Stable carbon isotope composition and intrinsic water use efficiency in plants along an altitudinal gradient on the eastern slope of Yulong Snow Mountain, China

Background Stable carbon isotope composition(δ13Cp) can be used to estimate the changes in intrinsic water use efficiency（iWUE） in plants,which helps us to better understand plants' response strategies to climate *** study focused on the variations in δ13Cpand iWUE for the different life-form plants（i.e.,herbs,shrubs,and trees）along an altitudinal gradient（3300,3600,3900,4100,4300,and 4500 m） on the eastern slope of Yulong Snow Mountain,southeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet *** response mechanisms of δ13Cpand iWUE for different life-form plants to altitude were thoroughly analyzed in this mountain *** The δ13Cpvalues of plants on the eastern slopes of Yulong Snow Mountain ranged from-30.4‰to-26.55‰,with a mean of-28.02‰,indicating a dominance of *** δ13Cpand iWUE values varied among different life-form plants in the order of herbs> shrubs> trees,particularly in 3600,3900,and 4300 ***δ13Cpand iWUE values for herbs and shrubs increased with altitude and were mainly controlled by air *** two parameters for trees exhibited a trend of initial decrease followed by an increase with *** 3900 m,the δ13Cpand iWUE values decreased with altitude,influenced by soil ***,above 3900 m,the two parameters increased with altitude,mainly regulated by air *** addition,iWUE was positively correlated with leaf P content but negatively correlated with leaf N:P ratio,especially for herbs and trees,suggesting that P plays a key role in modulating iWUE in this *** The diffe rentiated responses of water availability for different life-form plants to a higher altitudinal gradient are regulated by air temperature,soil moisture,and leaf P content in the Yulong Snow *** results provide valuable insights into understanding the wate r-carbon relationships in high-altitude ecosystems.

Diagnostic Value of Soluble Suppression of Tumorigenicity-2 for Heart Failure

Background：Many studies have explored the diagnostic performance of soluble suppression of tumorigenicity-2 （sST2） for heart failure （HF）,but the results are ***,we performed a meta-analysis to assess the role of sST2 in the diagnosis of ***：We searched pubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,and Wanfang Database from inception to April *** that investigated the diagnostic role of sST2 for HF were *** numbers of true-positive,false-positive,false-negative,and true-negative results were extracted to calculate pooled diagnostic odds ratio （DOR） with 95% confidence interval （CI） and the summary receiver operating characteristic curve and area under the curve （AUC）.The Spearman correlation coefficient was used to check the threshold *** Cochran Q statistic （P 〈 0.05） and the inconsistency index （I2 〉 50%） were used to assess the nonthreshold ***-regression was conducted to explore the source of heterogeneity;subgroup analysis showed the results in different ***,the Deeks＇ test was performed to assess the publication ***：Nine articles including 10 studies were included in the *** pooled sensitivity was 0.84 （95% CI：0.81-0.86）,and pooled specificity was 0.74 （95% CI：0.72-0.76）.The summary DOR was 8.49 （95% CI：4.54-15.86）,and AUC was 0.81 （standard error：0.03）.The Spearman correlation coefficient identified the nonsignificant threshold effect （coefficient =0.49,P =0.148）,but the nonthreshold effect heterogeneity was significant （Cochran Q =58.52,P 〈 0.0001;I2 =84.6%）.Meta-regression found that characteristics of controls might be the suggestive source ofnonthreshold effect heterogeneity （P =0.095）.Subgroup analysis found that DOR was 5.65 and 7.86,respectively for the controls of hospital patients and healthy ***＇ test demonstrated that there was no publication bias （P =0.616）.Conclusion：The meta-analysis illustrated that sST2 migh

