering observed in the case of a traditional sliding mode observer,particularly under low-speed operation,the MSMO was employed to reduce chattering even under low-speed *** performance of the proposed observer was verified under all the operating conditions suitable for the propulsion mode of an electric vehicle using Matlab/Simulink,and the results were experimentally validated.

Transradial cardiac catheterisation has been reported to be more beneficial compared to other approaches with easier and safer post-procedural haemostasis, better patient comfort, earlier ambulation and possibility of performing procedure and discharge on the same day. There is only limited data examining transradial access in the elderly population. In this review we looked at the available literature to give an insight into how the transradial approach compared to the transfemoral and other approaches in the elderly population. Elderly population is at higher risk of vascular access site bleeding and the transradial approach has shown equal efficacy to transfemoral approach. However, transradial approach significantly reduces vascular complications, hospital stay, mobilization times and adverse cardiac events. Therefore, transradial approach should be considered as the preferred vascular access site in the elderly population.
