锌可以作为结构,调控,催化离子参与人体内的多种代谢。为了维持代谢功能,需要一个较宽范围的锌摄入来控制细胞,组织,和全身的锌稳态,因而使得评价锌缺乏和过剩变得困难。BOND(营养发展生物标志物)工程的锌专家小组推荐了3种指标评价锌的状态:膳食锌摄入,血浆锌浓度(PZc),以及和儿童的年龄别身高。用膳食锌和植酸估计的潜在可吸收的膳食锌总量可以用来识别个体个群体锌缺乏的风险。血浆锌浓度在膳食锌摄入不足和补锌时会有相应的变化,同时它也会在全身锌稳态和临床性缺锌之间进行调节。血浆锌浓度可以用来识别个体和人群的锌缺乏风险,然而在评估锌的状态时仍有局限。食品中的添加锌对血浆锌浓度的影响比餐外补充影响要小。血浆锌由于受到膳食锌的影响,个体差异很大,并且受到近期饮食、时间、炎症、一些药物和激素的影响。没有足够的数据支持与膳食摄入锌变化水平相一致的发锌、尿锌、指甲锌和血锌可以作为评价锌状态的生物标志物。生长情况是唯一推荐的锌的潜在功能指标。因为药物摄入的锌的剂量不足以促进生长,如果补锌能促进生长则表示这是锌缺乏的前兆。由于锌依赖性酶和蛋白质的活性或量,以及氧化应激、炎症或DNA损伤的生物标志物的信息不足,这些功能性指标也不推荐在临床或者其他领域来评价锌的营养状况。

A two-phase study evaluating the relationship between Thimerosal-containing vaccine administration and the risk for an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis in the United States

Background:Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is defined by standardized criteria of qualitative impairments in social interaction,qualitative impairments in communication,and restricted and stereotyped patterns of behavior,interests,and activities.A significant number of children diagnosed with ASD suffer a loss of previously-acquired skills,which is suggestive of neurodegeneration or a type of progressive encephalopathy with an etiological pathogenic basis occurring after *** date,the etiology of ASD remains under debate,however,many studies suggest toxicity,especially from mercury(Hg),in individuals diagnosed with an *** present study evaluated concerns about the toxic effects of organic-Hg exposure from Thimerosal(49.55%Hg by weight)in childhood vaccines by conducting a two-phased(hypothesis generating/hypothesis testing)study with documented exposure to varying levels of Thimerosal from ***:A hypothesis generating cohort study was undertaken to evaluate the relationship between exposure to organic-Hg from a Thimerosal-containing Diphtheria-Tetanus-acellular-Pertussis(DTaP)vaccine in comparison to a Thimerosal-free DTaP vaccine administered,from 1998 through 2000,for the risk of ASD as reported in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System(VAERS)database(phase I).A hypothesis testing case–control study was undertaken to evaluate the relationship between organic-Hg exposure from Thimerosal-containing hepatitis B vaccines administered at specific intervals in the first six months of life among cases diagnosed with an ASD and controls born between 1991 through 1999 in the Vaccine Safety Datalink(VSD)database(phase II).Results:In phase I,it was observed that there was a significantly increased risk ratio for the incidence of ASD reported following the Thimerosal-containing DTaP vaccine in comparison to the Thimerosal-free DTaP *** phase II,it was observed that cases diagnosed with an ASD were significantly more likely than controls to rece

Feasibility of using pedometers in a state-based surveillance system：2014 Arizona Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System

Background: Despite their utility in accessing ambulatory movement, pedometers have not been used consistently to monitor physical activity in U.S. surveillance systems. This study was designed to determine the feasibility of using pedometers to assess daily steps taken in a sub-sample of adults from Maricopa county who completed the 2014 Arizona Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System ***: Respondents were sent an Omron HJ324 U pedometer, a logbook to record steps taken, and a walking questionnaire. The pedometer was worn for 7 days. Feasibility was assessed for acceptability(interest in study), demand(procedures followed correctly), implementation(time to complete study), and practicality(cost).Results: Acceptability was modest with 23.9%(830/3476) agreeing to participate. Among those participating(92.9%; 771/830), 50.1%(386/771)returned the logbook. Demand was modest with 39.3%(303/771) of logbooks returned with valid data. Implementation represented 5 months to recruit participants. The cost to obtain valid step-count data was USD61.60 per person. An average of 6363 ± 3049 steps/day were taken with most participants classified as sedentary(36.0%) or low active(35.6%).conclusion: The feasibility of using pedometers in a state-based surveillance system is modest at best. Feasibility may potentially be improved with easy-to-use pedometers where data can be electronically downloaded.

Rapid industrialization and urbanization along with a growing population are contributing significantly to air pollution in *** of long-term aerosol optical depth(AOD)data from models and reanalysis,can greatly promote understanding of spatiotemporal variations in air pollution in *** do this,AOD(550 nm)values from 2000 to 2014 were obtained from the coupled Model Intercomparison Project(cIMP6),the second version of Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research,and Applications(MERRA-2),and the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS;flying on the Terra satellite)combined Dark Target and Deep Blue(DTB)aerosol *** used the TerraMODIS DTB AOD(hereafter MODIS DTB AOD)as a standard to evaluate cMIP6 Ensemble AOD(hereafter cMIP6 AOD)and MERRA-2 reanalysis AOD(hereafter MERRA-2 AOD).Results show better correlations and smaller errors between MERRA-2 and MODIS DTB AOD,than between cMIP6 and MODIS DTB AOD,in most regions of china,at both annual and seasonal ***,significant under-and over-estimations in the MERRA-2 and cMIP6 AOD were also observed relative to MODIS DTB *** long-term(2000-2014)MODIS DTB AOD distributions show the highest AOD over the North china Plain(0.71)followed by central china(0.69),Yangtse River Delta(0.67),Sichuan Basin(0.64),and Pearl River Delta(0.54)*** lowest AOD values were recorded over the Tibetan Plateau(0.13±0.01)followed by Qinghai(0.19±0.03)and the Gobi Desert(0.21±0.03).Large amounts of sand and dust particles emitted from natural sources(the Taklamakan and Gobi Deserts)may result in higher AOD in spring compared to summer,autumn,and *** were also calculated for 2000-2005,for2006-2010(when china introduced strict air pollution control policies during the 11 th Five Year Plan or FYP),and for 2011-2014(during the 12 th FYP).An increasing trend in MODIS DTB AOD was observed throughout the country during *** uncontrolled industrialization,urbanization,and rapid eco
