The analysis of volatile flavor components of jin xiang garlic and Tai’an garlic

The volatile flavor compounds of jin xiang garlic and Tai’an garlic in chemical composition were detected and analyzed and the contents of them were compared and determinated. The volatile constituents of jin xiang garlic and Tai’an garlic were compared and analyzed by automatic static headspace and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Qualitative analysis of samples was made through the analysis of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and NIST mass spectral library computer retrieval, and quantitative analysis was made by using area normalization method. The analysis results show that the slight difference of the volatile flavor compounds was detected in different places of origin garlic and jin xiang garlic was detected more total sulfur-containing compounds than Tai’an garlic. Meanwhile, the contents of sulfur compounds of the fresh garlic were more than the stored garlic and there were significant differences between them. The tests results indicated that flavor substances’ types were slightly different between jin xiang garlic and Tai’an garlic, and regional differences cannot affect the garlic flavor substances type. jin xiang garlic has more obvious flavor substances than Tai’an garlic which play a decisive role in the garlic flavor, such as 1,3-dithiane, and allyl trisulfide and allyl disulfide and diallyl tetrasulphide. The result of this research indicates that Automatic static headspace and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is a fast, easy, efficient and accurate method to analyze and identify the volatile flavor components of garlic.

Timed RR-interval Scatter Plots and Reverse Technology

PCK1 dysregulation in cancer: Metabolic reprogramming, oncogenic activation, and therapeutic opportunities

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A NOVEL DOPANT (C3-ABSA) FOR SYNTHESIZING TUBULAR POLYANILINE

4-(3-(4-((4-Nitrophenyl)azo)phenyloxy)propyl)aminobenzene sulfonic acid (C3-ABSA) was synthesized by the reaction of 3-bromide-1-(4-((4-nitrophenyl)azo)phenyloxy)propane (B3) with sodium p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid (ABSA) and acidification with hydrochloric acid. The C3-ABSA was characterized by FTIR, H-1-NMR and second ion mass spectrum (SIMS). The molecular formula of dehydrated C3-ABSA was estimated to be ca. C21H20O6N4S by SIMS. Its decomposition temperature was measured by TGA to be ca. 232 degreesC. It was found that tubular polyaniline (PANI) with a conductivity of 1.1 S/cm at room temperature was successfully synthesized by in-situ doping polymerization in the presence of C3-ABSA as a dopant.

Monogamy relation is one of the essential properties of quantum entanglement,which characterizes the distribution of entanglement in a multipartite *** virtual of the unified-(q,s) entropy,we obtain some novel monogamy and polygamy inequalities in general class of entanglement *** the multiqubit system,a class of tighter monogamy relations are established in term of the a-th power of unified-(q,s) entanglement for a> *** also obtain a class of tighter polygamy relations in the β-th(0≤β≤1) power of unified-(q,s) entanglement of *** these results to specific quantum correlations,e.g.,entanglement of formation,Renyi-q entanglement of assistance,and Tsallisq entanglement of assistance,we obtain the corresponding monogamy and polygamy *** examples are presented for ***,the complementary monogamy and polygamy relations are investigated for theα-th(0≤α≤1) and β-th(β≥1) powers of unified entropy,respectively,and the corresponding monogamy and polygamy inequalities are obtained.

Personalized image-based templates for precise acetabular prosthesis placement in total hip arthroplasty:a pilot study

Objective：In order to achieve accurate implantation of the acetabular prosthesis in total hip arthroplasty（THA）,we designed individual templates based on a three-dimensional（3D） model generated from computed tomography（CT） ***：Individual templates were designed for 12 patients who underwent THA.A physical template was designed to conform to the contours of the patient＇s acetabulum and to confirm the rotation of the acetabular *** guided the acetabular component ***：The preoperative and postoperative X-ray and CT scans were obtained to assess the location with respect to the accuracy of the acetabular *** all patients,the abduction angle of the acetabular component was 46.7°to 54.3°and the anteversion angle was 11.3°to 18.5°Conclusions：The assessment of postoperative CT scans demonstrated higher accuracy of the acetabular component bore when used with the individual ***,the individual template can be an alternative to the computer-assisted navigation systems,with a good cost-performance ratio.

