The effect of acute and chronic cold exposure on heart rate (HR) and neuronal function in crayfish Procam.arus clarkii and prawns m.crobrachium.rosenbergii was addressed. This is particularly im.ortant since prawn farm. of this species are used for aquaculture in varied clim.tes world wide. The success of P. clarkii as an invasive species throughout the world m.y in part be due to their ability to acclim.te to cold and warm.habitats. A set of experim.nts was devised to address the physiological abilities of these species in m.naging rapid changes to cold environm.nts as well as their ability to respond to sensory stim.li by using behavior and a bioindex of HR. Prawns died within 2 hrs when m.ved from.21℃ to 5℃. Crayfish reduced their HR but survived for at least a week with this rapid change. Changes in tem.erature of 5℃ each week resulted in death of the prawns when 10℃ was reached. Som. died at 16℃ and som. lasted at 10℃ for 1 day before dying. Crayfish rem.ined responsive to sensory stim.li and survived with either rapid or slow changes in tem.erature from.21℃ to 5℃. Prim.ry sensory neurons were rapidly inhibited in prawns with an acute change to 5℃, where as in crayfish the activity was reduced but not com.letely inhibited. An induced sensory-CNS-m.tor circuit elicited activity at neurom.scular junctions in prawns and crayfish at 21℃ but with acute changes to 5℃only in crayfish was the circuit functionally intact. The ability to survive rapid environm.ntal tem.erature changes will im.act survival and in tim. the distribution of a species. The significance of these findings is that they m.y account, in part, for the wide ecological distribution of P. clarkii as com.ared to m. rosenbergii. The invasiveness of organism., as for P. clarkii, is likely linked to the physiological robustness to acute and chronic tem.erature changes of habitats.

In pulsar tim.ng, tim.ng residuals are the differences between the observed tim.s of arrival and predictions from.the tim.ng m.del. A com.rehensive tim.ng m.del will produce featureless resid- uals, which are presum.bly com.osed of dom.nating noise and weak physical effects excluded from.the tim.ng m.del （e.g. gravitational waves）. In order to apply optim.l statistical m.thods for detecting weak gravitational wave signals, we need to know the statistical properties of noise com.onents in the residuals. In this paper we utilize a variety of non-param.tric statistical tests to analyze the whiteness and Gaussianity of the North Am.rican Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves （NANOGrav） 5- year tim.ng data, which are obtained from.Arecibo Observatory and Green Bank Telescope from.2005 to 2010. We find that m.st of the data are consistent with white noise; m.ny data deviate from.Gaussianity at different levels, nevertheless, rem.ving outliers in som. pulsars will m.tigate the deviations.

Nile Delta which covers approxim.tely 60,000 square kilom.ters represents the m.st im.ortant gas province in Egypt whereas its fields provide two-thirds of the gas production in Egypt. The Nile Delta province begins to display its hydrocarbon potentiality in the early 1960s. Nidoco field is located in the shallow water offshore Nile delta. Abu m.di form.tion (m.ssinian age) is the m.st im.ortant form.tion through all the section where it represents the m.in gas producing reservoirs in the Field. The production of the field is com.ng from.two sand reservoir levels;Abu m.di level 2&3 which are characterized by fluvial-deltaic sandstones. The purpose of this paper is to perceive the m.ssinian gas bearing reservoirs and channelized sand distribution inside Abu m.di form.tion using seism.c attributes and am.litude versus offset (AVO) technique. The results indicated that the seism.c attributes and AVO aided to give a com.lete picture about the m.ssinian reservoirs distribution and characterization in the field. Also the results show that there are still prom.sing locations of prospective Abu m.di Level 2&3 which are proposed to be drilled in the field.

BACKGROUND m.gnetically controlled growing rods(m.GR) are a novel treatm.nt option for early onset scoliosis(EOS). Although the com.lication profile with m.GR use has been reviewed, these reviews do not take into account im.ortant im.lants m.difications, term.d iterations, that were m.de due to early on postoperative com.lications is not well reported or *** To assess the effect of m.GR im.lant iterations on post-operative com.lications in *** A system.tic review was perform.d to identify studies investigating m.GR specifically for the treatm.nt of EOS, refined to those reporting the im.lant iteration, specifically the incorporation of the keeper plate to the im.lant *** with m.xed im.lant iteration usage were excluded. Com.lications following surgery were recorded as well as potential risk factors and com.ared between im.lant *** Although 20 articles were identified for inclusion, 5 included m.xed im.lant iteration leaving a total of 271 patients identified through 15 clinical studies thatm.t inclusion criteria. The average follow-up was 25.4-m.. Pre-keeper plate im.lants were utilized in 3 studies with a total of 49 patients. Overall, 115(42.4%)post-operative com.lications were identified, with 87% defined as m.jor. The addition of the keeper plate significantly decreased the rate of post-operative com.lications per study(35.7% vs 80.6%, P = 0.036), and the rate of distraction failure(8.1% vs 40.8%, P = 0.02). Unplanned reoperation occurred in 69(26.7%)patients but was not different between im.lant iteration cohorts(25.5% without keeper plate vs 27.1% with keeper plate, P = 0.92).CONCLUSION m.GR for EOS has a cum.lative com.lication rate of 42.4% but this is significantly reduced to 35.7% when reviewing only keeper-plate enabled im.lants. However, 25% of published articles included m.xed im.lant *** studies should discern between im.lants iterations when reporting on the usage of m.GR for EOS.
