Digital infrared thermography is suitable for monitoring the planar two-dimensional temperature distribution of curved surfaces of objects by sensing their infrared radiation. Cardiac infrared thermography also has a thermal coronary angiography alias. This study proposes a digital image processing methodology for locating blood clot blockage. This methodology contains four consequent processes. The two-dimensional gray scale infrared thermograph pixels are first binarized and classified as background or coronary arteries using multi-thresh adaptive *** coronary artery contours are extracted from segmented raw pixels using continuous pepper-like pixel removal,erosion,subtraction,recursive neighborhood visiting,contour point-list construction and short edge *** the third process one coronary artery branch is selected by physicians for calculating the longest curved central axis using morphological thinning and neighborhood analysis. In the last process the nearest left and right distances from each pixel along the directional central axis to its corresponding boundary contour are added as the coronary artery variable diameter at the current pixel's position. A variable diameter versus straighten length diagram along this axial curved path is plotted to provide useful physiological information to the physician. An obstruction rate equation is then defined to calculate the possible vascular blockage positions with the local minimal rates. Finally,preoperative cases are tested to prove the predictive positions are correct in comparison to individual patient myocardial perfusion imaging.

Background:Metabolism is sex-different,and the direct link between gut microbiota and aging-associated metabolic changes needs to be established in both ***:Gene expression,metabolic and inflammatory signaling,gut microbiota profile,and metabolome were studied during aging and after fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)in mice of both ***:Our data revealed young female mice and aged male mice were the most insulin sensitive and resistant group,*** addition,aging reduced sex difference in insulin *** age-and sex-dependent metabolic phenotypes were accompanied by shifted gut microbiota profile and altered abundance of bacterial genes that produce butyrate,propionate,and bile *** receiving feces from the aged males(AFMT),the most insulin-resistant group,recipients of both sexes had increased hepatic inflammation and serum ***,AFMT only increased insulin resistance in female mice and abolished sex difference in insulin ***,such changes were accompanied by narrowed sex difference in *** data revealed that age-associated insulin resistance in males was accompanied by increased sugar alcohols and dicarboxylic acids as well as reduced aromatic and branched-chain amino ***,receiving feces from the young females(YFMT),the most insulin-sensitive group,reduced body weight and fasting blood glucose in male recipients and improved insulin sensitivity in females,leading to enhanced sex differences in insulin sensitivity and ***:Aging systemically affected inflammatory and metabolic signaling based on the *** microbiome is age and sex-specific,which affects inflammation and metabolism in a sex-dependent manner.

Graphene has demonstrated its potential in several practical applications owing to its remarkable electronic and physical properties. In this study, we successfully fabricated a suspended graphene device with a width down to 20 nm. The morphological evolution of graphene under various electric field effects was systematically examined using an in-situ transmission electron microscope （TEM）. The hourglass-shaped graphene sample instantly broke apart at 7.5 mA, indicating an impressive breakdown current density. The current-carrying capacity was calculated to be -1.6 × 10^9 ***-2, which is several orders higher than that of copper. The current-carrying capacity depended on the resistivity of graphene. In addition, atomic volume changes occurred in the multilayer graphene samples due to surface diffusion and Ostwald ripening （OR）, indicating that the breakdown mechanism is well approximated by the electric field. This study not only provides a theory to explain the breakdown behavior but also presents the effects on materials contacted with a graphene layer used as the transmission path.

The four diversion tunnels at Jinping Ⅱ hydropower station represent the deepest underground project yet conducted in China, with an overburden depth of 1500-2000 m and a maximum depth of 2525 *** tunnel structure was subjected to a maximum external water pressure of 10.22 MPa and the maximum single-point groundwater inflow of 7.3 m^3/s. The success of the project construction was related to numerous challenging issues such as the stability of the rock mass surrounding the deep tunnels, strong rockburst prevention and control, and the treatment of high-pressure, large-volume groundwater infiltration. During the construction period, a series of new technologies was developed for the purpose of risk control in the deep tunnel project. Nondestructive sampling and in-situ measurement technologies were employed to fully characterize the formation and development of excavation damaged zones（EDZs）, and to evaluate the mechanical behaviors of deep rocks. The time effect of marble fracture propagation, the brittleeductileeplastic transition of marble, and the temporal development of rock mass fracture and damage induced by high geostress were characterized. The safe construction of deep tunnels was achieved under a high risk of strong rockburst using active measures, a support system comprised of lining, grouting, and external water pressure reduction techniques that addressed the coupled effect of high geostress, high external water pressure, and a comprehensive early-warning system. A complete set of technologies for the treatment of high-pressure and large-volume groundwater infiltration was developed. Monitoring results indicated that the Jinping II hydropower station has been generally stable since it was put into operation in 2014.

AIM： To investigate the association of polymorphisms of nur-related receptor 1 （Nurrl） and development of alcohol dependence in Mexican Americans. METHODS： Peripheral blood samples were collected from 374 alcoholic and 346 nonalcoholic Mexican Amer- icans; these two groups were sex- and age-matched. Sample DNA was extracted and genomic DNA was amplified by polymerase chain reaction. The -2922（C） 2-3 polymerase chain reaction products were digested with Sau96I, alleles of 1345（G/C）, and -1198（C/G） in the regulatory region as well as Ex＋132 （G/T/A/C） and Ex＋715（T/-） in exon 3 were studied by sequencing. RESULTS： The C2/C2, C2/C3, C3/C3 genotype distribu- tion of -2922（C） 2-3 was 34.4%, 38.2% and 27.5% in the nonalcoholic group compared to 23.3%, 51.2% and 25.4% in the alcoholic group （P = 0.001）. The C/C, C/G ,G/G genotype distribution of -1198（C/6） was 23.5%, 46.1% and 30.3% in the nonalcoholic group compared to 13.9%, 50.9% and 35.3% in the alcoholic group （P = 0.007）. However, the -1345 （G/C）, Ex3＋132（G/T/A/C） and Ex3＋715（T/-） alleles were not polymorphic in Mex- ican Americans, and all those studied had G/G, G/G and T/T genotype for these three alleles, respectively. The -2922（C） 2-3 did not show allele level difference be- tween alcoholic and nonalcoholic individuals, but -1198 （C/G） showed a significant allele frequency difference between alcoholic （39.3%） and nonalcoholic （46.6%） populations （P = 0.005）. Excluding obese individuals, significant differences were found at both genotypic and allelic levels for the -2922（C） 2-3 polymorphism （P = 0.000 and P = 0.049） and the -1198 （C/G） polymor- phism （P = 0.008 and P = 0.032） between nonobese alcoholics and nonobese controls. Excluding smokers, a significant difference was found only at the genotypic level for the -2922（C） 2-3 polymorphism （P = 0.037） between nonsmoking alcoholics and nonsmoking con- trols, but only at the allelic level for the -1198（C/G） polymorphism （P = 0.034）.
