Robotic welding demands high accuracy and ***,robot programming is often a tedious and time-consuming process that requires expert *** paper presents an augmented reality assisted robot welding task programming(ARwP)system using a user-friendly augmented reality(AR)interface that simplifies and speeds up the programming of robotic welding *** ARwP system makes the programming of robot welding tasks more user-friendly and reduces the need for trained programmers and expertise in specific robotic *** AR interface simplifies the definition of a welding path as well as the welding gun orientation,and the system;the system can locate the welding seam of a workpiece quickly and generate a viable welding path based on the user *** developed system is integrated with the touch-sensing capability of welding robots in order to locate the welding path accurately based on the user input,for fillet *** system is applicable to other welding processes and methods of seam *** system implementation is described and evaluated with a case study.

Farmer-managed irrigation systems(FMIS) in the high altitude valleys of the karakorum,Pakistan, continue to be managed effectively despite increased pressure on the social arrangements that sustain them. Colonial era records shows that over a century ago government agencies undertook irrigation support projects. In the past three decades,government agencies and the non-government agency Aga khan Rural Support Programme(AkRSP), which channels foreign funds into the region, have actively engaged in the provision of irrigation support. This article seeks to explore whether such projects support or undermine farmer-managed irrigation systems and the complex institutional arrangements that underpin them. Field research using ethnographic and participatory methods was conducted in spring 2013 in the upper Shigar valley, Skardu district, GilgitBaltistan. The findings show that irrigation development is a political activity that involves village-based actors, religious leaders, local politicians,and government and non-government *** agencies operate in a largely top-down,engineering mode, their larger projects limited to villages suffering water scarcity. The local government provides small funds for renovation work of FMIS,though allocation of funds is highly politicized. Nongovernment agencies, for a variety of reasons including donor-funding cycles, apply a one-size-fitsall ‘participatory' model in an attempt to socially engineer rules and institutions. In communities divided by factionalism the use of such external models that stress formation of committees are unlikely to yield positive results, and could instead contribute to undermining the very systems they seek to support. This research argues that irrigation interventions should take care to build upon the rich and complex social arrangements that have sustained FMIS through the centuries.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men worldwide, and the number of diagnosed patients has dramatically increased in recent years. Currently, the clinical parameters used to diagnose prostate cancer, such as Gleason score, pathological tumor staging, and prostate-specific antigen(PSA) expression level, are considered insufficient to inform recommendation to guide clinical practice. Thus, identification of a novel biomarker is necessary. TwIST is one of the well-studied targets and is correlated with cancer invasion and metastasis in several human cancers. we have investigated two largest prostate cancer patient cohorts available in GEO database and found that TwIST expression is positive correlated with Gleason score and associated with poorer survival. By using a prostate cancer cohort and a prostate cancer cell line dataset, we have identified three potential downstream targets of TwIST, PPM1 A, SRP72 and TBCB. TwIST's prognostic capacity is lost when the gene is mutated. Further investigation in the prostate cancer cohort revealed that gene expression of SERPINA, STX7, PDIA2, FMP5, GP1 BB, VGLL4,kCNMA1, SHMT2, SAA4 and DIDO1 influence the prognostic significance of TwIST and vice versa. Importantly, eight out of these ten genes are prognostic indicator by itself. In conclusion, our study has further confirmed that TwIST is a prognostic marker in prostate cancer, identified its potential downstream targets and genes that could possibly give additional prognostic value to predict TwIST-mediated prostate cancer progression.

while most types of malignancies remain recalcitrant to treatment, application of natural products or their analogs in daily life has offered some hopes as an effective prophylaxis against cancer onset and progression in the past decades. Emerging evidence supports a link between garlic consumption and decreased cancer incidence. Notably, aged garlic extract(AGE) exhibits stronger anti-cancer activities than that of fresh garlic, by virtue of enrichment of several AGE-specific organosulfur compounds, including S-allylmercaptocysteine(SAMC). In this review, we summarize the up-to-date mechanistic pathways associated with the anti-proliferative, anti-metastatic and pro-apoptotic effects of SAMC in various cancer models. Based upon the proven safety and improved understanding on its anti-neoplastic properties, SAMC has gained recognition as a promising daily food supplement for cancer prevention or management.

Te efcient bioconjugation of functional groups/molecules to targeted matrix and bio-related species drives the great development of material science and biomedicine,while the dilemma of metal catalysis,uneasy premodifcation,and limited reaction efciency in traditional bioconjugation has restricted the booming development to some ***,we provide a strategy for metal-free click bioconjugation at diverse levels based on activated *** a proof-of-concept,the abundant native groups including amine,thiol,and hydroxyl groups can directly react with activated alkynes without any modifcation in the absence of metal *** this strategy,high-efcient modifcation and potential functionalization can be achieved for natural polysaccharide,biocompatible polyethylene glycol(PEG),synthetic polymers,cell penetrating peptide,protein,fast whole-cell mapping,and even quick diferentiation and staining of Gram-positive bacteria,***,current metal-free click bioconjugation strategy based on activated alkynes is promising for the development of quick fuorescence labeling and functional modifcation of many targets and can be widely applied towards the fabrication of complex biomaterials and future in vivo labeling and detection.

Low-thermal-budget,electrically active,and thick polysilicon films are necessary for building a microelectromechanical system(MEMS)on top of a complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS).However,the formation of these polysilicon films is a challenge in this ***,for the first time,the development of in situ phosphorus-doped silicon films deposited under ultrahigh-vacuum conditions(~10^(−9)Torr)using electron-beam evaporation(UHVEE)is *** process results in electrically active,fully crystallized,low-stress,smooth,and thick polysilicon films with low thermal *** crystallographic,mechanical,and electrical properties of phosphorus-doped UHVEE polysilicon films are *** films are compared with intrinsic and boron-doped UHVEE silicon *** spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and atomic force microscopy(AFM)are used for crystallographic and surface morphological *** curvature,cantilever deflection profile and resonance frequency measurements are employed to study the mechanical properties of the ***,resistivity measurements are conducted to investigate the electrical properties of the *** vertical,high-aspectratio micromachining of UHVEE polysilicon has been developed.A comb-drive structure is designed,simulated,fabricated,and characterized as an actuator and inertial sensor comprising 20-μm-thick in situ phosphorus-doped UHVEE films at a temperature less than 500℃.The results demonstrate for the first time that UHVEE polysilicon uniquely allows the realization of mechanically and electrically functional MEMS devices with low thermal budgets.

等离子体浸没离子注入与工件外表面的注入不同 ,存在空间和时间上的尺度。研究结果表明 ,由于内腔 ,如内筒的有限尺寸 ,使注入电压的利用率降低 ,同时使内部等离子体快速耗尽 ,对于特定的内筒 ,利用提高注入电压从而提高注入能量只能在一定的电压范围内实现。在典型的外表面注入工艺条件下 ,内表面离子的耗尽速度是惊人的。如在对于直径 2 0cm的圆筒在 30kV、2× 10 15ions/cm3的条件下 ,等离子体耗尽时间仅为 0 .5 5 μs ,这个时间甚至小于多数脉冲电源的上升沿时间。结果表明 ,内部等离子体源的硬件结构可能是一种有效的解决方法。
