This work describes the use of Tio_(2)nanotubes-based electrodes(TNT)modified with cu_(2)o nanostructures and gold nanoparticles for the photoelectroreduction of co_(2)to produce value-added compounds.A thin layer of polydopamine was used as both an adherent agent and an electron transfer mediator,due to itsπ-conjugated electron *** highest production yield was achieved using a TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode,with faradaic efficiencies of 47.4%(110.5μM cm^(-2))and 27.8%(50.4μM cm^(-2))for methanol and methane,*** performance of the photoelectrodes was shown to be cu_(2)o facet-dependent,with cubic structures leading to greater conversion of co_(2)to methanol(43%)and methane(27%),compared to the octahedral morphology,while a higher percentage of metallic gold on the nanostructured cu_(2)o surface was mainly important for *** functional theory(DfT)calculations supported these findings,attributing the superior photoelectrocatalytic performance of the TNT@PDA/Nc/Au40%electrode for cH4generation to the formation of an ocH3intermediate bonded to Au *** using isotope-labeling and analysis by gas chromatograph-mass(Gc-MS)demonstrated that13co_(2)was the source for photoelectrocatalytic generation of13cH3oH and13cH313cH2oH.

Stacking is the process of overlaying inferred species potential distributions for multiple species based on outputs of bioclimatic envelope models(bEMs).The approach can be used to investigate patterns and processes of species *** data limitations on individual species distributions are inevitable,but how do they affect inferences of patterns and processes of species richness?We investigate the influence of different data sources on estimated species richness gradients in *** fitted bEMs using species distributions data for 334 bird species obtained from(1)global range maps,(2)regional checklists,(3)museum records and surveys,and(4)citizen science data using presence-only(Mahalanobis distance),presence-background(MAXENT),and presence–absence(GAM and bRT)*** species predictions were stacked to generate species richness ***,we show that different data sources and bEMs can generate spatially varying gradients of species *** environmental predictors that best explained species distributions also differed between data *** using citizen-based data had the highest accuracy,whereas those using range data had the lowest *** richness patterns estimated by GAM and bRT models were robust to data *** multiple data sets exist for the same region and taxa,we advise that explicit treatments of uncertainty,such as sensitivity analyses of the input data,should be conducted during the process of modeling.

Transition metal sulfide(TMS)anodes exhibit the characteristics of phase stability and high capacity for lithium/sodium-ion batteries(LIbs/SIbs).However,the TMS anodes often suffer from poor electronic conductivity,low ionic diffusion and large volume expansion during Li/Na-ion intercalation significantly impairing the Li/Na-storage ***,a long chain heterostructure composed of the co_(9)S_(8) and SnS are first reported,which can generate rich phase interfaces,and small crystal *** unique structure can facilitate the properties of reactivity,conductivity and ionic *** addition,the heterostructure surface is modified by the N-doped carbon(N-Dc@(coSn)S),successfully improving the structural *** synergistic effects of co_(9)S_(8)/SnS heterostructure and coated carbon layer effectively increase the capacity and cycling *** N-Dc@(coSn)S anode delivers enhanced high specific capacities of 820.6 mAh·g^(−1) at 1.0 A·g^(–1) after 500 cycles for LIbs and 339.2 mAh·g^(–1)at 0.5 A·g^(–1) after 1000 cycles for SIbs,*** work is expected to provide a material design idea for preparing LIbs/SIbs with high capacity and long cycling life.

Recent advances in functionally graded additive manufacturing(fGAM)technology have enabled the seamless hybridization of multiple functionalities in a single *** robotics can become one of the largest beneficiaries of these advances,through the design of a facile four-dimensional(4D)fGAM process that can grant an intelligent stimuli-responsive mechanical functionality to the printed ***,we present a simple binder jetting approach for the 4D printing of functionally graded porous multi-materials(fGMM)by introducing rationally designed graded multiphase feeder *** graded cross-linking agents gradually form stable porous network structures within aqueous polymer particles,enabling programmable hygroscopic deformation without complex mechanical ***,a systematic bed design incorporating additional functional agents enables a multi-stimuli-responsive and untethered soft robot with stark stimulus *** biodegradability of the proposed 4D-printed soft robot further ensures the sustainability of our approach,with immediate degradation rates of 96.6%within 72 *** proposed 4D printing concept for fGMMs can create new opportunities for intelligent and sustainable additive manufacturing in soft robotics.