An uncertainty investigation for liner impedance eduction methods

Impedance eduction methods have been developed for decades to meet the increasing need for high-quality impedance data in the design and optimization of acoustic *** this end,it is important to fully investigate the uncertainty problem,to which only limited attention has been devoted so *** paper considers the possibility of acoustically-induced structural vibration as a nonnegligible uncertainty or error source in impedance eduction *** the frequency moves away from the resonant frequency,with the increase in the value of cavity reactance,the acoustic particle velocity inside liner orifices possibly decreases to the extent comparable to the vibration velocity of liner facing ***,the acoustically-induced vibration,although generally being weak except at the inherent structural frequencies,may considerably affect the impedance eduction results near the anti-resonant frequency where the liner has poor *** demonstrate the effect of structural vibration,the vibration velocity of liner facing sheet is estimated from the experimentally educed admittance of the liner samples whose orifices are sealed with ***,a three-dimensional numerical model is set up,in which normal particle velocity is introduced over the solid portion of liner facing sheet to imitate structural vibration,rather than directly solving the acoustic-structural coupling *** shown by the results,the vibration of liner facing sheet,whose velocity is as small as estimated by the experiment,can result in anomalous deviation of the educed impedance from the impedance model near the anti-resonant *** trend that the anomalous deviation varies with frequency is numerically captured.

The as-cast amorphous Ti_(48)Zr_(27)Cu_(6)Nb_(5)Be_(14)composites,comprising in situ formedβ-Ti ductile crystalline precipitates,were prepared by water cooled copper mold suction ***,the semi-solid composites were obtained after the as-cast composites were treated by semi-solid isothermal *** microstructure evolution and kinetics of the composites were *** show that the microstructures of both the as-cast and semi-solid composites comprise ofβ-Ti crystal phases and amorphous matrix *** and after treatment,the crystals evolve from fine granular or fine dendritic crystals to coarse *** the treatment temperature increasing or the time prolonging,the average crystal size gradually increases and the surface morphology of the crystals gradually becomes *** studying the microstructural evolution and dynamics during the isothermal treatment process,it is found that the final morphology ofβ-Ti crystals is influenced by the isothermal treatment temperature and time(t),and theβ-Ti evolution rate increases with an increase in treatment *** addition,a linear relationship was observed between the size of cubicβ-Ti crystals(D^(3))and t;the growth kinetics factor K is 3.8μm^(3)·s^(-1).As the K value closes to 4μm^(3)·s^(-1),it is inferred the morphology evolution ofβ-Ti crystals is a coarsening behavior controlled by the diffusion of solute elements.

Quantifying Contribution of Recycled Moisture to Precipitation in Temperate Glacier Region,Southeastern Tibetan Plateau,China

Recycled moisture is an important indicator of the renewal capacity of regional water *** to the existence of Yulong Snow Mountain,Lijiang in Yunnan Province,southeast of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,China,is the closest ocean glacier area to the equator in *** precipitation samples were collected from 2017 to 2018 in Lijiang to quantify the effect of sub-cloud evaporation and recycled moisture on precipitation combined with the d-excess model during monsoon and non-monsoon *** results indicated that the d-excess values of precipitation fluctuated between–35.6‰and 16.0‰,with an arithmetic mean of 3.5‰.The local meteoric water line(LMWL)wasδD=7.91δ^(18)O+2.50,with a slope slightly lower than the global meteoric water line(GMWL).Subcloud evaporation was higher during the non-monsoon season than during the monsoon *** tended to peak in March and was primarily influenced by the relative *** source of the water vapour affected the proportion of recycled *** to the results of the Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory(HYSPLIT)model,the main sources of water vapour in Lijiang area during the monsoon period were the southwest and southeast *** the non-monsoon period,water vapour was transported by a southwesterly *** recycled moisture in Lijiang area between March and October 2017 was 10.62%.Large variations were observed between the monsoon and non-monsoon seasons,with values of 5.48%and 25.65%,*** differences were primarily attributed to variations in the advection of water *** recycled moisture has played a supplementary role in the precipitation of Lijiang area.

