The persistence and performance (growth promoting potential) of green fluorescent protein (gfp) marked Azotobacter chroococcum strain ABR 4G were studied in sterilized and unsterilized wheat rhizospheric soil. The gfp was integrated via Tn 5 transposition into A. chroococcum chromosome and the resultant gfp marked colonies were identified by green fluorescent emission under Uv light. The gfp was stably maintained in A. chroococcum and the gfp insertion had no apparent adverse effect on the growth promoting properties of the marked soil isolate ABR 4G. The growth promoting properties (nitrogen fixation, ammonia excretion, phosphate solubilization and IAA production) of the parent soil isolate and the gfp marked strain were found to be almost the same. All the quantitative wheat plant traits were significantly influenced by inoculation of A. chroococcum ABR 4G strain in sterilized and unsterilized soil. Inoculated bacterial counts increased gradually in wheat rhizosphere, reached maximum on 60 th d and declined on 80 th d. Fertility levels also affected survival of marked strain and the survival was comparable in sterilized and unsterilized soil. We investigate the Bianchi type-v magnetized string cosmological model with variable magnetic permeability for viscous fluid distribution. The magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the x-axis. Thus the magnetic field is in yz-plane and F23 is the only non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor Fij. To obtain the deterministic model in terms of cosmic time t, we assume the condition ξθ const where ξ is the coefficient of bulk viscosity and θ the expansion in the model.

Objective:Mandate from WHO has boosted up anti-filarial drug *** citrate（DEC） was not known for any direct effect on filarial ***,recent report proposed its direct apoptotic *** stress has been implicated in apoptotic impact.A study was designed to explore the possibility of oxidative rationale to be operative in the direct anti-filarial effect of ***:various doses of DEC and potent oxidant H2O2 alone were used in vitro to check for the effects on *** microfilariae,followed by the use of DEC in combination with H2O2.Reversal of the oxidative impact of the drug was tested using the antioxidant,vitamin C and also lipid peroxidation levels in the post incubation culture supematants were ***:As expected,DEC alone failed to record any anti-filarial effect.H2O2 alone also failed to show any significant effect until a very high dose was ***,in combination significant anti-filarial effect was noticed,which allowed even 44%reduction in the dose of H2O2.Any significant lipid peroxidation was not *** C demonstrated 30%inhibitory ***:DEC and H2O2 combination being able to educe synergistic anti-filarial effect and inhibition of the same by vitamin C hinted towards covert oxidative component in the mechanism of *** implication of non-significant lipid peroxidation was addressed in the perspective of subtle oxidative nexus that seems to be operative in observed anti-filarial effect. Exploration of such rationale might lead to novel drug development.

Objective:To study detailed pharmacognostic profile of leaves and stem of Careya arborea(C. arborea) Roxb.(Lecthyidaceae),an important medicinal plant in the Indian system of medicine. Methods:Leaf and stem samples of *** were studied by macroscopical,microscopical, physicochemical,phytochemical,fluorescence analysis of powder of the plant and other methods for standardization recommended by ***:Maeroscopieally,the leaves are simple, broadly obovate in shape,acuminate apex with crenate,dentate margin,petioles(0.1-1.8 cm) long. Microscopically,the leaf showed the presence of median large size vascular bundle covered with fibrous bundle sheath,arrangement of xylem in cup shape and presence of cortical vascular bundle, patches of sclerenchyma,phloem fibers in groups and brown pigment containing cells in stem are some of the diagnostic features noted from anatomical *** microscopy of leaf revealed the presence of parenchyma cells,xylem with pitted vessels and epidermis with anisocylic *** investigations also included leaf surface data;quantitative leaf microscopy and fluorescence analysis. Physiochemical parameters such as loss on drying,swelling index,extractive values and ash values were also determined and results showed that total ash of the stem bark was about two times higher than leaf and water soluble extractive value of leaf and stem bark was two limes higher than alcohol soluble extractive *** phytochemical screening showed the presence of triterpenoids, saponins,tannins and ***:The results of the study can serve as a valuable source of information and provide suitable standards for identification of this plant material in future investigations and applications.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a global epidemic that is likely to become the most common cause of chronic liver disease in the next decade, worldwide. Though numerous drugs have been evaluated in clinical trials, most of them have returned inconclusive results and shown poorly-tolerated adverse effects. None of the drugs have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treating biopsy-proven non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). vitamin E and pioglitazone have been extensively used in treatment of biopsy-proven nondiabetic NASH patients. Although some amelioration of inflammation has been seen, these drugs did not improve the fibrosis component of NASH. Therefore, dietary modification and weight reduction have remained the cornerstone of treatment of NASH;moreover, they have shown to improve histological activity as well as fibrosis. The search for an ideal drug or ‘Holy Grail’ within this landscape of possible agents continues, as weight reduction is achieved only in less than 10% of patients. In this current review, we summarize the drugs for NASH which are under investigation, and we provide a critical analysis of their up-to-date results and outcomes.

Aim:Nonselective beta‐blockers(NSBBs)can reduce the incidence of complications in patients with cirrhosis and prolong *** safety and efficacy of NSBBs in real‐world settings in patients with acute‐on‐chronic liver failure(ACLF)identified by the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of Liver criteria are *** study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of NSBBs in patients with Asian Pacific Association for the Study of Liver(APASL)‐defined ACLF Methods:In this retrospective,multicenter study,patients with ACLF with complete 30 days follow‐up from January 2019 to December 2021 were *** primary objective was to compare 30‐day mortality among standard of care(SOC)and NSBB(+SOC)*** secondary objectives were to compare the incidence of infection,variceal bleed,and recompensation among both the ***:A total of 346 patients were *** 26%(n=89)of them received NSBBs,while 74%(n=257)received only *** kaplan-Meier analysis,the incidence of mortality was 21%(95%confidence interval[CI]:16.20-26.50)in SOC group compared to only 8%(95%CI:3.22-15.53)in NSBB group at Day 30(p=0.005).Similarly,mortality in SOC group was 63%(95%CI:56.81-69.00)compared to 46%(95%CI:35.44-57.00)in NSBB group at 1 year(p=0.001).NSBB therapy could not reduce the incidence of infections or variceal ***‐seven percent of patients in the SOC group and 73%of patients in the NSBB group(pvariceal bleed in patients with ***,only one in four ACLF patients are suitable for NSBB therapy.

A mathematical model describing the dynamics of toxin producing phytoplankton–zooplankton interaction with instantaneous nutrient recycling is proposed. We have explored the dynamics of plankton ecosystem with multiple delays; one due to gestation period in the growth of phytoplankton population and second due to the delay in toxin liberated by TPP. It is established that a sequence of Hopf bifurcations occurs at the interior equilibrium as the delay increases through its critical value. The direction of the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are determined using the theory of normal form and center manifold. Meanwhile, effect of toxin on the stability of delayed plankton system is also established numerically. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to support and supplement the analytical findings.
