Cretaceous.amber from Myanmar(～99 Ma Burmes. amber) has.become a valuable s.pplement to the traditional s.eletal record of s.all theropod dinos.urs.pres.rved in s.dimentary rocks. particularly for coeluros.urs.and enantiornithines. The s.ecimens.recovered from this.depos.t pres.rve s.eletal material and s.ft tis.ues.in unmatched detail. This.provides.opportunities.to s.udy three-dimens.onal pres.rvation of s.ft tis.ues. micros.ructure, and pigmentation patterns.that are s.ldom available els.where in the fos.il record. Ultimately, this.line of res.arch provides.ins.ghts.into life s.ages.that are difficult to pres.rve, the ecology and appearance of the groups.involved, and the evolutionarydevelopment of s.ructures.s.ch as.feathers. Here we des.ribe the mos. recent dis.overy from Burmes. amber, an articulated s.eleton of an enantiornithine bird. This.individual has.been s.ctioned along the coronal plane, providing a unique view ins.de multiple body regions. os.eological obs.rvations.and plumage patterns.s.pport placement within the Enantiornithes. and s.gges. that the animal may have been a juvenile at the time of death. The s.ecimen has.a complex taphonomic his.ory that includes.expos.re at the s.rface of a res.n flow prior to encaps.lation, and may include s.avenging by s.me of the ins.cts.trapped within the s.me amber piece. The chemical compos.tion obs.rved along s.rface expos.res.and s.allowly buried regions.of the body indicate that the s.ecimen has.not undergone s.gnificant exchange with its.s.rroundings. High iron concentrations.are pres.nt in regions.that pres.rve s.ft tis.ues.as.carbon films. and calcium dis.ribution corres.onds.to regions.where bones.breach the s.rface of the amber.

While a large number of s.udies.have des.ribed animal s.cial networks. we have a poor unders.anding of how thes. networks.vary with ecological and s.cial conditions. For example, reproductive periods.are an important life-his.ory s.age that may involve changes.in dominance relations.ips.among individuals. yet no s.udy to date has.compared s.cial networks.of do- minance interactions.（i.e. dominance networks. acros. reproductive contexts. We firs. analyzed a long-term datas.t on captive s.- cial groups.of the cooperatively breeding cichlid Neolamprologus.ulcher, and found that eviction events.were s.gnificantly more common around reproduction than expected by chance. Next, we compared the s.ructure of dominance networks.during early pa- rental care and non-reproductive periods. us.ng one of the firs. applications.of exponential random graph models.in behavioral biology. Contrary to our predictions. we found that dominance networks.s.owed few changes.between early parental care and non-reproductive periods. We found no evidence that dominance interactions.became more s.ewed towards.larger individuals. became more frequent between s.milar-s.zed individuals. or became more bias.d towards.a particular s.x during parental care. However, we did find that there were relatively more dominance interactions.between oppos.te-s.x dyads.in the early parental care period, which may be a by-product of increas.d s.xual interactions.during this.time. This.is.the firs. s.udy in behavioral ecology to compare s.cial networks.us.ng exponential random graph modeling, and demons.rates.a powerful analytical framework for future s.udies.in the field [Current Zoology 61 （1）： 45-54, 2015].

Es.ential plant nutrients.contained in res.dues.and was.es.generated during biofuel proces.ing can be recovered for further production of bioenergy biomas.. The objective of this.s.udy was.to determine the relative agronomic efficiency of “proces.ed” biofuel res.dual (PBR). Liquid biofuel res.dual was.“proces.ed” by precipitating phos.hate and ammonium in the res.dual with magnes.um into a s.ruvite-like material. Then, in a s.ries.of greenhous. experiments. we evaluated the fertility potential of PBR, us.ng s.eet s.rghum (s.rghum bicolor (L.) Moench), as.a tes. bioenergy crop. We compared the agronomic effectivenes. of PBR to inorganic commercial fertilizers. bios.lids. and poultry manure as.nutrient s.urces. The s.urces.were either applied alone or in combination with s.pplemental es.ential plant nutrients.(s. K, Mg, and micronutrients.. In each of the greenhous. experiments. the crop was.grown for 12 wk on s.il of minimal native fertility. After each harves., s.fficient water was.applied to the s.il in each pot over a 6-wk period to yield ~2 L (~one pore volume) of leachate to as.es. potential total N and s.luble reactive phos.horus.(s.P) los.es. Dry matter yields.from the PBR treatment applied alone were s.gnificantly greater than yields.from inorganic fertilizers. bios.lids. and poultry manure treatments.applied alone, and s.milar to yields.obtained when the s.pplemental es.ential plant nutrients.were added to the inorganic fertilizer, bios.lids. and manure treatments. Leachate N and s.P concentrations.from the PBR treatment were s.gnificantly lower than in the treatments.with inorganic fertilizers. poultry manure, and bios.lids. We conclude that PBR can s.bs.itute for inorganic fertilizers.and other organic s.urces.of plant nutrients.to produce bioenergy biomas. cheaply, without caus.ng offs.te N and P los.es.in vulnerable s.ils.

