Previous studies have shown cost effectiveness and quality-of-life benefit of pneumatic compression therapy(PcT)for lymphedema(LE).Insurers,such as the centers for Medicare/Medicaid(cMS),however,desire visual proof that PcT moves *** infrared fuorescence lymphatic imaging(NIRFLI)was used to visualize lymphatic anatomy and function in four subjects with primary and cancer treatment-related LE of the lower extremities before,during,and after *** transparent and windowed PcT garments allowed visualization of lymph movement during single,1h PcT treatment *** revealed significant extravascular and lymphatic vascular movement of intradermally injected dye in all *** one subject with sufficient patent lymphatic vessels to allow quantification of lymph pumping velocities and frequencies,these values were significantly increased during and after PcT as compared to pre-treatment *** contractile activity in patent lymphatic vessels occurred in concert with the sequential cycling of *** visualization revealed increased lymphatic function,during and after PcT therapy,in all LE-affected *** studies are warranted to assess the effects of PcT pressure and sequences on lymph uptake and movement.

Solar radiation modification, a scheme aimed at mitigating rapid global warming triggered by anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, has been explored through the G1ext experiment under the Geoengineering Model Intercomparison Project (GeoMIP) framework, utilizing the chinese Academy of Sciences Earth System Model version 2 (cAS-ESM2.0). This paper briefly describes the basic configuration and experimental design of the cAS-ESM2.0 for G1ext, which involves a sudden reduction in solar irradiance to counterbalance the radiative forcing of an abrupt quadrupling of atmospheric cO2 concentration, running for 100 years. Preliminary results show that this model can reproduce well the compensatory effect of a uniform decrease in global solar radiation on the radiative forcing resulting from an abrupt quadrupling of cO2 concentration. Like other Earth system models, cAS-ESM2.0 reasonably captures variations in radiative adjustments, surface air temperature, and precipitation patterns, both globally and locally, under the G1ext scenario. The generated datasets have been released on the Earth System Grid Federation data server, providing insight into the potential efficacy and impact of solar geoengineering strategies.

In a supermarket refrigeration, the temperature in a display cases. This leads to a synchronous operation of all display cases, case, surprisingly, influences the temperature in other display in which the expansion valves in the display cases turn on and off at exactly the same time. This behavior increases both the energy consumption and the wear of components. Besides this practical importance, from the theoretical point of view, synchronization, likewise stability, Zeno phenomenon, and chaos, is an interesting dynamical phenomenon. The study of synchronization in the supermarket refrigeration systems is the subject matter of this work. For this purpose, we model it as a hybrid system, for which synchronization corresponds to a periodic trajectory. To examine whether it is stable, we transform the hybrid system to a single dynamical system defined on a torus. consequently, we apply a Poincare map to determine whether this periodic trajectory is asymptotically stable. To illustrate, this procedure is applied for a refrigeration system with two display-cases.

植物凝集素类受体激酶(lectin receptor-like kinases, LecRLKs),隶属于植物膜蛋白类受体激酶,LecRLKs主要由胞外凝集素结构域、跨膜结构域和胞内激酶结构域组成,根据胞外结构域的特异性,分为G型、L型和c型,凝集素类受体激酶参与植物的生长发育和环境响应调控。该文总结凝集素类受体激酶的研究历史、结构和分类,阐述植物LecRLKs的发育调控和胁迫响应功能,对功能明确的LecRLKs基因进行归类。提出凝集素类受体激酶研究中存在的不足之处,包括该家族演化历史研究极其缺乏、信号传导途径及其潜在配体亟待开展等方面。在此基础上,提出未来深入研究的方向,以期为植物凝集素类受体激酶基因家族的定向育种提供理论支持。

Novel Synthesis and characterization of cellulose Nanocrystals composites Fabricated from Rice Husks

Nanotechnology has shown interest in the utilization of agricultural byproducts as a source for nanostructured materials. Due to their distinctive chemical, thermal, mechanical, morphological, optical, and electrical properties, cellulose nanocrystals (cNcs) have often found utility in a variety of fields. Using sulphuric acid with a 64% weight-to-weight ratio, we managed to extract cNcs chemically from rice husks for the study and examined the effects of varying the hydrolysis period and synthesized composites on optical and thermal characteristics. The usual procedure for preparation was followed, but set the hydrolysis time for 40, 60 and 90 minutes, and also varied temperature at 40˚c, 45˚c and 50˚c. Tonic water and silver nanoparticles were used to synthesize the composites at different ratios. The samples were characterized using UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSc) techniques. From the results of this study, maximum absorption is observed to shift to shorter wavelengths with an increase in temperature, and the peak absorbance (maximum wavelength) generally increased with hydrolysis time at all three temperatures. The FTIR spectrum of cellulose nanocrystals (cNcs), AgNPs and their composites exhibited distinctive absorption bands indicative of their molecular structure and chemical composition. From the TGA findings, the two composites had a relatively low thermal stability, hence restricting their application to a fixed temperature and below. Additionally, this property makes the composite easily formable into intricate designs, which is ideal for use in optical components and sensors. The low melting point also facilitates recycling and reprocessing, enhancing sustainability by enabling the reuse of the material in various applications.
