This paper is part II of ＂On Copositive Approximation in Spaces of Contin- uous Functions＂. In this paper, the author shows that if Q is any compact subset of real numbers, and M is any finite dimensional strict Chebyshev subspace of C （Q）, then for any admissible function f ∈ C（Q）／M, the best copositive approximation to f from M is unique.

In this paper, we suggest a method for solving Fredholm integral equation of the first kind based on wavelet basis. The continuous Legendre and Chebyshev wavelets of the first, second, third and fourth kind on [0,1] are used and are utilized as a basis in Galerkin method to approximate the solution of integral equations. Then, in some examples the mentioned wavelets are compared with each other.

Background:High-resolution esophageal manometry(HREM)is the diagnostic test of choice for evaluation of nonobstructive *** regarding the predictors of esophageal dysmotility are ***,our aim was to study the prevalence of and factors associated with esophageal motility disorders in patients with non-obstructive ***:We performed a retrospective review of all patients with non-obstructive dysphagia who underwent HREM in a tertiary center between 1 January 2014 and 31 December *** obtaining IRB approval(16–051),clinical records were scrutinized for demographic data,symptoms,medication use,upper endoscopic findings and esophageal pH *** plots were classified per Chicago Classification version *** outcome was prevalence of esophageal motility disorders;secondary outcomes assessed predictive ***:In total,155 patients with non-obstructive dysphagia(55616 years old,72%female)were *** diagnosis was normal in 49%followed by ineffective esophageal motility in 20%,absent contractility in 7.1%,achalasia type II in 5.8%,outflow obstruction in 5.2%,jackhammer esophagus in 4.5%,distal esophageal spasm in 3.9%,fragment peristalsis in 1.9%,achalasia type I in 1.9%,and achalasia type III in 0.6%.Men were five times more likely to have achalasia than women[odds ratio(OR)5.3,95%confidence interval(CI):2.0–14.2;P=0.001].Patients with erosive esophagitis(OR 2.9,95%CI:1.1–7.7;P=0.027)or using calcium channel blockers(OR 3.0,95%CI:1.2–7.4;P=0.015)were three times more likely to have hypomotility ***:From this study,we concluded that HREM diagnosis per Chicago Classification version 3.0 was normal in 49%of patients with non-obstructive *** gender,erosive esophagitis and use of calcium channel blockers were predictive of esophageal motility disorders.

The reactive power dispatch （RPD） problem is a very critical optimization problem of power system which minimizes the real power loss of the transmission system. While solving the said problem, generator bus voltages and transformer tap settings are kept within a stable operating limit. In connection with the RPD problem, solving reactive power is compensated by incorporating shunt capacitors. The particle swarm optimization （PSO） technique is a swarm intelligence based fast working optimization method which is chosen in this paper as an optimization tool. Additionally, the constriction factor is included with the conventional PSO technique to accelerate the convergence property of the applied optimization tool. In this paper, the RPD problem is solved in the case of the two higher bus systems, i.e., the IEEE 57-bus system and the IEEE ll8-bus system. Furthermore, the result of the present paper is compared with a few optimization technique based results to substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed study.

Objective:To assess early mortality and identify its predictors among the ART naive HIV-infected patients initiating anti retroviral therapy(ART) available free of cost at the ART Centres. Methods:A retrospective cohort analysis of routinely collected programme data was done for assessing mortality of all ART naive adult patients who received first-line ART at a government tertiary care hospital in eastern India during 1st March 2009 and 28th February *** and multiple regression analyses of the baseline demographic,clinical and laboratory records using SPSS 15.0 were done to identify independent predictors of ***:The mortality rate at one year was estimated to be 7.66(95%CI 5.84-9.83) deaths/100 patient-years and more than 50%of the deaths occurred during first three months of ART initiation with a median time interval of 73 *** was the major cause of *** naive patients with baseline serum albumin <3.5 mg/dL were eight(OR 7.9;95%CI:3.8-16.5) at risk of death than those with higher serum albumin levels and patients with CD4 count

Simulations based on solving the Kohn-Sham(KS)equation of density functional theory(DFT)have become a vital component of modern materials and chemical sciences research and development *** its versatility,routine DFT calculations are usually limited to a few hundred atoms due to the computational bottleneck posed by the KS *** we introduce a machine-learning-based scheme to efficiently assimilate the function of the KS equation,and by-pass it to directly,rapidly,and accurately predict the electronic structure of a material or a molecule,given just its atomic configuration.A new rotationally invariant representation is utilized to map the atomic environment around a grid-point to the electron density and local density of states at that *** mapping is learned using a neural network trained on previously generated reference DFT results at millions of *** proposed paradigm allows for the high-fidelity emulation of KS DFT,but orders of magnitude faster than the direct ***,the machine learning prediction scheme is strictly linear-scaling with system size.

Nanofluids are a potential alternative to significantly improving the performance of heat transfer applications. In this work, a numerical analysis to examine the eff ect of dispersing copper(Cu), copper oxide(CuO), and aluminum(Al2O3) nanoparticles in pure water on the performance of a flat plate solar collector(FPSC) and a numerical model was proposed. The influence of the nanofluid type on the thermal efficiency was critically investigated and discussed. The eff ect of the mass flow rate on the performance was also analyzed and discussed. Based on correlations of the thermophysical properties of nanofluids, a sensitivity analysis was used to analyze the impact of the nanoparticles on the base fluid. The results indicate that the performance of the FPSC with Cu/water nanofluid was better than that of FPSCs using CuO/water or Al2O3/water nanofluids. When the mass flow rate of the nanofluids was 8.0 L/min, the efficiency of the FPSC was much greater than those at the flow rates of 5.0 L/min and 2.0 L/min. Mean enhancements in thermal efficiency of 4.44%, 4.27%, and 4.21% were observed when 2.0 L/min was applied using Cu/water, Cu O/water, and Al2O3/water nanofluids, respectively. Improvements in thermal efficiency of 2.76%, 2.53%, and 2.47% occurred when 8.0 L/min was applied.
