Properties of multilayer gallium and aluminum doped ZnO(GZO/AZO) transparent thin films deposited by pulsed laser deposition process

Multilayer gallium and aluminum doped ZnO （GZO/AZO） films were fabricated by alternative deposition of Ga-doped zinc oxide（GZO） and Al-doped zinc oxide（AZO） thin film by using pulsed laser deposition（PLD） process. The electrical and optical properties of these GZO/AZO thin films were investigated and compared with those of GZO and AZO thin films. The GZO/AZO （1：1） thin film deposited at 400 ~C shows the electrical resistivity of 4.18 x 10 4 ~.cm, an electron concentration of 7.5 x 1020/cm3, and carrier mobility of 25.4 cm2/（V.s）. The optical transmittances of GZO/AZO thin films are over 85%. The optical band gap energy of GZO/AZO thin films linearly decreases with increasing the AI ratio.

Magnetic field stabilization system designed for the cold-atom coherent population-trapping clock

Accurate control of magnetic fields is crucial for cold-atom experiments,often necessitating custom-designed control systems due to limitations in commercially available power ***,we demonstrate precise and flexible control of a static magnetic field by employing a field-programmable gate array and a feedback *** setup enables us to maintain exceptionally stable current with a fractional stability of 1 ppm within 30 *** error signal of the feedback loop exhibited a noise level of 10~(-5)A·Hz~(-1/2)for control bandwidths below 10 k *** this precise magnetic field control system,we investigate the second-order Zeeman shift in the context of cold-atom coherent population-trapping (CPT)*** analysis reveals the second-order Zeeman coefficient to be 574.21 Hz/G~2,with an uncertainty of 1.36 Hz/G~***,the magnetic field stabilization system we developed allows us to achieve a second-order Zeeman shift below10~(-14),surpassing the long-term stability of current cold-atom CPT clocks.

Global Dynamics of a Multi-group SEIR Epidemic Model with Infection Age

Consider the heterogeneity(e.g.,heterogeneous social behaviour,heterogeneity due to different geography,contrasting contact patterns and different numbers of sexual partners etc.)of host population,in this paper,the authors propose an infection age multigroup SEIR epidemic *** model system also incorporates the feedback variables,where the infectivity of infected individuals may depend on the infection *** the direction of mathematical analysis of model,the basic reproduction number R_0 has been *** global stability of disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium have been established in the term of R_(0).More precisely,for R_(0)≤1,the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and for R_(0)>1,they establish global stability of endemic equilibrium using some graph theoretic techniques to Lyapunov function *** considering a numerical example,they investigate the effects of infection age and feedback on the prevalence of the *** result shows that feedback parameters have different and even opposite effects on different ***,by choosing an appropriate value of feedback parameters,the disease could be eradicated or maintained at endemic ***,the infection age of infected individuals may also change the behaviour of the disease,global stable to damped oscillations or damped oscillations to global stable.

Synthesis and Characterization of SiO_2 Coated γ-Fe_2O_3 Nanocomposite Powder for Hyperthermic Application

SiO2 coated γ-Fe2O3 nanocomposite powder has been successfully synthesized by chemical vapor condensation process and its feasibility on hyperthermic application was investigated in this study. The power loss of SiO2 coated γ-Fe2O3 nanocomposite powder which means the magnetic heating effect under alternative magnetic field was much higher than the single phase γ-Fe2O3 nano powder due to the very fine size under 20 nm and well dispersion in biologically compatible SiO2 matrix. The superparamagnetism and hyperthermic property of SiO2 coated γ-Fe2O3 nanocomposite powder were discussed in terms of microstructural development in this study.

