Escalating cyber security threats and the increased use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices require utilisation of the latest technologies available to supply adequate protection. The aim of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) is to prevent malicious attacks that corrupt operations and interrupt data flow, which might have significant impact on critical industries and infrastructure. This research examines existing IDS, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for IoT devices, methods, and techniques. The contribution of this study consists of identification of the most effective IDS systems in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score; this research also considers training time. Results demonstrate that Graph Neural Networks (GNN) have several benefits over other traditional AI frameworks through their ability to achieve in excess of 99% accuracy in a relatively short training time, while also capable of learning from network traffic the inherent characteristics of different cyber-attacks. These findings identify the GNN (a Deep Learning AI method) as the most efficient IDS system. The novelty of this research lies also in the linking between high yielding AI-based IDS algorithms and the AI-based learning approach for data privacy protection. This research recommends Federated Learning (FL) as the AI training model, which increases data privacy protection and reduces network data flow, resulting in a more secure and efficient IDS solution. © 2024 The Authors. Control of dust in underground coal mines is critical for mitigating both safety and health *** decades,the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health(NIOSH)has led research to evaluate the effectiveness of various dust control technologies in coal *** studies have included the evaluation of auxiliary scrubbers to reduce respirable dust downstream of active mining and the use of canopy air curtains(CACs)to reduce respirable dust in key operator *** detailed dust characterization was not a focus of such studies,this is a growing area of *** preserved filter samples from three previous NIOSH studies,the current work aims to explore the effect of two different scrubbers(one wet and one dry)and a roof bolter CAC on respirable dust composition and particle size *** this,the preserved filter samples were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis and/or scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive *** indicate that dust composition was not appreciably affected by either scrubber or the ***,the wet scrubber and CAC appeared to decrease the overall particle size *** an effect of the dry scrubber was not consistently observed,but this is probably related to the particular sampling location downstream of the scrubber which allowed for significant mixing of the scrubber exhaust and other return *** from the insights gained with respect to the three specific dust control case studies revisited here,this work demonstrates the value of preserved dust samples for follow-up investigation more broadly.

In this article,we present a dynamical system analysis of a Dirac-Born-Infeld scalar field in a modified f(Q)gravity *** considered a polynomial form of modified gravity,used two different types of scalar potential,polynomial and exponential,and found a closed autonomous dynamical system of *** analyzed the fixed points of such a system and evaluated the conditions under which deceleration to late-time acceleration occurs in this *** note the similarity of the two models and show that our result is consistent with a previous study on Einstein s *** also investigated the phenomenological implications of our models by plotting EoS(ω),energy density(Ω),and deceleration parameter(q)*** e-fold time and comparing to the present *** conclude the paper by observing how the dynamical system analysis differs in the modified f(Q)gravity,and present the future scope of our research.

In the realm of low-level vision tasks,such as image deraining and dehazing,restoring images distorted by adverse weather conditions remains a significant *** emergence of abundant computational resources has driven the dominance of deep Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),supplanting traditional methods reliant on prior ***,the evolution of CNN architectures has tended towards increasing complexity,utilizing intricate structures to enhance performance,often at the expense of computational *** response,we propose the Selective kernel Dense Residual M-shaped Network(SkDRMNet),a flexible solution adept at balancing computational efficiency with network accuracy.A key innovation is the incorporation of an M-shaped hierarchical structure,derived from the U-Net framework as M-Network(M-Net),within which the Selective kernel Dense Residual Module(SDRM)is introduced to reinforce multi-scale semantic feature *** methodology employs two sampling techniques-bilinear and pixel unshuffled and utilizes a multi-scale feature fusion approach to distil more robust spatial feature map *** the reconstruction phase,feature maps of varying resolutions are seamlessly integrated,and the extracted features are effectively merged using the Selective kernel Fusion Module(SkFM).Empirical results demonstrate the comprehensive superiority of SkDRMNet across both synthetic and real rain and haze datasets.