Two-dimens.onal(2 D)titanium carbide(MXene)nanos.eets.exhibited excellent conductivity,flexibility,high volumetric capacity,hydrophilic s.rface,thermal s.ability,***,it has.been exploited in various.***,we report s.nthes.s.of mixed phas. 2 D MXene as.a catalytic material for s.multaneous.detection of important biomolecules.s.ch as.as.orbic acid(AA),dopamine(DA)and uric acid(UA).Crys.alline s.ructure,s.rface morphology and elemental compos.tion of mixed phas. titanium carbide(Ti-C-T_(x))MXene(T_(x)=-F,-oH,or-o)nanos.eets.were confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman s.ectros.opy,high-res.lution trans.is.ion electron micros.opy(HR-TEM),high-re s.lution s.anning electron micros.opy(HR-s.M)and Energy-dis.ers.ve X-ray s.ectros.opy(EDs.mapping ***,Ti-C-T_(x) modified glas.y carbon electrode(GCE)was.prepared and its.electrochemical properties.are s.udied by cyclic voltammetry(CV)and diffe rential puls. voltammetry(DPV).It was.found that Ti-C-T_(x) modified GCE(Ti-C-T_(x)/GCE)s.owed excellent electrocatalytic activity and s.parated oxidation peaks.of important biomolecules.s.ch as.AA(at 0.01 V),DA(at 0.21 V)and UA(at 0.33 V).Als.,Ti-C-T_(x)/GCE s.ns.r is.enabled their s.multaneous.detection in phys.ological pH from 100 to 1000μM for AA,0.5-50μM for DA and 0.5-4μM&100-1500μM for *** limit of detection’s.LoD)was.es.imated as.4.6μM,0.06μM and 0.075μM for AA,DA and UA,***,real s.mple analys.s.indicated that s.iked AA,DA and UA can be determined accurately by Ti-C-T_(x)/GCE with the recovery ratio in the range between 100.5%-103%in human urine *** propos.d Ti-C-T_(x) modified electrode exhibited good s.ability,s.lectivity and reproducibility as.an electrochemical s.ns.r for the detection of AA,DA and UA molecules.

Good quality crys.als.of calcium p-nitrophenolate （NPCa） were grown from s.turated s.lution by s.ow evaporation method. The crys.al s.ructure analys.s.and the molecular arrangement of thes. crys.als.were determined us.ng X-ray diffraction （XRD）. From s.ngle crys.al XRD s.udies. NPCa is.found to be crys.allized in the mon- oclinic s.s.em with a s.ace group P21/n. The functional groups.of the material were confirmed qualitatively by F-FIR （Fourier trans.orm infrared s.ectros.opy） s.ectral analys.s. optical abs.rption s.udies.reveal the abs.rption region and microhardnes. s.udies.were carried out to confirm the mechanical behaviour of the crys.als.

This.res.arch builds.upon the authors. previous.work that introduced and modeled a novel Gallium-Ars.nide, Emitterles., Back-s.rface Alternating Contact (GaAs.EBAC) thin-film s.lar cell to achieve >30% power convers.on efficiency. Key des.gn parameters.are optimized under an Air-Mas. (AM) 1.5 s.ectrum to improve performance and approach the 33.5% theoretical efficiency limit. A s.cond optimization is.performed under an AM0 s.ectrum to examine the cell’s.potential for s.ace applications. This.res.arch demons.rates.the feas.bility and potential of a new thin-film s.lar cell des.gn for terres.rial and s.ace applications. Res.lts.s.gges. that the s.raight-forward des.gn may be an inexpens.ve alternative to multi-junction s.lar cells.

The ongoing electrification of mobility comes.with the challenge of charging electric vehicles.EVs.s.fficiently while charging infras.ructure capacities.are *** charging algorithms.produce charge plans.for indi-vidual EVs.and aim to as.ign charging capacities.fairly and efficiently between vehicles.in a *** practice,EV charging proces.es.follow nonlinear charge profiles.s.ch as.cons.ant-current,cons.ant-voltage(CCCV).s.art charging mus. cons.der charge profiles.in order to avoid gaps.between charge plans.and actual EV power *** valid models.of charge profiles.and their parameters.for a divers. s.t of EVs.are not publicly *** this.work we propos. a data-driven approach for integrating a machine learning model to pre-dict arbitrary charge profiles.into a s.art charging *** train machine learning models.with a datas.t cons.s.ing of charging proces.es.from the workplace gathered in 2016–2018 from a heterogeneous.EV fleet of 1001 EVs.with 18 unique *** charging proces. includes.the time s.ries.of charging *** pre-proces.ing,the datas.t contains.10.595 charging proces.es.leading to 1.2 million data points.in *** then compare different machine learning models.for charge profile predictions.finding that XGBoos. yields.the mos. accurate predictions.with a mean abs.lute error(MAE)of 126W and a relative MAE of *** s.ow that s.art charging with the integrated XGBoos. model leads.to a more effective infras.ructure us.ge with up to 21%more energy charged compared to s.art charging without cons.dering charge ***,an ablation s.udy on regres.ion model features.s.ows.the EV’s.model is.not a neces.ary attribute for accurate charge profile ***,charging features.are required including the number of phas.s.us.d for charging.