Profile grinding is the most crucial method for the ultra-precision machining of special-shaped ***,profile grinding produces a unique machining profile,and many random factors in the machining process lead to complex surface *** this study,the structural and probabilistic characteristics of the profile grinding of a special-shaped surface were analyzed,and a probabilistic algorithm for the forming and 3D characterization of special-shaped surfaces under profile grinding was *** forming process of a GH738 blade tenon tooth surface was considered as an example to demonstrate the *** comparison results showed that the simulation results had similar surface characteristics to the measurement results,and the relative error range of the 3D roughness parameter was 0.21%–19.76%,indicating an accurate prediction and characterization of the complex special-shaped surface under the action of multiple factors.

Hirschsprung's disease(HsCR)is the most common type of developmental gastrointestinal malformation causing intestinal obstruction in children,with an incidence of 1/5000 in live births.1 it is characterized by the absence of intrinsic ganglion cells in the myenteric and submucosal plexuses of the distal gastrointestinal tract,leading to the dysregulation of smooth muscle contraction/relaxation and resulting in intestinal *** on the length of the aganglionic intestine,HSCR can be categorized into short-segmental HSCR(S-HSCR),which affects up to the sigmoid colon from the anus,and long-segmental HSCR(LHSCR),which affects beyond the sigmoid colon.1 In some rare conditions,aganglionic lesions can affect the full length of the colon or even the whole intestine.

Reoxidation of liquid steel and evolution of inclusions during protective atmosphere electroslag remelting of Ce-containing heat-resistant stainless steel

The evolution of Ce-containing inclusions and its correlation with the reoxidation of liquid steel during protective atmosphere electroslag remelting(ESR)of heat-resistant steel were *** reoxidation of liquid steel took place during the ESR,resulting in the oxygen pickup from 0.0014 to 0.0053 wt.%.The inclusions in the consumable electrode,liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are Ce_(2)O_(2)S and Ce_(2)O,inclusions *** inclusions in the remelted ingot are originated from three ways:(I)the original inclusions from the electrode;(Il)the newly formed Ce_(2)O_(2)S and Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions in the liquid metal pool by reoxidation remaining still in remelted ingot;(IlI)the newly generated Ce2O2S and Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions during cooling and solidification of liquid *** relative proportions of Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions in liquid metal pool and remelted ingot are 41% and 76.5%,*** inclusions ranging from 2 to 5μm in the remelted ingot take up 55%,followed by the inclusions smaller than 2μm(43%of total inclusions).The number proportion of the Ce_(2)0,inclusions in the liquid metal pool which were removed by floating up into slag is 1.96×10-5%.

Effects of two silicone resin coatings on performance of FeSiAl magnetic powder cores

Two silicon resins with excellent thermal stability,JH1123 and JH7102,are used as the insulated agents and binders for the gas-atomized FeSiAl powder,and corresponding magnetic powder cores(MPCs)are *** insulation capability and application prospects of the two silicon resins are evaluated by comparing the magnetic properties of the coated powder and *** scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results show that uniform insulation layers are both formed on the powder ***1123 has stronger binding ability,and the JH1123-coated powder exhibits severe agglomeration,with d50(average particle size)approximately twice that of the JH7102-coated *** as-prepared MPCs exhibit outstanding soft magnetic ***,the permeability of FeSiAl@JH1123 is up to 74.0,which is 35.5%higher than that of FeSiAl@JH7102 because JH1123 can further improve the density of the *** for FeSiAl@JH7102,it has better direct current bias and lower core loss of 716.9 mW cm^(−3) at 20 mT and 1000 kHz due to its lower coercivity and greater anti-magnetic saturation ability.A comprehensive comparison shows that FeSiAl@JH1123 is suitable for medium and high frequency applications,while FeSiAl@JH7102 is more suitable for high frequency *** indicates that the use of JH1123 and JH7102 silicon resins for binding and insulated coating not only simplifies the preparation process of MPCs,but also enables the controlled production of MPCs for different applications.
