kikuchi-Fujimoto disease,a rare form of necrotizing lymphadenitis,is an uncommon,benign,self-limiting disorder of obscure *** affects mostly young adults of both ***,it presents with fever and lymphadenopathy of a firm to rubbery consistency frequently involving cervical lymph nodes while weight loss,splenomegaly,leucopenia,and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate feature in severely affected *** involvement occurs in about 30%-40%of cases as facial erythema and nonspecific erythematous papules,plaques,acneiform or morbilliform lesions of great histologic *** kikuchi-Fujimoto disease and systemic lupus erythematosus share an obscure and complex relationship as systemic lupus erythematosus may occasionally precede,develop subsequently,or sometimes be associated concurrently with kikuchi-Fujimoto *** is often mistaken for non-Hodgkin lymphoma while lupus lymphadenitis,cat-scratch disease,Sweet’s syndrome,Still’s disease,drug eruptions,infectious mononucleosis,and viral or tubercular lymphadenitis are other common *** needle aspiration cytology mostly has features of nonspecific reactive lymphadenitis and immunohistochemistry studies usually show variable features of uncertain diagnostic *** its diagnosis is exclusively from histopathology,it needs to be evaluated more carefully;an early lymph node biopsy will obviate the need for unnecessary investigations and therapeutic *** treatment with systemic corticosteroids,hydroxychloroquine,or antimicrobial agents mostly remains *** article reviews clinicoepidemiological,diagnostic,and management aspects of kFD from the perspective of practicing clinicians.

The influence of spark plasma sintering temperatures on the microstructure,hardness,and elastic modulus of the nanocrystalline Al-xV alloys produced by high-energy ball milling

Al-xV alloys(x=2 at.%,5 at.%,10 at.%)with nanocrystalline structure and high solid solubility of V were produced in powder form by high-energy ball milling(HEBM).The alloy powders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering(SPS)employing a wide range of temperatures ranging from 200 to 400°*** microstructure and solid solubility of V in Al were investigated using X-ray diffraction analysis,scanning electron microscope and transmission electron *** microstructure was influenced by the SPS temperature and V content of the *** alloys exhibited high solid solubility of V–six orders of magnitude higher than that in equilibrium state and grain size<50 nm at all the SPS *** formation of Al3V intermetallic was detected at 400℃.Formation of a V-lean phase and bimodal grain size was observed during SPS,which increased with the increase in SPS *** hardness and elastic modulus,measured using nanoindentation,were significantly higher than commercial *** example,Al-V alloy produced by SPS at 200℃ exhibited a hardness of 5.21 GPa along with elastic modulus of 96.21 *** evolution of the microstructure and hardness with SPS temperatures has been discussed.

The multi-analysis modeling of a complex system is the act of building a family of models which allows to cover a large spectrum of analysis methods(such as simulation,formal methods,enactment,...)that can be performed to derive various properties of this *** High-Level Language for Systems Specification(HiLLS)has recently been introduced as a graphical language for discrete event simulation,with potential for other types of analysis,like enactment for rapid system *** defines an automata language that also opens the way to formal *** paper provides the building blocks for such a *** way,a unique model can be used not only to perform both simulation and enactment experiments but also to allow the logical analysis of properties without running any ***,it saves from the effort of building three different analysis-specific models and the need to align them semantically.

This study explores how zirconia additive interacts with MgH_(2)to improve its hydrogen storage *** it is confirmed that the zirconia added MgH_(2)powder releases hydrogen at a temperature of about 50℃below that of the additive free MgH_(2).Subsequent tests by X ray diffraction(XRD)and infrared(IR)spectroscopy techniques reveal that the ZrO_(2) mixed MgH_(2)powder contains ZrHx(21.5)and MgO secondary *** observation is supported by the negative Gibbs free energy values obtained for the formation of ZrH_(2)/MgO from ZrO_(2)/MgH_(2)powder *** X ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)study reveals that apart from Zr^(4+)cations,Zr^(2+) and zero valent Zr exist in the *** force microscopy(AFM)study reveals that the average grain size is 20 nm and the elemental line scan profiles further proves the existence of oxygen deficient Zr bearing phase(s).This study strengthens the belief that functional metal oxide additives in fact chemically interact with MgH_(2)to make active in-situ catalysts in the MgH_(2)system.

Barley(Hordeum vulgare L.)grasses(BG)have attracted considerable interest due to their multiple physiological activities and health *** this paper,eight BG at four different growth stages were collected:seedling,tillering,stem elongation,and heading,and their product qualities and biological activities were examined and *** demonstrated that harvest time obviously influenced proximate composition,surface color,and amino acid profile.Z21 and Z23 harvested at the seedling and early tillering stages,respectively,had higher total phenolic content(TPC)and total flavonoid content(TFC)than the other ***,Z21 and Z23 possessed better DPPH radical-scavenging ability,antioxidant capacity,andα-glucosidase inhibitory activity,which were positively correlated with TPC,TFC,and protein and total amino acid *** findings suggested that the early tillering stages were the preferable harvest times for BG with good product quality and biological properties.

Effects of L-arginine and L-citrulline supplementation in reduced protein diets for broilers under normal and cyclic warm temperature

Heat stress causes significant economic losses in the broiler *** supplementation of arginine(Arg)and citrulline(Cit)might increase the performance of broilers raised under warm temperature due to vasodilation *** study investigated the effects of L-Arg or L-Cit supplementation in broilers fed a reduced protein wheat-based diet deficient in Arg under thermoneutral(NT)and cyclic warm temperature(WT).Ross 308 cockerels(n=720)were randomly allocated to 4 dietary treatments with 12 replicates of 15 birds per pen from d 7 to *** 4 treatments were:normal protein(NP),i.e.,22.3%and 20.9%crude protein in grower and finisher,respectively;reduced protein(RP),i.e.,2.5%lower protein and deficient in Arg;and RP supplemented with 0.28%Arg(RP-Arg)or 0.28%Cit(RP-Cit).A factorial arrangement of treatments was applied during the finisher phase(21 to 35 d).Factors were:diet(4 diets above);and temperature,NT(24℃)or cyclic WT(33±1℃for 6 h per day)with 6 replicate pens per *** 7 to 35 d and 21 to 35 d,the birds fed the RP diet had lower body weight gain(BWG)and higher FCR compared to the NP diet(Pke(FI),lower BWG(P0.05)compared to birds exposed to *** by temperature interactions were not observed for performance parameters during the period of WT(P>0.05).On d 35,the RP-fed birds had a lower yield of thigh and drumstick,higher fat pad,lower femur ash,and breaking strength but similar serum uric acid level and higher nitrogen digestibility on d 21 compared to those offered NP(P<0.05).Supplementation of Arg or Cit to RP resulted in increased femur ash on d 35(P<0.05).Thus,feeding the NP diets is necessary to maintain growth performance in broilers regardless of the temperature conditions.

Introduction“There is a kink(shoulder)on[the]Lys peak...”These words scribed in Richard ***’s laboratory notebook marked the discovery of protein methylation and a segue into a new field of scientific research[1].Initially,through ion-exchange chromatography and two-dimensional paper chromatography of the hydrolysate of Salmonella typhimurium flagellin,this“kink”was interpreted as a“new amino acid”,the e-Nmethyl-lysine(NML).This discovery,bolstered by a subsequent examination of purified NML,was the first glimpse of protein methylation in living cells[1].
