In recent decades,the application of seismic metamaterials to protect civil infrastructures being free of the damage of earthquakes has been attracting extensive ***,the proposed locally resonant seismic metamaterials provide the probability of isolating the low-frequency seismic wave using a small-size isolation ***,in previous studies,the energy absorption properties of locally resonant seismic metamaterials remain one of the least understood aspects of *** from the fascinating energy absorption characteristic of negative Poisson ratio(NPR)metamaterial,we creatively design a new seismic metamaterial structure by assembling the locally resonant seismic metamaterial and NPR metamaterial,to isolate seismic *** sound cone technique combining the transmission spectrum is employed to identify the surface wave from the hybrid *** generation mechanism of frequency bandgap and the isolation effectiveness of the proposed seismic metamaterial are discussed in *** results indicate that the generation of ultra-low and ultra-wide frequency bandgap with the range of 0.65 Hz–18.9 Hz is attributed to the locally resonant and energy absorption of the proposed seismic metamaterial structure and the excellent isolation effect is achieved by transforming the surface wave into the bulk *** frequency bandgap narrows as the distance increases between each *** addition,the mechanical properties of the NPR bearing,such as the Poisson ratio,mass density,and elastic modulus,have remarkable impact on the frequency bandgap,especially on the upper bound *** practical engineering,the NPR bearing with a low Poisson ratio,small mass density,and high elastic modulus is suggested for the design of the NPR locally resonant seismic metamaterial *** domain analysis for the practical seismic wave verifies that the proposed seismic metamaterial has a promising application in isolating ultra-low and ultra-wi

Stimulated Raman scattering tomography for rapid three-dimensional chemical imaging of cells and tissue

Three-dimensional(3D)imaging is essential for understanding intricate biological and biomedical systems,yet live cell and tissue imaging applications still face challenges due to constrained imaging speed and strong scattering in turbid ***,we present a unique phase-modulated stimulated Raman scattering tomography(PM-SRST)technique to achieve rapid label-free 3D chemical imaging in cells and *** accomplish PM-SRST,we utilize a spatial light modulator to electronically manipulate the focused Stokes beam along the needle Bessel pump beam for SRS tomography without the need for mechanical z *** demonstrate the rapid 3D imaging capability of PM-SRST by real-time monitoring of 3D Brownian motion of polystyrene beads in water with 8.5 Hz volume rate,as well as the instant biochemical responses to acetic acid stimulants in MCF-7 ***,combining the Bessel pump beam with a longer wavelength Stokes beam(NIR-II window)provides a superior scattering resilient ability in PM-SRST,enabling rapid tomography in deeper tissue *** PM-SRST technique providestwofold enhancement in imaging depth in highly scattering media(e.g.,polymer beads phantom and biotissue like porcine skin and brain tissue)compared with conventional point-scan *** also demonstrate the rapid 3D imaging ability of PM-SRST by observing the dynamic diffusion and uptake processes of deuterium oxide molecules into plant *** rapid PM-SRST developed can be used to facilitate label-free 3D chemical imaging of metabolic activities and functional dynamic processes of drug delivery and therapeutics in live cells and tissue.

Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks(HOFs)are a recent class of porous materials that have garnered considerable research interest owing to their distinctive *** can be constructed through judicious selection of H-bonding motifs,which are further enforced by other weak intermolecular interactions such asπ–πstacking,van der Waals forces,and framework *** advantage of these interactions,we can expand the functional field of HOFs by introducing active ***,researchers have made substantial advancements in using HOFs for chemical sensing,catalysis,proton conduction,biological applications,and *** low bonding energy of H-bonds allows for precise control over the concentration of ligands in solvents,forming diverse HOF *** varied structures offer significant advantages for producing HOFs with photo-responsive and electro-responsive ***,the presence of H-bonds in HOFs results in their inherent lower stability compared to metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)and covalent-organic frameworks(COFs)formed via coordination and covalent bonds,*** a result,the pursuit of stable and innovative HOF materials with novel functional sites remains an ongoing *** review provides an overview of recent research progress in the development of new strategies for stable HOF synthesis and applications of HOFs with stimuli-responsive *** first classified all synthetic methods reported to date and discussed the stable HOFs synthesized,as well as their unique properties and *** addition,we summarized the applications of HOFs utilizing their synergistic responses to external stimuli,including photo,electrical,pressure,and chemical *** systematically reviewed stable HOF synthesis and applications,which may lead to a deeper understanding of the structure–activity relationship for these materials and guide future HOF design.

Structural and chemical transformations of CuZn alloy nanoparticles under reactive redox atmospheres:An in situ TEM study

Alloying metals to form intermetallics has been proven effective in tuning the chemical properties of metal-based ***,intermetallic alloys can undergo structural and chemical transformations under reactive conditions,leading to changes in their catalytic *** and understanding these transformations are crucial for establishing relevant structureperformance relationships and for the rational design of alloy-based *** this work,we used CuZn alloy nanoparticles(NPs)as a model material system and employed in situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)to investigate the structural and chemical changes of CuZn NPs under H_(2),O_(2)and their *** results show how CuZn NPs undergo sequential transformations in the gas mixture at elevated temperatures,starting with gradual leaching and segregation of Zn,followed by oxidation at the NP *** remaining copper at the core of particles can then engage in dynamic behavior,eventually freeing itself from the zinc oxide *** structural dynamics arises from an oscillatory phase transition between Cu and Cu_(2)O and is correlated with the catalytic water formation,as confirmed by in situ mass spectrometry(MS).Under pure H_(2)or O_(2)atmosphere,we observe different structural evolution pathways and final chemical states of CuZn NPs compared to those in the gas *** results clearly demonstrate that the chemical state of alloy NPs can vary considerably under reactive redox atmospheres,particularly for those containing elements with distinct redox properties,necessitating the use of in situ or detailed ex situ characterizations to gain relevant insights into the states of intermetallic alloy-based catalysts and structure-activity relationships.

