When data privacy is imposed as a necessity,Federated learning(FL)emerges as a relevant artificial intelligence field for developing machine learning(ML)models in a distributed and decentralized *** allows ML models to be trained on local devices without any need for centralized data transfer,thereby reducing both the exposure of sensitive data and the possibility of data interception by malicious third *** paradigm has gained momentum in the last few years,spurred by the plethora of real-world applications that have leveraged its ability to improve the efficiency of distributed learning and to accommodate numerous participants with their data *** virtue of FL,models can be learned from all such distributed data sources while preserving data *** aim of this paper is to provide a practical tutorial on FL,including a short methodology and a systematic analysis of existing software ***,our tutorial provides exemplary cases of study from three complementary perspectives:i)Foundations of FL,describing the main components of FL,from key elements to FL categories;ii)Implementation guidelines and exemplary cases of study,by systematically examining the functionalities provided by existing software frameworks for FL deployment,devising a methodology to design a FL scenario,and providing exemplary cases of study with source code for different ML approaches;and iii)Trends,shortly reviewing a non-exhaustive list of research directions that are under active investigation in the current FL *** ultimate purpose of this work is to establish itself as a referential work for researchers,developers,and data scientists willing to explore the capabilities of FL in practical applications.

This study examines the role of the syntactic complexity of the text in the reading comprehension skills of *** the qualitative method of research,this paper used structured interview questions as the main data-gathering *** language teachers from Coral na Munti National High School were selected as the respondents of the *** of the study suggests that the syntactic complexity of the text affects the reading comprehension of the *** found it challenging to understand the message that the author conveyed if he or she used a large number of phrases and clauses in one ***,the complex sentence syntactic structure was deemed the most challenging for students to *** overcome said challenges in comprehending text,various reading intervention programs were utilized by *** interventions include focused or targeted instruction and the implementation of the Project Dear,suggested by the Department of *** programs were proven to help students improve their comprehension as well as their knowledge in syntactical structure of *** study underscores the importance of selecting appropriate reading materials and implementing suitable reading intervention programs to enhance students’comprehension skills.

Nitric oxide(NO)is an essential reactive oxygen species and a signal molecule in *** several studies have proposed the occurrence of oxidative NO production,only reductive routes for NO production,such as the nitrate(NO_(3)^(-))-upper-reductase pathway,have been evidenced to date in land ***,plants grown axenically with ammonium as the sole source of nitrogen exhibit contents of nitrite and NO3−,evidencing the existence of a metabolic pathway for oxidative production of *** hypothesized that oximes,such as indole-3-acetaldoxime(IAOx),a precursor to indole-3-acetic acid,are intermediate oxidation products in NO *** detected the production of NO from IAOx and other oximes catalyzed by peroxidase(POD)enzyme using both 4-amino-5-methylamino-2′,7′-difluorescein fluorescence and *** stimulated the reaction,while superoxide dismutase inhibited ***,mouse NO synthase can also use IAOx to produce NO at a lower rate than *** provided a full mechanism for POD-dependent NO production from IAOx consistent with the experimental data and supported by density functional theory *** showed that the addition of IAOx to extracts from Medicago truncatula increased the in vitro production of NO,while in vivo supplementation of IAOx and other oximes increased the number of lateral roots,as shown for NO donors,and a more than 10-fold increase in IAOx dehydratase ***,we found that in vivo supplementation of IAOx increased NO production in Arabidopsis thaliana wild-type plants,while prx33-34 mutant plants,defective in POD33-34,had reduced *** data show that the release of NO by IAOx,as well as its auxinic effect,explain the superroot ***,our study reveals that plants produce NO utilizing diverse molecules such as oximes,POD,and flavins,which are widely distributed in the plant kingdom,thus introducing a long-awaited oxidative pathway to NO production in plants.T

The constant need for high-strength materials in the construction industry promotes the research of additives that improve the properties of masonry materials. The use of allophane as an additive in concrete and mortar mixtures was implemented to improve their strength and waterproofing, respectively, using compression and water absorption tests according to their corresponding standards (ASTM C1231, ASTM D2938, and ASTM C1585). The samples were evaluated at different concentrations and curing ages. In addition, different sand/cement ratios were considered for the mortar. The results revealed that there was a 9.4% increase in compressive strength in concrete and a 23.7% reduction in water absorption in mortar for the 5:1 ratio. These changes would be the result of the interaction of the nanoporous additive in the atomic crystal structure of the material demonstrating the nanotechnological nature of allophane.

Objective： The present study aimed to evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of far infrared-emitting ceramics （cFIRs） in a model of persistent inflammatory hyperalgesia and to elucidate the possible mechanisms of these effects. Methods： Mice were injected with complete Freund＇s adjuvant （CFA） and treated with cFIRs via place- ment on a pad impregnated with cFIRs on the bottom of the housing unit for different periods of time. Mice underwent mechanical hyperalgesia and edema assessments, and tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α）, interleukin-1β （IL-1β） and IL-10 levels were measured. Twenty-four hours after CFA injection and 30 min before cFIR treatment, mice were pretreated with a nonselective adenosinergic antagonist, caffeine, the selective adenosine receptor A antagonist, 1,3-dipropyl-8-cyclopentylxanthine （DPCPX）, the selective cannabinoid receptor type 1 antagonist, AM281, the selective cannabinoid receptor type 2 antagonist, AM630, or the nonselective opioid receptor antagonist, naloxone, and mechanical hyperalge- sia was assessed. Results： cFIRs statistically （P 〈 0.05） decreased CFA-induced mechanical hyperalgesia （82.86 ±5.21）% in control group vs （56.67±9.54）% in cFIR group） and edema （（1699.0 ± 77.8） gm in control group vs （988.7±107.6） gm in cFIR group）, cFIRs statistically （P 〈 0.05） reduced TNF-α （0.478± 0.072） pg/mg of protein in control group vs （0.273 ±0.055） pg/mg of protein in cFIR group） and IL-113 （（95.81 ± 3.95） pg/mg of protein in control group vs （80.61 ±4.71）pg/mg of protein in cFIR group） levels and statistically （P〈 0.05） increased IL-10 （（18.32 ±0.78） pg/mg of protein in control group vs （25.89 ±1.23） pg/mg of protein in cFIR group） levels in post-CFA-injected paws. We address the bodyguard allocation problem （BAP）, an optimization problem that illustrates the conflict of interest between two classes of processes with contradictory preferences within a distributed system. While a class of processes prefers to minimize its distance to a particular process called the root, the other class prefers to maximize it; at the same time, all the processes seek to build a communication spanning tree with the maximum social welfare. The two state-of-the-art algorithms for this problem always guarantee the generation of a spanning tree that satisfies a condition of Nash equilibrium in the system; however, such a tree does not necessarily produce the maximum social welfare. In this paper, we propose a two-player coalition cooperative scheme for BAP, which allows some processes to perturb or break a Nash equilibrium to find another one with a better social welfare. By using this cooperative scheme, we propose a new algorithm called FFC-BAPs for BAP. We present both theoretical and empirical analyses which show that this algorithm produces better quality approximate solutions than former algorithms for BAP.
