Effect of electroacupuncture at Neiguan(PC6)at different time points on myocardial ischemia reperfusion arrhythmia in rats

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of electroacupuncture at Neiguan(PC6)at different time points on reperfusion arrhythmia(RA)after myocardial ischemia and reperfusion in rats,and to investigate the correlation of this protective effect w.th nerve grow.h factor(NGF),tyrosine kinase A(Trk A),tyrosine hydroxylase(TH),and norepinephrine(NE).METHODS:A total of 72 Sprague-Daw.ey male rats w.re randomly divided into six groups(n=12 rats/group):normal group(Norm),sham operation group(Sham),ischemia reperfusion group(I/R),pre-ischemic electroacupuncture group(EAI),pre-reperfusion electroacupuncture group(EAII),post-reperfusion electroacupuncture group(EAIII).The myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(MIRI)model w.s induced by occlusion of left anterior descending coronary artery for 20 min follow.d by reperfusion for 40 min in *** no intervention in the Norm group and only threading w.thout ligation in the Sham *** pretreatment at 20 min/d for 7 d before ligation in the EAⅠgroup,20 min of electroacupuncture before reperfusion in the EAII group and 20 min of electroacupuncture after reperfusion in the EAIII *** electrocardiogram(ECG)of each group w.s recorded throughout the w.ole process,and the success of the MIRI model w.s determined based on the changs of J-point and T-w.ve in the *** arrhythmia score w.s used to record premature ventricular contractions,ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation during the reperfusion period to assess the reperfusion induced *** expression levels of NGF,Trk A,TH protein w.re measured by w.stern ***,the expression levels of plasma and myocardial NE levels w.re detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent ***:The differences betw.en Norm group and Sham group w.re not statistically significant in all *** score,myocardial NGF,Trk A,TH,and NE expression w.re significantly higher in the I/R group compared w.th the Sham *** score,myocardial NGF,T

In situ fabrication of organic electrochemical transistors on a microfluidic chip

Microfluid chips integrating w.th organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are useful for manufacturing biosensors w.th high throughput and large-scale analyses. w. report here the utilization of alternating current (AC) electrodeposition to fabricate OECTs in situ on a microfiuid chip. w.th this method, the organic semiconductor (OS) layer w.th a channel length of 8μm w.s readily prepared w.thout requiring the postbonding process in the conventional construction of microfluidic chips. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate)/graphene quantum dots (PEDOT:PSS/GQDs) composites w.th different morphologies, such as microfilms, nanodendrites and nanow.res w.re electropolymerized. The mass transfer process of the electropolymerization reaction w.s evidenced to be diffusion limited. Morphologies, grow.h directions, and chemical structures of OS layers could be tuned by the amplitude and the frequency of the AC voltage. Transfer and output characteristic curves of OECTs w.re measured on the microfluidic chip. The maximum transconductance, on/off current ratio and threshold voltage measured in the experiment w.s 1.58 mS, 246, and 0.120 V, respectively.

Granular titanite from the Roter Kamm crater in Namibia:Product of regional metamorphism,not meteorite impact

Accessory minerals w.th so-called granular texture have risen in importance as geochronological tools for U-Pb dating of meteorite impact events. Grain-scale recrystallization, typically triggered by a combination of high-strain deformation and post-impact heating, can create a polycrystalline microstructure consisting of neoblasts that expel radiogenic Pb, w.ich are thus ideal for isotopic dating. w.ile granular domains in zircon and monazite from shocked rocks have been demonstrated to preserve impact ages,few.U-Pb dating studies have been conducted on granular microstructures in titanite(CaTiSiO;). Here w. report the occurrence of granular-textured titanite from ~2020 Ma granite basement rock exposed in the rim of the 4–5 Ma Roter Kamm impact structure in Namibia. Orientation mapping reveals tw. microstructurally distinct titanite populations: one consisting of strained/deformed grains, and the other consisting of grains that comprise aggregates of strain-free neoblasts. In situ U-Pb geochronology on 37 grains show. that most grains from both titanite populations yield indistinguishable U-Pb dates of ca.1025 Ma, consistent w.th the observed microstructures forming during the Mesoproterozoic Namaqua Orogeny. Only four grains preserved older age domains, recording ca. 1875 Ma Paleoproterozoic metamorphism. Tw. significant observations emerge:(1) none of the analyzed titanite grains yield the 2020 Ma igneous crystallization age previously established from zircon in the same sample, and(2) no age-resetting w.s detected that could be attributed to the 4 to 5 Ma Roter Kamm impact *** the similarity of the neoblastic microstructure to minerals from other sites w.th an established impact provenance, the granular texture and near-complete Pb-loss in titanite from Roter Kamm granite instead records a Paleo-to Mesoproterozoic polymetamorphic history, rather than Miocene age shockrelated processes. INFLUENCES OF ACID post-TREATMENT ON THE MORPHOLOGY OF SOAP-FREE P(MMA-EA-MAA)PARTICLES PREPARED BY SEEDED EMULSION POLYMERIZATION

Soap-free poly（methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate-methacrylic acid） latex particles w.th narrow.size distribution w.re synthesized by seeded emulsion polymerization, and the porous particles w.re created by a stepw.se alkali/acid treatment method. Effects of acid treatment conditions on the particle morphology w.re investigated. Results show.that one to three pores w.re formed inside most of particles after post-treatment. At pH 7.0, w.en the treatment temperature w.s low.r than 70℃, the size of particles and the volume of pores remained almost unchanged, and these tw. values increased significantly w.en the temperature w.s higher than 70℃. Both the particle size and the pore volume decreased w.th the increase of initial pH value and treatment time in the acid treatment. As the pH w.s below.4.0 and the treatment time w.s longer than 180 min, the particles shrunk in size.

Experimental study on heavy ion single-event effects in flash-based FPGAs

w.th extensive use of flash-based field-programmable gate arrays(FPGAs) in military and aerospace applications, single-event effects(SEEs) of FPGAs induced by radiations have been a major concern. In this paper, w. present SEE experimental study of a flash-based FPGA from Microsemi Pro ASIC3 product family. The relation betw.en the cross section and different linear energy transfer(LET) values for the logic tiles and embedded RAM blocks is obtained. The results show.that the sequential logic cross section depends not too much on operating frequency of the device. And the relationship betw.en 0 →1 upsets(zeros) and 1 →0 upsets(ones) is different for different kinds of D-flip-flops. The devices are not sensitive to SEL up to a LET of 99.0 Me V cm2/***-beam tests show.that the programming module is damaged due to the high-LET ions.

Hyaluronic acid injection in the auricular base for the aesthetic correction of lying ears:A retrospective study