Calculation of the intake retention fraction and dose coefficients in ^99mTc-labelled compound for internal exposure for medical workers

For recent decades, a considerable amount of 99mTc has been stimulated for diagnosis radiopharmaceuticals because of its physical advantages. The increase in the use of 99mTc makes naturally more chances of internal exposure for not only patients but also medical workers. The patient internal exposure by an intravenous injection has been assessed relatively well with the reports of International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) or Medical Internal Radiation Dose(MIRD). However, there are few studies which can support its accurate assessment for medical worker who treats 99mTc. In spite of the absence of information, the physiological information of each 99mTc-labelled compound for patient, provided by ICRP, can be used optionally for worker exposure because the behaviors after uptake to blood are similar for patient and worker. Using the data, in this study, the data for bioassay were given as the intake whole-body retention and urinary excretion function. We selected the two most frequently used 99mTc-labelled compounds based on statistical data; 99mTc-phosphonate, pertechnetate. The data of the Human Alimentary Tract Model (HATM, publication 100) and the revised Human Respiratory Tract Model (revised HRTM, OIR) were used for compartment models which depict the physiological behavior in body after intake. In case of 99mTc-phosphonate, we adopted the systemic model for patient intake described in ICRP publication 53 based on the assumption that the behaviors after uptake to blood are similar for patient and worker. On the other hand, recent updated systemic model in OIR report could be directly adopted for pertechnetate. We used Birchall's algorithm for calculation and developed the module which could calculate the retention amounts in each compartment at given time by MATLAB. Removal of heavy metals using waste eggshell

The removal capacity of toxic heavy metals by the reused eggshell was studied. As a pretreatment process for the preparation of reused material from waste eggshell, calcination was performed in the furnace at 800℃ for 2 h after crushing the dried waste eggshell. Calcination behavior, qualitative and quantitative elemental information, mineral type and surface characteristics before and after calcination of eggshell were examined by thermal gravimetric analysis （TGA）, X-ray fluorescence （XRF）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, respectively. After calcination, the major inorganic composition was identified as Ca （lime, 99.63%） and K, P and Sr were identified as minor components. When calcined eggshell was applied in the treatment of synthetic wastewater containing heavy metals, a complete removal of Cd as well as above 99% removal of Cr was observed after 10 rain. Although the natural eggshell had some removal capacity of Cd and Cr, a complete removal was not accomplished even after 60 rain due to quite slower removal rate. However, in contrast to Cd and Cr, an efficient removal of Pb was observed with the natural eggshell rather than the calcined eggshell. From the application of the calcined eggshell in the treatment of real electroplating wastewater, the calcined eggshell showed a promising removal capacity of heavy metal ions as well as had a good neutralization capacity in the treatment of strong acidic wastewater.

Study of fuzzy entropy and similarity measure on intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) was proposed and analyzed. Unlike fuzzy set, IFSs contain uncertainty named hesitance, which is contained in fuzzy membership function itself. Hence, designing fuzzy entropy is not easy because of many entropy definitions. By considering different fuzzy entropy definitions, fuzzy entropy on IFSs is designed and discussed. Similarity measure was also presented and its usefulness was verified to evaluate degree of similarity.

Mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of Al-additive friction stir welded AZ31B joints

Compared to other structural alloys,magnesium alloys have a relatively poor corrosion resistance and low mechanical strength,which can be further deteriorated when these alloys are subjected to joining processes using the existing joining ***,we propose for the first time an additive friction stir-welding(AFSW)using fine Al powder as an additive to improve the mechanical strength as well as corrosion resistance of AZ31B weld *** is a solid-state welding method of forming a high-Al AZ31B joint via an in-situ reaction between pure Al powders filled in a machined groove and the AZ31B *** optimize the process parameters,AFSW was performed under different rotational and transverse speeds,and number of passes,using tools with a square or screw *** particular,to fabricate a weld zone,where the Al was homogenously dispersed,the effects of the groove shape were investigated using three types of grooves:surface one-line groove,surface-symmetric grooves,and inserted symmetric *** homogenous and defect-less AFS-welded AZ31B joint was successfully fabricated with the following optimal parameters:1400 rpm,25 mm/min,four passes,inserted symmetric grooves,and the tool with a square *** AFSW fully dissolved the additive Al intoα-Mg and in-situ precipitated Mg_(17)Al_(12)particles,which was confirmed via scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscope,and X-ray diffraction *** microhardness,joint efficiency,and elongation at the fracture point of the AFS-welded AZ31B joint were 80 HV,101%,and 8.9%,*** values are higher than those obtained for the FS-welded AZ31 joint in previous *** corrosion resistance of the AFS-welded AZ31B joint,evaluated via hydrogen evolution measurements and potentiodynamic polarization tests,was enhanced to 55%relative to the FS-welded AZ31B joint.
