Fasting C-Peptide Response, and Its Clinical Impact in Type I Diabetics to a Novel metaphysical Energy Healing Therapy—Preliminary Experience and Observations

Type 1 diabetes is classically the true form of insulinopaenic diabetes usually occurring in young children below the age of 15 years and occasionally up to 20 years and characterised by very low/ negligible fasting C-peptide in their blood due to extensive irreversible Beta cell damage. T1Dm probably accounts for 5% to 10% of all diagnosed diabetes. The worldwide prevalence of T1Dm is 0.1% to 0.3%, with 78,000 new cases every year, especially among young individuals (15. Type I diabetes is very much lower (20 times) in countries like Japan and India, than the western countries. The European Nicotinamide Diabetes Intervention Trial (ENDIT) is focused on the use of nicotinamide in the prevention of diabetes. In high doses (nicotinamide), it may cause a degree of sedation, a feeling of depression, and in very large dosages, liver toxicity. Because the vitamin cannot be marketed as a drug, the study is not getting a great deal of support from pharmaceutical companies. GAD antibodies (GADA) are a major diagnostic marker for Type 1 diabetes. Phase II clinical trials of a vaccine containing alum and recombinant GAD65, an auto antigen involved in type 1 diabetes, were promising, as of 2014 Phase III trial had failed. In our quest for improving the clinical condition & quality of life of type I Dm & also to reduce the economic burden on them, we have embarked on a novel metaphysical energy therapy which we have been trying for the past 3 years at our research Centre. We have so far treated some 15 cases with this DAmm therapy. Among the 15 cases, 6 cases have shown significant improvement in fasting C-peptide levels. With the advent of this new modality of treatment (DAmm Therapy) the cost of treatment will be greatly reduced. This DAmm Therapy apparently has no side effects. This mode of treatment will open a new light in the world of Type I diabetes.

The combination of urbanization and global warming leads to urban overheating and compounds the frequency and intensity of extreme heat events due to climate ***,the risk of urban overheating can be mitigated by urban green-blue-grey infrastructure(GBGI),such as parks,wetlands,and engineered greening,which have the potential to effectively reduce summer air *** many reviews,the evidence bases on quantified GBGI cooling benefits remains partial and the practical recommendations for implementation are *** systematic literature review synthesizes the evidence base for heat mitigation and related co-benefits,identifies knowledge gaps,and proposes recommendations for their implementation to maximize their *** screening 27,486 papers,202 were reviewed,based on 51 GBGI types categorized under 10 main *** GBGI(green walls,parks,street trees)have been well researched for their urban cooling ***,several other GBGI have received negligible(zoological garden,golf course,estuary)or minimal(private garden,allotment)*** most efficient air cooling was observed in botanical gardens(5.0±3.5℃),wetlands(4.9±3.2℃),green walls(4.1±4.2℃),street trees(3.8±3.1℃),and vegetated balconies(3.8±2.7℃).Under changing climate conditions(2070–2100)with consideration of RCP8.5,there is a shift in climate subtypes,either within the same climate zone(e.g.,Dfa to Dfb and Cfb to Cfa)or across other climate zones(e.g.,Dfb[continental warm-summer humid]to BSk[dry,cold semi-arid]and Cwa[temperate]to Am[tropical]).These shifts may result in lower efficiency for the current GBGI in the *** the importance of multiple services,it is crucial to balance their functionality,cooling performance,and other related co-benefits when planning for the future *** global GBGI heat mitigation inventory can assist policymakers and urban planners in prioritizing effective interventions to reduce the risk of urban overheating,fi

Background: EUS is an important modality for the diagnosis of pancreatic disea se. An understanding of normal pancreatic ductal and parenchymal variation in as ymptomatic individuals is essential to improve EUS accuracy. The primary aim of this study was to determine age-related pancreatic parenchymal and ductular cha nges identifiable on EUS in individuals with no history or symptoms of pancreati cobiliary disease. Secondary aims were to define demographic and clinical factor s associated with identifiable pancreatic parenchymal and ductular changes,and t o determine the main pancreatic-duct diameter and pancreatic-gland width accor ding to age. methods: Patients referred for either upper endoscopy or EUS for an indication unrelated to pancreaticobiliary disease were prospectively enrolled. Patients were stratified by age (60 years). Each patient was ass essed for the presence of EUS findings for chronic pancreatitis. Logistic regres sion was used to identify factors associated with an abnormality. Results: A tot al of 120 patients(63 men, 57 women; median age, 52 years, interquartile range[I QR] 40-61 yea- rs) were prospectively evaluated. At least one parenchymal and/or ductular abn ormality was identified in 28%of the patients, with a trend of increasing abnor mality with age:60 years (39%);p = 0.13. No patient had more than 3 abnormal EUS *** stranding (n = 22) was the most common finding in all age groups. The odds for any abnorma lity in men (relative to women) was significantly higher (OR 2.9: 95%CI[1.2, 6. 8],p = 0.01), with 38%of men and 18%of women having an abnormality. Smoking, l ow alcohol intake, body mass index,and endoscopic finding were not significantly associated with an abnormal EUS. The overall median pancreatic-gland width and main pancreatic duct diameter were 15 mm (IQR 6-25 mm) and 1.7 mm(IQR 0.9-4.3 mm), respectively. Conclusions:The frequency of EUS abnormalities