The principle and amelioration of lithium plating in fast-charging lithium-ion batteries

Fast charging is restricted primarily by the risk of lithium（Li） plating,a side reaction that can lead to the rapid capacity decay and dendrite-induced thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries（LIBs）.Investigation on the intrinsic mechanism and the position of Li plating is crucial to improving the fast rechargeability and safety of ***,we investigate the Li plating behavior in porous electrodes under the restricted transport of Li+.Based on the theoretical model,it can be concluded that the Li plating on the anodeseparator interface（ASI） is thermodynamically feasible and kinetically ***,the prior deposition of metal Li on the ASI rather than the anode-current collector interface（ACI） is verified *** order to facilitate the transfer of Li+among the electrode and improve the utilization of active materials without Li plating,a bilayer asymmetric anode composed of graphite and hard carbon（GH） is *** and simulation results suggest that the GH hybrid electrode homogenizes the lithiated-rate throughout the electrode and outperforms the pure graphite electrode in terms of the rate performance and inhibition of Li *** work provides new insights into the behavior of Li plating and the rational design of electrode structure.

Bacteria-responsive programmed self-activating antibacterial hydrogel to remodel regeneration microenvironment for infected wound healing

There is still an urgent need to develop hydrogels with intelligent antibacterial ability to achieve on-demand treatment of infected wounds and accelerate wound healing by improving the regeneration microenvironment. We proposed a strategy of hydrogel wound dressing with bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial property and multiple nanozyme activities to remodel the regeneration microenvironment in order to significantly promote infected wound healing. Specifically, p H-responsive H2O2self-supplying composite nanozyme（MSCO） and p H/enzyme-sensitive bacteria-responsive triblock micelles encapsulated with lactate oxidase（PPEL） were prepared and encapsulated in hydrogels composed of L-arginine-modified chitosan（CA） and phenylboronic acid-modified oxidized dextran（ODP） to form a cascade bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial composite hydrogel platform. The hydrogels respond to multifactorial changes of the bacterial metabolic microenvironment to achieve on-demand antibacterial and biofilm eradication through transformation of bacterial metabolites, and chemodynamic therapy enhanced by nanozyme activity in conjunction with self-driven nitric oxide（NO） release. The composite hydrogel showed 'self-diagnostic' treatment for changes in the wound *** self-activating antibacterial therapy in the infection stage to self-adaptive oxidative stress relief and angiogenesis in the post-infection stage, it promotes wound closure, accelerates wound collagen deposition and angiogenesis, and completely improves the microenvironment of infected wound regeneration, which provides a new method for the design of intelligent wound dressings.

Simulation of gas-solid flow characteristics of the circulating fluidized bed boiler under pure-oxygen combustion conditions

Under the pressure of carbon neutrality,many carbon capture,utilization and storage technologies have witnessed rapid development in the recent years,including oxy-fuel combustion(OFC)***,the conventional OFC technology usually depends on the flue gas recirculation system,which faces significant investment,high energy consumption,and potential low-temperature corrosion *** these deficiencies,the direct utilization of pure oxygen to achieve particle fluidization and fuel combustion may reduce the overall energy consumption and CO_(2)-capture *** this paper,the fundamental structure of a self-designed 130 t·h^(-1) pure-oxygen combustion circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler was provided,and the computational particle fluid dynamics method was used to analyze the gas-solid flow characteristics of this new-concept boiler under different working *** results indicate that through the careful selection of design or operational parameters,such as average bed-material size and fluidization velocity,the pure-oxygen combustion CFB system can maintain the ideal fluidization state,namely significant internal and external particle ***,the contraction section of the boiler leads to the particle backflow in the lower furnace,resulting in the particle suspension concentration near the wall region being higher than that in the center ***,the upper furnace still retains the classic core-annulus flow *** addition to increasing solid circulation rate by reducing the average bed-material size,altering primary gas ratio and bed inventory can also exert varying degrees of influence on the gas-solid flow characteristics of the pure-oxygen combustion CFB boiler.

Pure organic materials with persistent and efficient room-temperature phosphorescence have recently aroused great research interest due to their vast potential in *** crucial design principle for such materials is to suppress as much as possible the non-radiative decay of the triplet exciton while maintaining a moderate phosphorescent radiative ***,molecular engineering often exhibits similar regulation trends for the two ***,we propose that the quantum interference caused by aggregation can be utilized to control the phosphorescent and non-radiative decay *** systematically analyze various constructive and destructive transition pathways in aggregates with different molecular packing types and establish clear relationships between the luminescence characters and the signs of the singlet and triplet excitonic *** is shown that the decay channels can be flexibly switched on or off by regulating the packing type and excitonic *** importantly,an enhanced phosphorescent decay and a completely suppressed non-radiative decay can be simultaneously realized in the aggregate packed with inversion *** work lays the theoretical foundation for future experimental realization of quantum interference effects in phosphorescence.
