Antisana is a stratovolcano with an associated glacier located in the Ecuadorian Andes. Dr Aguirre made meteorological readings every day, at every hour from sunrise to sunset, from December 1845 to December 1846, at Antisana using a meteorological station at 4060 mamsl （meters above mean sea level）. Unfortunately, only the monthly average data have been preserved. These meteorological data are here studied and compared with the closest modern stations for monthly values of temperature, rainfall, and pressure. According to these comparisons, the year 1846 was rainy and cold in comparison with the current climate. Moreover, these observations have been useful to help resolve a debate about a possible E1Nifio event in 1846 with the high precipitation in Antisana and Quito in 1846 discarding the occurrence of an E1 Nifio event. The probable occurrence of a La Nifia event is discussed. These data are the earliest known systematic instrumental meteorological observations taken at above 4000 mamsl.

开展风尘沉积研究对于了解源区气候变化和大气循环过程具有重要意义。利用高分辨率电子探针技术,通过对铁锰结壳中风尘指示因子(Al沉积通量)的年际变化研究,探讨低纬度铁锰结壳中风尘沉积特征。结果显示:在过去近70ma中,低纬度铁锰结壳Al沉积通量平均值为300.5μg/(***),并且记录了南、北半球的不完整风尘史。在晚白垩世—晚中新世期间,M06铁锰结壳位于热带辐合带之南,受南半球风系影响,其Al沉积通量大小反映了环太平洋区域火山活动强度;晚中新世后,受北半球风系控制,M06铁锰结壳Al通量的变化反映了亚洲风尘源区构造和气候的变化。

The lightweight and high efficiency of natural structures are the inexhaustible sources for engineering improvements. The goal of the study is to find innovative solutions for mechanical lightweight design through the application of structural bionic approaches. Giant waterlily leaf ribs and cactus stem are investigated for their optimal framework and superior performance. Their structural characteristics are extracted and used in the bio-inspired design of Lin MC6000 gantry machining center crossbeam. By mimicking analogous network structure, the bionic model is established, which has better load-carrying capacity than conventional distribution. Finite Element Method （FEM） is used for numerical simulation. Results show better specific stiffness of the bionic model, which is increased by 17.36%. Finally the scaled models are fabricated by precision casting for static and dynamic tests. The physical experiments are compared to numerical simulation. The results show that the maximum static deformation of the bionic model is reduced by about 16.22%, with 3.31% weight reduction. In addition, the first four natural frequencies are improved obviously. The structural bionic design is a valuable reference for updating conventional mechanical structures with better performance and less material consumption.

We propose an in-situ method to calibrate the coil constants of the optical atomic magnetomete. This method is based on measuring the Larmor precession of spin polarized alkali metal atoms and has been demonstrated on a K-Rb hybrid atomic magnetomete. Oscillation fields of different frequencies are swept on the transverse coil. By extracting the resonance frequency through phase-frequency analysis of electron spin projection, the coil constants are calibrated to be 323.1±0.28 nT/ma, 108±0.04nT/ma, and 185.8±1.03 nT/ma along the X,Y, and Z directions, respectively.

Roadmapping, originated from industry as a strategic planning tool, is attracting increasing applications in academy. Based on the recognition that roadmapping is a knowledge creation process, this paper analyzes what kind of support is needed or helpful for establishing a creative environment for roadmapping in academy and reviews various types of such support from the perspective of i-system methodology. As case studies of such support, this paper further introduces roadmapping pratices in Janpan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

R2R3-MYB转录因子家族在植物次生代谢物合成、胁迫应答和生长发育等生命过程起着重要的调控作用。本研究基于生物信息学鉴定了绿豆(Vigna radiata L.)全基因组水平的R2R3-MYB转录因子,并对其理化性质、系统进化、染色体定位、启动子顺式作用元件及基因结构做了预测分析;此外,转录组数据和实时荧光定量PCR(QuantitativeReal-timePCR,RT-PCR)分析该转录因子在不同组织、逆境胁迫下的表达模式;并基于相关分析及蛋白互作网络,筛选到可能参与调控绿豆类黄酮生物合成的R2R3-MYB成员。结果表明,共鉴定到168个R2R3-MYB成员,其中145个分布于11条染色体, 23个成员染色体信息未知;大多数R2R3-MYB含有3个外显子,编码99~1645个氨基酸,均为亲水性蛋白;系统进化将绿豆R2R3-MYB基因家族分为30个亚组(V1~V30),不同亚组成员的基因结构存在差异;共线性分析表明,片段复制事件均进行了纯化选择;启动子顺式作用元件分析表明,绿豆R2R3-MYB基因启动子区含有大量激素响应、胁迫响应及少量的类黄酮合成响应等元件;基因表达分析表明,在叶片、叶柄、下胚轴和籽粒种皮中表达量较高的成员分别占15.5%、16.1%、16.1%和10.7%。RT-PCR分析发现,几乎所有的R2R3-MYB家族成员在低温胁迫下的相对表达量显著下调,不同成员对逆境胁迫有不同的响应模式。蛋白互作与相关性分析可知,VrMYB6、VrMYB77、VrMYB93这3个基因可能参与了绿豆类黄酮生物合成的调控。