Identification and Analyses of miRNA Genes in Allotetraploid Gossypium hirsutum Fiber Cells Based on the Sequenced Diploid *** Genome

The plant genome possesses a large number of microRNAs （miRNAs） mainly 21-24 nucleotides in length. They play a vital role in regulation of target gene expression at various stages throughout the whole plant life cycle. Here we sequenced and analyzed ~ 10 million non-coding RNAs （ncRNAs） derived from fiber tissue of the allotetraploid cotton （Gossypium hirsutum） 7 days post-anthesis using ncRNA-seq technology. In terms of distinct reads, 24 nt ncRNA is by far the dominant species, followed by 21 nt and 23 nt ncRNAs. Using ab initio prediction, we identified and characterized a total of 562 candidate miRNA gene loci on the recently assembled D5 genome of the diploid cotton G. raimondii. Of all the 562 predicted miRNAs, 22 were previously discovered in cotton species and 187 had sequence conservation and homology to homologous miRNAs of other plant species. Nucleotide bias analysis showed that the 9th and 1st positions were significantly conserved among different types of miRNA genes. Among the 463 putative miRNA target genes, most significant up/down-regulation occurred in 10-20 days post-anthesis, indicating that miRNAs played an important role during the elongation and secondary cell wall synthesis stages of cotton fiber development. The discovery of new miRNA genes will help understand the mechanisms of miRNA generation and regulation in cotton.

Investigation on the penetration of jacketed rods with striking velocities of 0.9-3.3 km/s into semi-infinite targets

In this study, a combined experimental, numerical and theoretical investigation is conducted on the penetration of semi-infinite 4340 steel targets by a homogeneous 93 W rod and two types of jacketed rods with striking velocities of 0.9-3.3 km/s. The results show that the jacketed rods produced typical“co-erosion” damage at all test velocities, except for the 93 W/1060 Al jacketed rod, which switched from an early “bi-erosion” damage to later “co-erosion” damage at a striking velocity of 936 m/s. However, the homogeneous 93 W rod always forms a large mushroom head during the penetration process. The damage mechanisms of these two types of jacketed rods differ for striking velocities of 0.9-2.0 km/s, but this difference gradually decreases with increased striking velocity. For velocities of 2.0-3.3 km/s, all three types of projectiles exhibit typical hydrodynamic penetration characteristics, and the damage mechanisms of the two types of jacketed rods are almost identical. For the same initial kinetic energy, the penetration performance of the jacketed rods is distinctly superior to that of the homogeneous 93 W *** with jacket density, jacket strength shows a more significant influence on the damage mechanism and penetration performance of the jacketed rod. Finally, an existing theoretical prediction model of the penetration depth of jacketed rods on semi-infinite targets in the co-erosion mode is modified. It transpires that-in terms of penetration depth-the modified theoretical model is in good agreement with the experimental and numerical observations for 93 W/TC4 and 93 W/1060 Al jacketed rods penetrating semi-infinite 4340 steel targets.

Bone metastases from hepatocellular carcinoma:clinical features and prognostic factors

BACKGROUND: Bone metastases (BMs) from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is an increasingly common disease in Asia. We assessed the clinical features, prognostic factors, and differences in outcomes related to BMs among patients with different treatments for HCC. METHODS: Forty-three consecutive patients who were diagnosed with BMs from HCC between January 2010 and December 2014 were retrospectively enrolled. The clinical features were identified, the impacts of prognostic factors on survival were statistically analyzed, and clinical data were compared. RESULTS: The median patient age was 54 years; 38 patients were male and 5 female. The most common site for BMs was the trunk (69.3%). BMs with extension to the soft tissue were found in 14 patients (32.5%). Most (90.7%) of the lesions were mixed osteolytic and osteoblastic, and most (69.8%) patients presented with multiple BMs. The median survival after BMs diagnosis was 11 months. In multivariate analyses, survival after BM diagnosis was correlated with Karnofsky performance status (P=0.008) and the Child-Pugh classification (P<0.001); BM-free survival was correlated with progression beyond the University of California San Francisco criteria (P<0.001) and treatment of primary tumors (P<0.001). BMs with extension to soft tissue were less common in liver transplantation patients. During metastasis, the control of intrahepatic tumors was improved in liver transplantation and hepatectomy patients, compared to conservatively treated patients. CONCLUSIONS: The independent prognostic factors of survival after diagnosis of BMs were the Karnofsky performance status and Child-Pugh classification. HCC patients developed BMs may also benefit from liver transplantation or hepatectomy.
