Phyllanthus emblica or Indian gooseberry is an integrated part of Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese *** several decades,the well-known ancient herb has been extensively utilized in traditional medicine to cure diseases like fever,diabetes,constipation,jaundice,ulcers,biliousness,anemia,anorexia,and *** the traditional system,Indian gooseberry has various ethnomedicinal *** the Ayurvedic system,different methods of administration(anupan)have shown different ethnomedicinal properties of Indian *** well-known chemical components in Indian gooseberry have been identified through phytochemical evaluation,among which the flavonoids and phenols are most *** the toxicity perspective,it is considered a safe herb in India,and is taken as a food supplement in European *** wide-spectrum pharmacological activities of the crude extracts and isolates of Indian gooseberry are attributed to the predominance of phenols and ***,it is important to study the exact mechanism of the activity of the phytochemicals in Indian gooseberry,especially in anti-cancer *** of Indian gooseberry enhances proliferation in several cancer cells in vitro,including stem cells like ovarian cancer(OC)cells,and also has been observed to possess anti-proliferative characteristics in *** review intends to explore the therapeutic potential of Indian gooseberry based on scientific reports and attempts to find the gaps for future research.

The heavy metals present in the environment accumulate in the plants and affect their productivity and *** entering the food chain,metals cause several serious health problems in human beings as well as in other *** acetic acid(IAA)is known to act as a signaling molecule between symbiotic association of metal accumulating plants and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR).Present study demonstrated a protective role of IAA against surplus Zinc(Zn)-induced toxicity to Hordeum vulgare *** Zn concentrations suppressed the plant growth,caused a reduction in leaf relative water contents(RWC)and elevated free proline and non-protein thiols(NPT)*** treatment also led to enhanced lipid peroxidation(MDA contents)as well as the activity of ascorbate peroxidase(APX),showing the involvement of antioxidative defense mechanism to reduce Zn induced *** oxidase activity was also observed to increase due to Zn *** pretreatment of *** caryopsis could partly revert the Zn-induced toxicity in seedlings.

Hippophae rhamnoides *** a plant of immense ethnopharmacological importance and is a known source for various valuable biochemicals and *** production of folate,a vitamin involved in several vital functions,in this plant is rather poorly ***,we investigate the hypothesis that rhizobial bacteria serve the plant in this essential vitamin’s *** strains of Bacillus,Azorhizobium,Frankia,Paenibacillus,Brevibacillus and Pseudomonas,were isolated from the rhizosphere of the *** and LCMS were used to trace the production of intra and extra-cellular folate by representative rhizospheric bacterial strains in *** the seventeen functionally characterized bacterial strains of the plant’s rhizosphere,thirteen produced significant amounts of *** BR5401 produced the maximum amount of folic acid(424μg/mL),and Bacillus GY779 was the only strain capable of producing both intracellular and extra-cellular folic *** Open Reading Frame coding for dihydroneopterin aldolase,an enzyme involved in folate biosynthesis,was found in one of the representative *** experimental findings help us to suggest that the folate synthesized by rhizobial bacteria is transported to the plant,highlighting a significant benefit of coexistence.

Convective stability analysis of a micropolar fluid layer by variational method

This paper studies Rayleigh-B’enard convection of micropolar fluid layer heated from below with realistic boundary conditions.A specific approach for stability analysis of a convective problem based on variational principle is applied to characterize the Rayleigh number for quite general nature of bounding *** analysis consists of replacing the set of field equations by a variational principle and the expressions for Rayleigh number are then obtained by using trial function satisfying the essential boundary ***,the values of the Rayleigh number for particular cases of large and small values of the microrotation coefficient have been *** effects of wave number and micropolar parameter on the Rayleigh numbers for onset of stationary instability for each possible combination of the bounding surfaces are discussed and illustrated *** present analysis establishes that the nature of bounding surfaces combination and microrotation have significant effect on the onset of convection.

The stability of thermohaline convection problems of Veronis and Stern types for stationary convection is studied for quite general nature of boundaries. It is shown by means of an appropriately chosen linear transformation, that in case of stationary convection the equations describing the eigenvalue problem for thermohaline convection problems are identical to equations describing the eigenvalue problem for classical Bénard convection problem. As a consequence, the values of the critical Rayleigh numbers for the onset of stationary convection in thermohaline convection problems are obtained. Also, necessary conditions for the validity of principle of exchange of stabilities for thermohaline convection problems are derived using variational principle.

The present study screens activity of different enzymes in Trapa natans under aerobic and anaerobic physiological conditions. Experimental analysis was carried out to assay the activities of ALDH and ADH in the seed extract of T. natans. These enzymes are associated with the alcohol metabolism of the T. natans. It was observed that a metabolic pathway shifts from aerobic respiration to anaerobic fermentation under anoxic conditions. Physiological stress related response in trapa seeds gives the leads to understand the other model for better fermentable products. During the experiment it was found that there is difference between the concenteration of enzymes in anaerobic and aerobic conditions. Concentration was check with the help of spectrophotometer at 340 nm.
