Silicon(Si)has mild discharge potential and high theoretical capacity,making it a highly desirable material for lithium-ion batteries(LiBs).Nevertheless,the excessive volume expansion,poor ion/electron conductiv ity and unstable solid electrolyte interface(SEi)hinde practical application to ***,the metallic antimony(Sb)stabilized porous Si(SiDSb)composite was prepared by magnesiothermic reduction of Sb_(2)O_(3)and Mg_(2)Si and chemical etching to remove the by-product of *** highly conductive Sb nanodots embedded in the Si liga ments promote not only the formation of conductive and stable LiF-rich SEi,but also the electron/ion transpor ability of *** to the outstanding bulk.interface stability,excellent conductivity,as well as ideal porous structure,the SiDSb electrode demonstrates a capacity of820 mAh·g^(-1)after undergoing 320 turns at 1000 mA·g^(-1).Additionally,it exhibits a stable capacity of 675 m Ah·g^(-1)when tested at a higher current density of 5000 m A·g^(-1).The results reveal a viable solution to solve three problems at the same time,namely the poor conductivity,inferior SEi and excessive volume expansion of Si,boding well for the design of Si-based materials for high-energy LiBs.

Elastic three-dimensional phononic topological insulators with Dirac hierarchy

Three-dimensional(3D)phononic topological insulators(Tis)featuring two-dimensional(2D)surface states and one-dimensional(1D)hinge states have opened up a new route for multi-dimensional robust wave transport,providing unprecedented methods for integrated acoustic sensors and energy harvesting ***,aiming at the elastic 3D phononic Ti with gapless surface states and hinge states,the realization of elastic 3D phononic Tis with gapless surface states and hinge states is a significant challenge due to the complicated multi-mode polarization of elastic waves in 3D *** this study,we demonstrate an elastic 3D phononic Ti with a Dirac hierarchy by elaborately operating the corresponding spatial symmetries of the chiral honeycomb ***,a 3D double Dirac cone of elastic wave can be achieved by doubling the lattice along the outof-plane direction to fold two iso-frequency Weyl *** topological phase transitions and 2D gapless two-fold Dirac surface states of elastic wave are realized by breaking the half-lattice spatial translation ***,based on the Brillouin zone folding along the in-plane direction,the 2D gapless two-fold surface Dirac cones are folded into four-fold surface Dirac ***,by inducing the relative radius of adjacent holes to break the in-plane spatial inversion symmetry,the fourfold surface Dirac cones are gapped and associated with a surface state inversion,in which the gapless 1D hinge Dirac dispersion is *** research offers a route for engineering the hierarchies of Tis in 3D elastic wave systems and provides new possibilities for designing 3D ultrasonic devices with unconventional functions.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),a prevalent solid carcinoma of significant concern,is an aggressive and often fatal disease with increasing global incidence rates and poor therapeutic *** etiology and pathological progression of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)-related HCC is multifactorial and ***,no single animal model can accurately mimic the full NASH-related HCC pathological progression,posing considerable challenges to transition and mechanistic ***,a novel conditional inducible wild-type human HRAS overexpressed mouse model(HRAS-HCC)was established,demonstrating 100%morbidity and mortality within approximately one month under normal dietary and lifestyle *** symptoms of HCC such as ascites,thrombus,internal hemorrhage,jaundice,and lung metastasis were successfully replicated in ***-depth pathological features of NASH-related HCC were demonstrated by pathological staining,biochemical analyses,and typical marker gene *** murine anti-PD-1 and sorafenib treatment effectively prolonged mouse survival,further confirming the accuracy and reliability of the *** on protein-protein interaction(PPi)network and RNA sequencing analyses,we speculated that overexpression of HRAS may initiate the THBS1-COL4A3 axis to induce NASH with severe fibrosis,with subsequent progression to ***,our study successfully duplicated natural sequential progression in a single murine model over a very short period,providing an accurate and reliable preclinical tool for therapeutic evaluations targeting the NASH to HCC continuum.

intermittent fasting can benefit breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or ***,it is still uncertain how to select immunotherapy drugs to combine with intermittent *** we observed that two cycles of fasting treatment significantly inhibited breast tumor growth and lung tissue metastasis,as well as prolonged overall survival in mice bearing 4T1 and 4T07 breast *** this process,both the immunosuppressive monocytic-(M-)and granulocytic-(G-)myeloid-derived suppressor cell(MDSC)decreased,accompanied by an increase in interleukin(iL)7R^(+)and granzyme B^(+)T cells in the tumor ***,we observed that Ly6G^(low)G-MDSC sharply decreased after fasting treatment,and the cell surface markers and protein mass spectrometry data showed potential therapeutic *** investigation revealed that glucose metabolism restriction suppressed the splenic granulocytemonocyte progenitor and the generation of colony-stimulating factors and iL-6,which both contributed to the accumulation of *** the other hand,glucose metabolism restriction can directly induce the apoptosis of Ly6G^(low)G-MDSC,but not Ly6G^(high)*** summary,these results suggest that glucose metabolism restriction induced by fasting treatment attenuates the immune-suppressive milieu and enhances the activation of CD3^(+)T cells,providing potential solutions for enhancing immune-based cancer interventions.

Phase transition of multi-component(TiZrVNb)C ceramics—Part ii:From single phase to multiple phases via adjusting V content

To address the relatively mediocre mechanical properties of single-phase multi-component carbide ceramics,a phase transition from a single phase to multiple phases was proposed to achieve superior mechanical properties.A series of(TiZrV_(x)Nb)C_(0.8) ceramics with different V contents were fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS).The influence of the V content on the phase composition,microstructural evolution,and mechanical properties was investigated in *** transition behavior from a single phase to multiple phases is discovered and *** formation of the Zr-rich phase and Zr-poor phase can be attributed to the increase in lattice distortion and mixed enthalpy caused by the addition of V.A nanometer lamellar structure with a semi-coherent interface obtained via in situ decomposition is reported for the first time in multi-component carbide *** semi-coherent interfaces with high dislocation density and strain concentration effectively improve the mechanical properties,grain refinement,and multi-phase *** optimal comprehensive mechanical properties of the Vickers hardness(26.3 GPa),flexural strength(369 MPa),and fracture toughness(3.1 MPa·m^(1/2))were achieved for the sample with 20 mol%V.
