The Lunar Environment heliospheric X-ray Imager(leXI)and Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMIle)missions will image the Earth’s dayside magneto pause and cusps in soft X-rays after their respective launches in the near future,to specify glo bal magnetic reconnection modes for varying solar wind *** suppo rt the success of these scientific missions,it is critical to develop techniques that extract the magnetopause locations from the observed soft X-ray *** this research,we introduce a new geometric equation that calculates the subsolar magnetopause position(RS)from a satellite position,the look direction of the instrument,and the angle at which the X-ray emission is *** assumptions are used in this method:(1)The look direction where soft X-ray emissions are maximized lies tangent to the magnetopause,and(2)the magnetopause surface near the subsolar point is almost spherical and thus RSis nea rly equal to the radius of the magneto pause *** create synthetic soft X-ray images by using the Open Geospace General Circulation Model(OpenGGCM)global magnetohydrodynamic model,the galactic background,the instrument point spread function,and Poisson *** then apply the fast Fourier transform and Gaussian low-pass filte rs to the synthetic images to re move noise and obtain accurate look angles for the soft X-ray pea *** the filte red images,we calculate RS and its accuracy for different leXI locations,look directions,and solar wind densities by using the OpenGGCM subsolar magnetopause location as ground *** method estimates RS with an accuracy of10 *** accuracy improves for greater solar wind densities and during southward interplanetary magnetic *** method ca ptures the magnetopause motion during southwa rd interplaneta ry magnetic field ***,the technique will enable quantitative analysis of the magnetopause motion and help reveal the daysi

The Soft X-ray Imager(SXI)is part of the scientific payload of the Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMIle)*** is a joint science mission between the European Space Agency(ESA)and the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)and is due for launch in *** is a compact X-ray telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encompassing large portions of Earth’s magnetosphere from the vantage point of the SMIle *** is sensitive to the soft X-rays produced by the Solar Wind Charge eXchange(SWCX)process produced when heavy ions of solar wind origin interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a mechanism for boundary detection within the magnetosphere,such as the position of Earth’s magnetopause,because the solar wind heavy ions have a very low density in regions of closed magnetic field *** sensitivity of the SXI is such that it can potentially track movements of the magnetopause on timescales of a few minutes and the orbit of SMIle will enable such movements to be tracked for segments lasting many *** is led by the University of leicester in the United kingdom(Uk)with collaborating organisations on hardware,software and science support within the Uk,Europe,China and the United States.

Planning and scheduling is one of the most important activity in supply chain operation *** the years,there have been multiple researches regarding planning and scheduling which are applied to improve a variety of supply *** includes two commonly used methods which are mathematical programming models and heuristics *** manufacturing systems are seen normally in industrial environments but few have considered certain constraints such as transportation capacity and transportation time within their supply chain.A two-stage flowshop of a single processing machine and a batch processing machine are considered with their capacity and transportation time between *** objectives of this research are to build a suitable mathematical model capable of minimizing the maximum completion time,to propose a heuristic optimization algorithm to solve the problem,and to develop an applicable program of the heuristics *** Integer Programming(MIP)model and a heuristics optimization algorithmwas developed and tested using a randomly generated data set for *** overall results and performance of each approach was compared between the two methods that would assist the decision maker in choosing a suitable solution for their manufacturing line.

Aim: To study the expression of proline-rich Akt-substrate PRAS40 in the cell survival pathway and tumor progression. Methods: The effects of three key kinase inhibitors on PRAS40 activity in the cell survival pathway, serum withdrawal,U2O2and overexpression of Akt were tested. The expression of PRAS40, Akt, Raf and 14-3-3 in normal cells and cancer cell lines was determined by Western blot. Results: The PI3k inhibitors worthmannin and Ly294002, but not rapamycin, completely inhibited the phosphorylation of Akt and PRAS40. The phosphorylation level of Akt decreased after serum withdrawal and treatment with the MEk inhibi tor Uo 126, but increased after treatment with H2O2at low concentration, whereas none of these treatments changed PRAS40 activity. 14-3-3 is a PRAS40 binding protein, and the expression of 14-3-3, like that of PRAS40, was higher in HeLa cells than in HEk293 cells; PRAS40 had a stronger phosphorylation activity in A549 and HeLa cancer cells than in HEk293 normal cells. In the breast cancer model (MCF10A/MCF7) and lung cancer model (BEAS/H1198/H1170) we also found the same result: PRAS40 was constitutively active in H1198/H1170 and MCF7 premalignant and malignant cancer cells, but weakly expressed in MCF10A and BEAS normal cell. We also discussed PRAS40 activity in other NSCLC cell lines. Conclusion: The PI3k-Akt survival pathway is the main pathway that PRAS40 is involved in; PRAS40 is a substrate for Akt, but can also be activated by an Akt independent mechanisms. PRAS40 activation is an early event during breast and lung carcinogenesis.
