Small mountainous rivers are characterized by large instantaneous fluxes and susceptible to extreme weather events,which can rapidly transport materials into the sea and have a significant impact on the ecological environment of estuaries and *** order to investigate the seasonal characteristics of nutrients in small mountainous rivers in the subtropical monsoon region and the output pattern to the sea during heavy precipitation,surveys on the mountainous rivers were carried out in Baixi watershed in August 2020(wet season),March 2021(dry season)and June 2021(Meiyu period).The results showed that the dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN)of the rivers has an average concentration of 752μg L^(−1)in the wet season and 1472μg L^(−1)in the dry *** concentrations of dissolved inorganic phosphorus(DIP)in wet season and dry season were 63μg L^(−1)and 51μg L^(−1),*** by the changes of land use in sub-watersheds,DIN concentrations in the mainstream increased from 701μg L^(−1)in the upper reaches to 1284μg L^(−1)in the middle *** rainstorms during the Meiyu period in the watershed caused the pulse runoff in the *** maximum daily runoff reached 70 times that before *** maximum daily fluxes of DIN and DIP were 109 and 247 times that before rains,*** view that the watershed experienced several rainstorms in the wet season,the river,with pulse runoff,carries a large amount of nutrients into the sea in a short time,which will have a significant impact on the environment of Sanmen bay and its adjacent sea.

J-aggregates of cyanine have shown great merits in tumor photothermal therapy(PTT)due to their distinct redshift absorption as well as superior photothermal conversion efficiency(PCE).However,due to the complexity of intermolecular interactions,especially the impact of steric hindrance on aggregation,exploring effective strategies to regulate the aggregation modes of organic materials remains ***,steric hindrance-regulated J-aggregation of near-infrared(NIR)cyanine was reported based on Pt-coordinated cyanine self-assembly with unexpected“butterfly effect”.Two Pt-coordinated cyanine dimers CyR-Pt(R=Me and Et)were synthesized and spontaneously self-assembled into aggregates in aqueous ***-Pt aggregates were loose and amorphous *** replacing ethyl with methyl to reduce steric hindrance,a tiny change resulted in the generation of tightly stacked cyanine J-aggregates(thickness less than 3 nm)observed in CyMe-Pt ***,this unexpected“butterfly effect”enabled CyMe-Pt J-aggregates to effectively inhibit reactive oxygen species and greatly improve its ***,CyMe-Pt J-aggregates with NIR-II absorption exhibited outstanding photothermal stability and higher PCE(η=37%)than CyEt-Pt disordered aggregates(η=20%).Evident tumor suppression performance of CyMe-Pt J-aggregates was validated under 980 nm laser irradiation,demonstrating its great potential in tumor PTT.

Disinfection by chloramination produces toxic byproducts and the difference in toxicity of reclaimed and drinking water treated by chloramination remains *** study investigated cytotoxic effects at the same concentrations of dissolved organic matter and showed that chloraminated effluent organic matter(EfOM)induced 1.7 times higher cytotoxicity than chloraminated natural organic matter(NOM)applied to simulate drinking *** EfOM induced more reactive nitrogen species than chloraminated NOM,and chloraminated EfOM and NOM induced similar and higher levels of reactive oxygen species than the negative control,***,intracellular macromolecule damage indicated by DNA/RNA damage marker 8–hydroxy-(deoxy)guanosine and the intracellular protein carbonyl concentration induced by chloraminated EfOM was higher and slightly more than that induced by chloraminated NOM,*** data were consistent with the effects on cell physiological *** cycle arrest mainly occurred in G2 phase by chloraminated EfOM and *** apoptotic cells,which could return to normal,increased upon exposure to high concentrations of chloraminated EfOM and ***,necrotic cells were significantly increased from 0.5%to 2.5%when the concentration increased from 20-to 60-fold chloraminated EfOM,but were not obviously changed by chloraminated *** results indicated that the comprehensive intracellular changes induced by toxic substances in chloraminated EfOM were more irreversible and induced more cell death than chloraminated NOM.
