One of the m.st critical issues in the evaluation of power system. is the identification of critical buses. For this purpose, this paper proposes a new m.thodology that evaluates the substitution of the power flow technique by the geodesic vulnerability index to identify critical nodes in power *** m.thods are applied com.aratively to dem.nstrate the scope of the proposed approach. The applicability of the m.thodology is illustrated using the IEEE 118-bus test system.as a case study. To identify the critical com.onents, a node is initially disconnected, and the perform.nce of the resulting topology is evaluated in the face of sim.lations for m.ltiple cascading faults. Cascading events are sim.lated by random.y rem.ving assets on a system.that continually changes its structure with the elim.nation of each com.onent. Thus, the classification of the critical nodes is determ.ned by evaluating the resulting perform.nce of 118 different topologies and calculating the dam.ged area for each of the disintegration curves of cascading failures. In sum.ary, the feasibility and suitability of com.lex network theory are justified to identify critical nodes in power system..

The phytohorm.ne abscisic acid(ABA)regulates m.ltiple physiological processes such as em.ryo m.rphogenesis,seed m.turation and germ.nation,leaf senescence,fruit ripening,and stress adaptation(Gupta et al.,2020).ABA levels quickly rise in response to conditions leading to water deficit,including the developm.ntal processes of seed drying and dorm.ncy,as well as early post-germ.native growth(Chen et al.,2020).Several proteins,com.only regarded as the ABA signaling core com.onents,have been identified.

Urban road dust was collected from.Vellore City,Tam.l Nadu,India,and *** electron m.croscopy(SEm.was used to exam.ne road dust from.nine sam.ling locations in the study *** im.ge analysis was used to identify various shape factors of collected dust *** equivalent spherical diam.ter of m.st particles was between 10μm.and 30μ*** particles had greater concentrations at locations with higher traffic *** were categorized into four classes based on their shape factors,viz.,spherical,m.neral,elongated,or *** particles had the sm.llest m.an equivalent diam.ter(1.95μm.and m.neral particles had the largest diam.ter(33.3μm..Spherical particles m.de up the sm.llest portion of road dust(0-12%)in the study region and m.neral particles m.de up the largest(45-65%).Elongated and irregular particles,each m.de up 23-30%of road *** dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis was used to identify the elem.ntal com.osition of dust *** particles were m.stly from.com.ustion sources and m.neral particles were largely of crustal *** individual source was found for irregular and elongated *** debris was the m.jor source of irregular particles.

The use of steel-m.king slag as catalysts for m.crowave-assisted dry reform.ng of CH4 was studied. Two carbon m.terials (an activated carbon and a m.tallurgical coke), m.xtures of the carbon m.terials and Fe-rich slag, and m.xtures of the carbon m.terials and Ni/Al2O3 were tested as catalysts. The m.xtures of slag with carbons gave rise to higher and steadier conversions than those achieved over the carbon m.terials alone. In addition, the use of the m.tallurgical coke m.xed with m.tal-rich catalysts gave rise to rem.rkable results. Thus, no CH4 and CO2 conversions were achieved when coke was used alone, whereas high conversions were obtained when it was m.xed with the m.tal-rich catalysts.

A vast num.er of physical processes involving oscillations of a bounded viscous fluid are relevantly influenced by acoustic stream.ng. When this happens a steady circulation of fluid develops in a thin boundary adjacent to the interface. Som. exam.les are refracted sound waves, a fluid inside a spherical cavity undergoing torsional oscillations or a pulsating liquid droplet. Steady stream.ng around circular interfaces consists of a hem.spherically sym.etric recirculation of fluid from.the equatorial plane to the polar axes closely resem.ling the m.ridional circulation pattern observed in the Sun＇s convection zone that determ.nes the solar cycle. In this paper, it is argued that the acoustic pulsations exhibited by the Sun would lead to acoustic stream.ng in the boundary of the convection zone. A sim.le estim.tion using a typical dom.nant frequency of 3 m.z and the observed surface oscillation am.litude yields a steady stream.ng velocity Us - 10 m.s^-1, which is on the order of the m.ridional circulation velocity observed in the Sun＇s convection zone.

Influence of High Dilutions of Cina for the Control of m.loidogyne incognita in Tom.to Plants

Considering the im.ortance of the tom.to crop and the high costs for controlling m.loidogyne incognita with resistant cultivar or nem.ticides, it is necessary for the search of new alternatives to m.nage the root-knot disease. The hom.opathy m.y be an alternative way of control, by inducing plant resistance. This study aim.d to evaluate the influence of the hom.opathic product Cina at dynam.zations 12, 24, 50, 100, 200, and 400 CH (centesim.l hahnem.nian dilutions) on the num.er of root galls, eggs and second-stage juveniles (J2) present in the roots of tom.to and soil, as well on the growth of tom.to plants. The Cina dem.nstrated effectiveness in stim.lating root developm.nt, once the results of root volum. were higher in hom.opathic treatm.nts than those in the control. Cina 100 CH also favored the growth of the stalk diam.ter of the plants. However, the hom.opathic product showed no nem.tostatic nor nem.ticide effects. The potentized Cina is capable to induce tom.to growth besides the presence of m. incognita infecting the roots, with no nem.totoxic effects.

Deposition of the H2A.Z histone variant by the SWR1 com.lex （SWRI-C） in regulatory regions of specific loci m.dulates transcription. Characterization of m.tations in Arabidopsis thaliana hom.logs of yeast SWRI-C has revealed a role for H2A.Z exchange in a variety of developm.ntal processes. Nevertheless, the exact com.osition of plant SWRI-C and how it is recruited to target genes rem.ins to be established. Here we show that SWC4, the Arabidopsis hom.log of yeast SANT dom.in protein Swc4/Eaf2, is a DNA-binding protein that interacts with SWR1-C subunits. We dem.nstrate that the swc4-1 knockout m.tant is em.ryo- lethal, while SWC4 RNAi knockdown lines display pleiotropic phenotypic alterations in vegetative and repro- ductive traits, including acceleration of flowering tim., indicating that SWC4 controls post-em.ryonic processes. Transcriptom.c analyses and genom.-wide profiling of H2A.Z indicate that SWC4 represses tran- scription of a num.er of genes, including the floral integrator FT and key transcription factors, m.inly by m.dulating H2A.Z deposition. Interestingly, SWC4 silencing does not affect H2A.Z deposition at the FLC locus nor expression of this gene, a m.ster regulator of flowering previously shown to be controlled by SWR1-C. Im.ortantly, we find that SWC4 recognizes specific AT-rich DNA elem.nts in the chrom.tin regions of target genes and that SWC4 silencing im.airs SWRI-C binding at FT. Collectively, our data suggest that SWC4 regulates plant growth and developm.nt by aiding SWR1-C recruitm.nt and m.dulating H2A.Z deposition.
